Countries at War: Revised Mode
Brother, I'm starting this again, but let me run a few things across.
1. Don't ask too many questions, or I'll crack down on you like Cold War KGB on American Spy.
2. Don't suggest crap, that's one of the reasons I stop these.
3. Do not, I repeat, do not attempt a take over of this thread.
4. No ridiculous nation naming, if you do that you're immediately booted.
5. I can boot players due to personal vendetta. (Read: Armok and Dwarf mc dwarf/Medicine Man.)
6. No Micronations. That means you, Barbarossa.
Now, back to the other shit.
1. All countries/groups start out at the same level, with a starting income of 500$, and 4 Regular Infantry Divisions.
2. Alliances can be made and broken at will.
3. Land units, helicopters, and most air units may only move through 2 countries at a time, Transport planes may fly over an ocean in one trip or over 3 nations in one trip. Sea units are able to move to the coast of any nation as long as they can be accessed from the sea.
4. Obviously a battleship ain't worth $2000, but I simply shortened it, geez.
1. Battle results are judged by the random number generator.
2. The winning players units are damaged if the losers number is close by at maximum a number of 30, barring the use of them for one turn.
3. Upgrading your army is a lump sum.
4. Units can be given to other players.
5. Income comes in at the start of each turn.
6. If a unit or structure is bought, it will be available the next turn.
7. Bunkers add a modifier of 5 to defense. Trench-Pillbox installation adds a modifier of 7 to defense.
8. Mercenaries are random, and when you hire them you can get a group of militia or an armored tank corp.
9. Don't ask me why Commandos are mass trained into divisions.
1. Regulars,$500: Modifier of 8 on offense and 10 on defense.
2. Militia, $125: Modifier of 2 for defense and offense.
3. Marines/Rangers/Paratroopers, $1000: Modifier of 13 on attack and 12 on Defense.
4. Commandos, $1300: Modifier of 15 on attack and Defense.
5. Light Infantry, $900: Modifier of 12 on Offense and Defense. Exclusive to GDI.
5. All infantry suffers a negative modifier when facing an Armored Division/Air Group/A ship fleet.
1. Light Tanks/Mechanized Vehicles, $750: Modifier of 7 on Defense and Offense. Negates Infantry modifiers by 2.
2. Medium Tanks, $1650: Modifier of 11 on both Offense and Defense. Negates infantry modifiers by 2.
3. Main Battle Tanks, $2000: 12 on both Offense and Defense. Negates infantry modifiers by 4.
(Note: Obviously includes anti-air.)
1. Frigate-Patrol boat group, $300: Modifier of 5 on Defense and Offense. Negates infantry modifiers by 1.
2. Destroyer-Frigate-Patrol Boat group, $900: Modifier of 8.5 on Offense and 8 on Defense. Negates infantry modifiers by 3.
3. Battleship-Cruiser group, $1500: Modifier of 12 on Offense and Defense. Negates infantry modifiers by a whopping 5. Can transport 3 infantry divisions or one armored division.
4. Carriers, $900: Addon for the above unit, allows the transport of air units.
0.5: All air units negates all infantry by 4, excepting helicopters.
1. Fighter Jets, $750: Modifier of 8 on all air units, unable to attack infantry.
2. Bombers, $700: Modifier of 7, only able to attack ground units.
3. Fighter-Bomber Jets, $1250: Modifier of 8, able to attack both infantry and air units.
4. Transport Plane, $750: Only able of transport.
5. Helicopter Gunships/Attack Helicopters, $750: Modifier of 5 on ground an modifier of 3 on air units, negates infantry modfiers by 2.

Brother, if you try to upgrade/research things like 'Strengthened hull' or 'Infantry Exoskeleton' I'll work out a price and a modifier.

Anyway, Phantom, I've a map for you. I copied and halved the size of the first map Barbarossa posted (you said it was albeit large), removed the blured lines (so you'll have a easier time editing it) and colored the countries currently listed in the first post. Note that there may be a few oddities from the size halving and the sharpening of the lines, but I'm pretty sure I found and fixed quite a few if not all of them.

Ireland, a poor country with only a revenue of $125 was invaded and successfully captured today, with no resistance. France, on the other hand, was crushed today by 2 of the British infantry divisions. Overall, this brought Britain 2 new territories and a revenue increase of $275.

Recovered from a Polish soldiers headcam, a Ukrainian Spetznaz Rifleman coldly stares at the soldier before the soldier is executed by Precision Rifle Fire. Currently, Ukraine was planning a pact with Russia, it is unknown if the pact will sill go on. In other news, a heated battle was caused in Germany, as 2 Infantry Divisions of similar skill battled it out, but Poland successfully the victor. 2 Infantry divisions are deemed lost in Ukraine, while Poland gains a $315 Revenue increase.
Recently, Panama was stricken by revolution. Now, it is striking for war. Costa Rica was overpowered, and Colombia becoming ready to defend with 2 divisions of Regulars, or engage in a treaty with the newly formed G.L.A. cell. Because of the G.L.A. Conquests, Panama has seen an increase of revenue by a pitiful $50.
To no ones surprise, 2 countries were taken today, most notably Swaziland. They are also researching Military Indoctrination, which our researchers estimate would take about $1125 monetary units, now $625 for them, to fully research it. It would cut costs of training infantry by $200, except for Militia, as they are simple National Guardsmen and such. South Africa has also gained a $124 revenue increase.
Not much, they capture Burkina Faso and Guinea with some infantry losses, but they gained an increase of revenue by $315
As of today, Australia has taken control of New Zealand with major losses despite the resistance only being 3 Militia Divisions. Indonesia was successfully taken over also, but with losses. A small fleet has also arrived under Australia's command. Right now, they are attempting to replicate Laser weapons, which would cost about $2000 and increase firepower greatly on vehicles, but Laser Weaponry is unable to be used by infantry due to bulk, despite NOD research reports. Revenue increase of $476 has occurred in Australia.
Ah great, the G.L.A. had distracted Columbia enough for it to be attacked, but due to close fighting it ended in a stalemate.
Well, they attacked G.D.I. but couldn't even get past the Firestorm Shield Defense. G.D.I. treats this as simply a training session rather than an actual attack.
Consider changing me to dark grey or something, because currently my entire empire will end up being a single homogeneous blob, which would be unbalanced, on account of all my defences and investments working across my entire empire.
Yeah, erm, doing that next turn or something.
