Dear god what am I getting myself into
Ok, I'm new to the forums, having only joined less than a month ago, but I've joined several games and RPs, and after reading a few more, an idea came to mind. An Attack on Titan, or Shingeki no Kyojin as it's known in Japan, RP with the players taking the roles of new soldiers, with a plot entirely separate from the plot of the original manga and anime.
If that meant nothing to you, look it up on crunchyroll.
OOC thread! (http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=150661.0)
The Walled City of Attack on Titan has absolutely no contact with the rest of the world. The names and official ethnicities of the characters suggest that it is in Europe somewhere. Therefore, there may be other Walled Cities, on other continents. In this case, North America, and more specifically, the USA. This one is going to be laid out exactly the same as the one from the source material for simplicity's sake. The largest wall is Wall Athena, then Wall Aphrodite, then Wall Demeter. Suggestions for the names of the towns on the outsides of the walls would be appreciated. Like the first wall of AoT, wall Athena was breached. The equivalent of the Survey Corps, the Recon Corps, is trying to take it back, and has supply camps set up along the main road to the breached part. The players are new soldiers, most likely members of this group. I'm not sure if I'll allow player-controlled Titan Shifters.
I haven't actually written up the plot yet, but I have ideas. We're using the Titan World system. (http://download1826.mediafire.com/e6t9pwtnxdog/pch2cfc2uslfdxy/TITAN+WORLD.pdf)

What can we use to our advantage in this situation?
((I'm having a hard time keeping track of what's going on in general. I'd appreciate it if we had spoilers telling us who's where and doing what, as well as how many titans there are and what they're doing.))
Hm... that last Titan probably isn't getting up anytime soon. He's probably an easy kill. Hans receives the Confident bonus (+2 to execution.)

"Alice Sterling.”
The group reaches the Science Facility. It is an absolutely huge box of a building, tall enough to enclose even the biggest Titans, with the equally large holding facility right next to it. A hole in the wall of the latter is currently being repaired. Both buildings are on islands in the middle of a huge lake, with a bridge running across to the science facility. The bridge is lined in columns, and has a roof. “This’ll be your home for the next couple days, Alexander.” Anita says while they’re riding across. “You’ll be up with the rest of the scientists. Don’t worry, the rooms are comfortable.”
About half of the group is across (Alexander, Eric, (?) Alix, and (?)Tobias), when something happens. A huge explosion suddenly rends the bridge in two, killing those in the middle. None of the rookies are injured, except for Michael, who is knocked unconscious by the blast ((FelixSparks is leaving the game, but I’m leaving Michael alive.)). Suddenly, men in black cloaks with maneuver gear appear on the back half of the bridge. “Can’t let you keep him, sorry.” the one in front says. They draw blades.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Anita takes the rest into the facility. “Damn it! Richard, go get the MP! We’re under attack!”
Richard nods, and after letting Eric off, rides off on an alternate route. “We should be safe here…” Anita says.
She is soon proven wrong. They see a figure clad in black streak across the ceiling, a flash, and suddenly 6 Titans appear. ”I had to say it.” Anita says, drawing blades.

FACILITY
Tobias sighs, then draws his blades, trying to get in position for the 12-meter class
(1+6+3)Tobias jumps to the rafters, right above the Titan's neck.
Ah, the bridge is so large, but was torn apart in seconds by that wonderful explosion. I hope the others manage to capture one alive. I want to know what they used!
But for now, Titan time. Eric fires his gear at the top of the facility, attempting to get to a safe place on the roof as he assess the situation.
(3+2+2) He figures one thing out... (Ask one question)
Alix immediately springs into action, getting into position.
(5+2+1) You get into position behind the 7-Meter class, but something goes wrong. ((Standard possible effects for this move. If you forgot, it's in the OOC thread.))
Alexander goes to bite his hand to fight the titans.
(2+5+2)For an instant, you simply bleed. You almost think something went wrong. And then you feel power. Everyone else sees lighting strike, even though you're indoors. You see the world from much higher, and they see a massive 15-Meter class Titan covered in thick armor plates. Something seems a bit wrong though... (Pick one)
• Your mind goes blank. The Titan's in control for now. Perhaps an ally could help you out of it.
• Your body only partially forms, leaving you with less than the usual number of limbs to work with.
• Your over-the-top transformation draws the attention of every Titan in the area.
Anita tries to move into position over the 10-meter. (?) She's in position, but it noticed her.
BRIDGE
Nikita marks one target if possible, moving to see if he can leap and isolate him.
Preferably one with a sword, although if he can catch a gunner off guard and stab him, that'd be nice.
((I'll take that as a "get into position"))
(3+6-1) Nikita get's into position over... (?)Unknown Assailant 3, one of the swordsmen. But...
-He saw you, and is motioning to a gunner.
-You're not used to the recoil from hooking onto stone or metal. That's real tiring.
-To overzealous on the gas...
Stay moving, on foot or in the air. Don't want those gunners to get a clean shot. Duck, weave, just don't get shot. Make my way towards the enemy.
"Watch out for bullets! I hear they tend to damage your health!"
((Same to you.))
(3+4+1)You hook into the air, going for (?) the leader, but...
-He sees you coming, and is now taking aim.
-Evasive maneuvers are tiring
-Too much evasion, not enough gas conservation.
"They aren't sharp though."
Reinhard moves to engage one of the riflemen.
(6+3+2) You move into position to hit (?) Unknown Assailant 5, the second gunner. He lost track of you in the chaos.

((My fingers hurt...))
Try to spot an opening.
(5+3+2) He examines (?) the leader. Hm... he's distracted by Maria, so someone could probably take him down while he's not looking.
Alice tries to take him down in hand-to-hand, or rather sword-to-sword. ((Strike to kill is Titans. Hand to Hand is for humans.)) (? + ADVANTAGE USED) she manages to take him down, but he managed a slice on her arm (-1 Execution). FACILITY
Tobias silently, and swiftly strikes to kill the 12 meter!
((Now!))
(3+4+1 - Advantage Used!) Tobias kills the Titan, but one of the swarm nearly gets him. He's a bit shaken by that.
MURDERATE THE 7-METER FOR COMBAT MOMENTUM
(6+2+2 - Advantage Used!) The 7-Meter Titan dies, and Alix is ready for another. (Next turn, that is.)
((I have gotten into the habit of control+a then control+c every time I make a post, to avoid having that happen. It is always reaaaly annoying.))
Eric jumps up into the rafters, having understood their tactical value.
I probably don't have long. I could gather my thoughts from here, or launch an attack. The Titans seem to be going after the shifter...Maybe he is trying to hide the fact that they are on his side? I have an opportunity to catch him myself....
Hmm, no. Everyone else is getting into a position to attack. Our last group had an abnormal in it, this one probably does too. I think I have a good shot on the 4 meters, without having to get into position. A straight shot from the rafters.
Strike to kill the 4 meter! ((Disadvantage: -1 execution)

(4+2+2)It looks like it'll only be for a moment, but (?) Unknown Assailant 4 seems to still be shocked to see the leader fall. That could be exploited...
Maria's grin widens. That guy is sooooo lucky I've decided to take him alive. Also, hell that hurts.
Attack the bastard. Go for the arms, preferably the one holding the gun. Try not to murder him, although worst comes to worst we can always try and recover some info from the pile of mimcemeat left over.
((I can't tell if by "the bastard" you mean the one about to kill Reinhard or the one that shot you.))

(4+5+2) Maria uses her maneuver gear to get height and momentum and jump kicks the guy on Reinhard off the bridge. Bit too much force, eh?
If no one helps Reinhard, he'll try to escape death (or avoid harm, escape death seems to be the "oh noes a titan caught me" thing) burning a point of luck if he rolls 1-6.
If somebody takes out UA1, then Reinhard will
"... 'sup."
Run my blade through his back.
on UA5, since he was in position to kill him.
(6+6+1 //CRITICAL!) Unknown Assailant 5 had disregarded you. He was sure his friend would kill you. He was wrong. He hears the steps a moment before the business end of a sword is sticking out of his chest. He is forced to watch as you use your other sword to cut his stomach, and then you use both swords at once.
In the end, he is neatly cut into 4 pieces, blood gushing out of the open wounds.
If possible, Nikita switches targets to UA1 and kills him before he can kill Reinhard.
If not, continue with UA3.
(5+3+1) You're pretty sure you broke his jaw. But... (pick one)
-He ran away, battered and broken.
-You knocked him out, but he got a good hit on your groin before he passed out. OUCH (-1 execution)
FACILITY
rip the titans off me.
(6+3+1-1) You kick the 6-Meter off your leg, into the wall with such force it's head explodes in gore.
Anita stows her blades as she goes to the rafters to Assess the Situation. (?) She watches the 2 remaining Titans. The 9-Meter is no particular threat compared to the others. Should be dead in a minute. The 10-Meter. Something seems off about it to her. The way it moves...

Use the advantage to Hand to Hand UA4.
(4+5+2-1) You swing around the bottom of the bridge, and appear on the other side, using your momentum to swing into the air and then drop kick UA4 into unconsciousness.
Alice runs up to UA3 (?) and kicks him in the balls. He passes out right there.
((Also, it is my belief that Reinhard and everyone else nearby make a roll to avoid being sickened by that horrific and inhumane death he just caused.))
(?)(?)(?-Critical!)(?)(?)(?-CRITFAIL) Everyone but Maria (who is positively gleeful) is justifiably stricken with horror at the brutal death they witnessed. Especially UA2, who decides it's time to GTFO.
An abnormal. I knew it. It might not have seen the rafters yet, I should go there to prepare an assault against him.
Eric launches himself back up the building to somewhere he feels is safe, fixing his glasses as he again assess the situation himself, this time trying to find something he can turn to his advantage against the intelligent Titan. It doesn't even glance in his direction as it grabs his hook and (?) throws him into the wall. The impact winds Reinhard, and his foot is probably broken, but he's alive. (-1 agility, -1 execute.)
If its leg is healed-can it do the same to its weakened arm? I might not be able to kill it, I don't think I can get a clean shot, but I will teach it what pain feels like...
Strike to kill the Intelelegent Titne!
(3+3+1) Eric, seeing no Intelelegent Titnes, instead attacks the Intelligent Titan. He hits it right in the knee, bringing it to the ground. But...
-He landed in front of it. Probably wasn't smart.
-These blades are nearly flat...
-Reinhard falling so easily was unsettling. -1 Execute.

PARTY DISADVANTAGE - INTELLIGENT TITAN
((Oh, right.))
Look for an opening on the 9-meter.
((Spot an Opening is a Tactician move. Alix is a Warrior. Clarify please?))
Tobias gets some new blades.
Tobias uses the spare blades he retroactively has. Locked and loaded.
Alice and Anita both try to get into position on the 9-Meter (?)(? - Luck Used) They both get in position.

Once Sentient Bowtie clarifies, Enemy Turn.
Alix goes for the remaining Tie-tan!
(2+2+2) Alix fails, and is now standing in front of the Titan. Shit.
Eric returns to the rafters, attempting to recover from the shock. The others probably can kill one Titan...
Eric does so. Disadvantage gone.
Player turn. Previous turn advantages and disadvantages still accurate, although Alix now has an advantage.
((They aren't accurate in Reinhard's case. He shouldn't have those -1's he has there. And the intelligent Titan is gone, not wounded.))
Reinhard took a liking to doing stunts. He does some more while getting into position behind the last Titan.
((...I'll fix those, and I forgot the Intelligent Titan.))
(2+4+2) Reinhard does some stunts, but the Titan notices him. (Pick one bonus)
Alice and Anita both try to take it down! (?)(?) Alice joins the growing crowd, Anita hits it and wounds it.
Tobias does some stunts as well. Mainly for the show, but he does it to get in position to kill the Titan.
(5+3+3) Tobias succeeds. Bonuses?
