SETTINGS:
The gravity is 1 Earth-like, air is live-able.
Time is mid-day, the sky is clear.
Do what you like, and remember dream physics will apply.
The 'Bosses' are in the location now called the Great Wound it is a deadspace at the center of the feild, which has bulged to become the size of a small planetiod/proto-planet roughly the equal to half our moon, this all from a small flat plane.

Top row if for surface world, bottom for the underworld.
Center of the two top or bottom is west with connections like a sphere.

In this sereene ladscape subenly an imense roar is heard, the ground trembles, and in the feild opens a huge eerie glowing chasm, black smoke belowing forth.
The camera pans down the chasm.

Deep in the chasm there a pair of red specks. Eyes. There is a eerie noise as the eyes become larger...closer. Before the eyes approach further, the view zips back to the field, and nothing exits the chasm. The camera zooms to the locked shack. It pans up to a foggy window.

The window illuminates briefly then returns to its foggy state. The camera zooms out from the window, and turns to the lake. As the camera approaches, the water wavers a bit, and bubbles can be seen occasionally around the surface. As the camera view zooms out again, a small creature appears over the hill. It is short, bearded, and armed with chain mail and a steel blade.

The camera tuns back towards the lake And in a giant pillar of foam a horrendous carp demon rises from the deep waters!
Its several hundred meres long whit black slimy scales, maw like a Lamprey hundreds of thin strong tentacles the length of its body sticking out of its gills. The eyes shine whit a dark blue calculating hatred. It looks quite Lovecraftian.
It lets out a earsplitting scream (Think Nasgul) and the tentacles begin making their way towards the dwarf.

The dwarf utters some words in his native language, "Keshanfeb" and a bolt of glowing red flames flies into the face of the beast. The carp demon screeches again, and falls into the water, smouldering. The dwarf advances on the locked shack, his blade drawn.

Sorry for double post but this has to continue!
The camera views out of the dwarf's eyes. As the dwarf approaches, the window flashes again. The dwarf bashes down the door with his head, and is illuminated in red light. In the room is a fire demon, and it shoots a fireball at the dwarf. The camera view goes dark. Suddenly an odd noise is made and the dwarf regains consciousness. He checks himself, and he suffered burns on his nose and feet, but he is ok. He looks up to see a familiar pair of red, glowing eyes.

The dwarf rises to his feet. The female dwarf, about 120 by her look, says in dwarven,"I TOLD you not to go around, zappin' monsters and busting doors. Let me take you back home, and momma will fix you up."

The scarred kobold that has been working with the dwarf stays silent.

The kobold looks over at the dwarf babbling about his "mama", then smacks him across the face. He sits back down and becomes lost in thought.

The kobold is wielding a long dagger as well as a dozen or so small throwing blades. The dwarf says something to the kobold, along the lines of,"What happened?" The kobold barks back a few syllables, and they both turn to the chasm. Suddenly, the chasm starts to smoke and thunder, and a gigantic flaming hand reaches out of the crack.

A booming voice like thunder echoes from below:

"Return to your holes, deep in the earth, you have angered I, Rizkah, Lord of Fire!"
The beast, composed of magma and flames, rises out of the crack, standing 50 feet tall.

The kobold responds.
"NOW you show up. We've been trying to contact you for the last... 8 hours or so? That sound right <insert the dwarf's name here>?"

Urist Cheesebottle the Height of Beer (the dwarf) says,"Yeah! And we ran out of beer two days ago!"
The Fire Lord responds,"Oh, I guess I lost track of time...that baking show is so exciting!
The kobold (Cleavepants in the common language) says,"Yeah, I love that show. But back to business!"

OOC: Its a DREAM world! Anything can happen. Silly evil gods with their tempers! Feel free to change it (for instance, make the dwarf totally confused and not know what a 'show' is. Large perfectly square blocks fall from the void above. Each block is the exact same shape and size, however they come in both black granite and white marble. They sort themselves into a checkered pattern as they fall, and appear to become a chessboard next to the chasm. The lack of game pieces beckons eerily. A small balista loaded with a silver bolt lands in the center of the chessboard. A figure robed in black can been seen on the oposite side of the chessboard from the shack.

...Dwarf, striking him in the chest. The bolt bounces harmlessly off his chainmail. He glances over at his kobold companion, who nods, and then both of them charge across the board at the hooded figure.

The figure raises its hands with arms outstreched dramatically. From within his hood two dots of dark cold intelligence glare.

The kobold reaches the figure first, followed shortly by the dwarf. The two begin hacking away at the figure to the rythm of 'The Blue Danube'.

As the dwarf and the kobold are running across the giant checkerboard, a giant stone chess piece, a knight, appears on the square in front of them. He wields a long sword (made of stone, like everything else on him) and rides an angry horse. He raises his blade into the air above the kobold, when...

The figure rubs his shin as he flees, then he trips and lands flat on the his face. A column of serpentine, perfectly cylindrical, rises 15 feet out of the ground. Its location is not exactly... exact. Thats dream logic for yah.

A large hematite boulder falls from the sky and lands surprisingly softly next to the serpentine pillar. The queen is angry! Remove that boulder at once she cries!

Fourty-two logs fall from the void and form a pile. Each log is well suited as fuel or construction material. They are easy to cut yet hard and sturdy. A small yellow gnome in a violet tunic lands on the pile. He holds out his palms and waits.

The queen groans and waves her staff at the gnome, and a pile of silver coins appear in his outstretched hands. He promptly disappears. As the queen begins to give orders to the dwarf and the kobold, the Fire Lord smashes the pillar with his powerful blade of fire. The queen is lost within the rubble.

With the queen defeated and the Fire Lord near, the hemetite boulder begins to rock back and forth. Meanwhile a strange humanoid with feathery white wings does a backstroke across the void. The robed figure looks at the bloody scroll in distaste. The winged figure is grinning histerically while swimming in circles in the void above. The hematite boulder begins to crack! Four silver arches rise out of the ground in random places, each facing a center point. Each arch is decorated differently. The first arch has swirls, circles and dots engraved into it. The second has daggers, axes and spikes engraved into it. The third has a tree with many reaching branches engraved into it. The fourth has a feast of many dishes engraved into it.

Suddenly the arch of tree grabs the kobold in it's branches! The arch of blades and axes begins to shoot off small shining blades at the kobold. The dwarf shouts an incantation, and the tree turns black and dead, then cracks and falls apart, dropping the kobold.

The robed figure looks up from the scroll. He gives the dwarf a dirty look and begins waving his hands around in annoyance before poiting to the scroll again. It seems something was written on the back, it reads...

The robed figure begins to ponder their next move while the winged figure laughs mockingly at the group far below. There is a loud ding and the robed figure raises his finger in the air. "Ive got it!" he shouts. We must enter the Doorway of Prosperity, there we will find what we need to create these Happy Muffins. The robed figure points over to the arch with the feast engraved on it.

The dwarf, the kobold and the robed figure walk towards the arch. They notice that the robed figure is a tall human with a mustache. The winged figure lowers in, but continues to laugh.

The group reaches the Doorway of Prosperity. The robed human walks under the arch but nothing happens. "We need the key!" He says. "We will only be able to find it in the Doorway of Creation." The robed figure points to the arch with the tree engraving.
(OOC: Yes, the arches are called 'Doorways' but they are really just stone arches. Also this is like 'The key to level 4 is in level 3, the key to level 3 is in level 2, the key to level 2 is in level 1, and the key to level 1 is here in this place.' So we're going to take the long way and travel through the arches backwards until we reach the first one. :D )

The group marches through the Doorway of Creation, just to be in the same world, on the other side of the arch. "Oh, we must get the key to the Doorway of Creation, to get the key to the Doorway of Prosperity. The key we need is in the Doorway of Destruction! They head over to the arch that has something to do with destruction.

The group pass under the Doorway of Destruction and it dawns on them. The robed figure raises his finger in the air. "Let us go to the Doorway of Essense, there we shall find the key to unleash terrible power so that new life can grow, and as life grows, so shall we find propserity."

The group impatiently hustles through the Doorway of Essences, and they are surrounded by odd colors and feelings. They experience odd tastes, eerie feelings and they can see all colors. They can't distinguish gravity, but they aren't really floating. To their surprise, they can't see their hands in front of them. They are merely active essences in the pool of thoughts.

The spiritual essense of the robed figure speaks in the minds of his friends, somewhere in this mass is great and terrible power, I shall go search over there. The dwarf thinks back, where? The robed figure replys, there, oh, nevermind... just search for the key!

They all start 'floating' around looking for a key of some kind. They begin to think it is impossible, as there are no 'solid' objects.

Suddently they encounter a burning pain and the robed figure thinks out, this must be it! Now they need only retrieve it from the strange realm, but where has the enrance gone? Suddently the strange winged figure appears in solid form and demands payment from each of the heroes, in return he will lead them out...

The dwarf, kobold and human each look at each other hopefully. They figure out that none of them have anything to pay with. The human offers his robe, and the winged figure just laughs.

The winged figure makes an offer, each of the three would give 1/3 of their soul to it, thus creating a full soul. If they accepted they would be set free, but their minds would be badly damaged. If they refuse there may be another way out, but what is it? The group decides that...

The dwarf chants in an ancient language, and a black beam hits the winged demon's essence. At first the demon disappears, but then there is a chuckle and the group vanishes.

This wonderful forum, I shall add a adknowlegdement* to bay12games in opening and a special thanks in endgame credits.
(Not my first choice believe me...I wanted a !!Extreme!! downscale version of DF included as an easter egg, but desided otherwise because "I dont want to be in useage agreements for the rest of time".)

The camera goes dark while zooming up to the demon's face. A few moments later, the group is viewable again. All three of them are standing on a black surface illuminated by pale gray light. The whole landscape is this black stone-like stuff. Suddenly a circle of flames dances around the group, and the fire starts to close in...when a ______ appears from the sky!

When a blue diamond amulet appears from the sky! It falls hitting the kobold on the head but luckily it remains intact, the amulet that is. The robed figure leaps on the amulet and starts fiddling with it and smashing it up in desperation. Suddently a circle of blue flame bursts up between the group and the original circle of flames. The robed figure stares in disbelief when the dwarf suddently...

Farts! The blue flames are shot into the natural ones and they collide! After a few moments there is no fire period. A light shines from overhead and rectangular blocks start to fall, forming a perfect upward stairway up into the sky.

The group begins to climb the stairs but a large boulder appears at the top and begins rolling down towards them! The robed figure glares at the boulder until it is reduced to rubble. They can hear the winged figure laughing to himself in the distance. The group decides that they...

Should climb faster! They reach the end of the stairway, and get on a platform way up high. They see the demon across from them, and right as it shoots a lightning bolt at them, a _______ appears in front of them and takes the blow!

When a mirror appears in front of them and takes the blow! As the mirror shatters the group feels itself falling to pieces, in the distance they can still hear the winged figure laughing. They wake up beside the Doorway of Essense which seems to have lit up considerably as swirling energies spin around it randomly. The robed figure sits up and grins, "I have the key!" he exclaims! With that he raises his arms and calls upon the violent power of essense. A streak of fire shoots across the small world burning everything to ash. Now the world is barren and dead with no living thing on its surface but the three. Strangely the Doorway of Destruction seems to have lit up and its swirly vortex beckons welcomingly.

The group walks into the Doorway of Destruction, and they all are taken by great pain. They witness innocent people being tortured, monsters killing children, and many terrible things. They are still in physical form, however.

Amidst the violence a tall tree looms, slowly burning, cackling calmly. The earth around the tree is coated with a sickly blight. Before the group can move it begins to rain ash, making it hard to breathe. The sounds of slaughter are drowned out as the group falls to the ground, darkness surrounding them, eating at them...
The group wakes up, tied to the burning tree. Despite the searing pain the flames do not appear to burn them. A host of monsters and demons stands in a circle around the tree, staring with cursed eyes. In the distance they can still hear the winged figure giggling to itself.
(OOC: ps, the arches are mine if you want to put that in the discription. Also if this 'game' of yours is ever shown to the public, I supose we will get the first go, right? ;) )

Suddenly the binds are broken, and before the others move the dwarf stabs one of the monsters. As soon as the blade enters the beast, a hole appears through the dwarf, where it should have on the monster. When the dwarf falls back, the hole disappears, but he continues to scream.

The robed figure calls upon the violent power of essense, hoping to destroy these beasts. The shockwave of fire and energy tears through the world, cracking it, breaking it open. The demons and monsters are unharmed, grinning at this foolish mistake. The robed figure realised too late what he had done and starts to panic when an acorn falls on his head! The blight around the tree begins to swallow the acorn but the robed figure snatches it up before it is gone completely. He stares at it curiously, how could this be? The monsters and demons were not grinning any longer, they were starting to growl with anger. He dawned on him, this was the key to the Doorway of Creation! With that he helped the dwarf up and explained the situation. With this new knowledge the dwarf...

Grabs the acorn and eats it! His skin starts to change color, and he starts to grow! The monsters suddenly flee in terror. The dwarf's skin hardens into fine bronze and he grows dozens of feet into the air! The kobold and the robed human start to hack at the tree with axes that appear in their grasps, and soon the tree falls. They both reach at the same time to grab a silver key. All three of the heroes appear, standing outside of the Door of Creativity. The dwarf chuckles at the Fire Lord, who is angry to be shorter the the bronze colossus. The group heads into the Door of Creativity.
Inside, they are like feelings, similar to inside the Door of Essence, but they each have a unique color, shape and sound. They are all forms of imagination, dreams within the swirl.

The group wanders onwards. Something doesnt seem quite right, but they cannot put their finger on it. They split up and wander in different directions, entranced in a dream like state. Again it seemed something was not quite right. The robed figure now by himself in the strange place, is troubled. Had he missed something? He wasnt certain. But, that too troubled him, why was he not certain? He called out to the other two, but there was no reply. This isnt right he cried out! He started to panic, this wasnt right at all, this wasnt the right place, they shouldnt be here. He tried to think, what had happened? There was an axe he remembered, he wasnt sure how he got it though. In the distance he heard the winged figure laughing, mockingly.
That bastard! This was just an illusion! With that the world fades. The robed figure wakes up on a rocky outcrop, his dwarf and kobold companions beside him. The dwarf was back to normal it seemed and... there was something in his hand. He looked at it, it was a tiny oak tree, how could this be- again the world faded.
This time the group awoke back in the barren waste that used to be the large grassy field. The hematite boulder was still. The chessboard was abandoned. The cabin had burned down, along with all the trees and plants. The charred remains of dead animals lay in the distance. The dwarf and kobold stood in silence, staring at the destruction. It would not be like that for long.
The group journeyed for an hour to reach the muddy puddle that used to be a lake. The robed figure traveled down the slope to where the puddle was deepest, and placed the tiny oak in it. At first nothing happens, but then, the oak starts to grow bigger. It grows until it reaches a massive height. With that it emits a shockwave of positive energy. As the shockwave travels across the wasteland, grass covers the ground. Once the field is covered, trees start to grow, many trees, far more than there were before the great destruction. Soon a forest covers the whole field, the old burned cabin is hidden beneath vines and vegetation. On the chessboard various creatures gather to play mock battles while the hematite boulder breaks open, a crimson drake emerging. Scales as tough as iron the drake does not mean any harm, instead it is a force of protection, to guard over the new life that has sprouted from the rubble of the old world.
Finally The Doorway of Creation lights up and a swirlying portal opens beneath it. The Doorway of Destruction appears to glow and pulse with energy, similar to The Doorway of Essense.
(OOC: ok I admit im dictating this story a bit, but still, there are mistakes I am willing to ignore. Though, maybe I should stop? Then maybe more people will rejoin the thread, but what if it dies in the meantime?)

Suddenly, there is a rustling in the water. The carp-devil has returned! The drake flies into it, piercing thousands of carp with it's talons of pointyfulness, and knocks it back into the water. It shoots a dozen or so carp at the drake, and they latch on firmly! They begin to tear of bits of scale and fall to the ground, flopping mindlessly. The carp devil touches the water with it's writhing hand and the entire lake shakes with carp-they all jump up and splash everywhere. The drake continues to rip off hunks of fish from the carp devil, and the kobold and dwarf run around, spearing carp with their knives and swords. Suddenly the entire surface turns to stone. The creatures, the water, the plants, everything, is turned to stone, and frozen in place. Tiny spheres of floating grey rock take the place of water droplets, and all the heroes are frozen as statues. A beam of light shines down in the center of the lake, which changes back to a liquid. The lake begins to bubble, and the carp devil unfreezes and falls in. The carp devil explodes into the dark liquid and the carp fly everywhere into the stuff, until all is still with the black lake.
A white blade rises from the water, and a piercing cry echoes through the rock. The winged demon grabs the white blade, and everything unfreezes. The winged demon flies at the dwarf, and with a gasp runs him through with the blade. The dwarf stands there, staring as if he didn't believe what had happened. Then, while everything sat in disbelief, the dwarf shouts and a shock wave erupts from the earth. EVERYTHING is sucked into a hole in the earth, trees, grass, people, the chessboard, the clouds, and eventually light itself. All is dark.

The robed figure still in shock fumbles in his pockets and takes out a box of matches. With shaking hands he strikes one and light explodes into the pitch blackness. It was so dark that a single match glared like the sun, yet still not much was visible. He looked down but couldnt make out what he was standing on. He brought the match close to the surface to discover it was some kind of glass. There didnt seem to be anything beneath it, but still it creeped him out beyond belief.
After a while of silence he moves. The match illuminating nothing, giving only enough light to see a few feet away from him. He wanders through the darkness, hoping to find something, anything. It didnt matter if it wanted to kill him, anything was better than the darkness, the silence, the emptiness...

Eventually he comes to a glass wall. He can't see much out of it, but he thinks he makes out a chair and a bed, both hundreds of times the size of himself. He takes off his robe, and lights it. It illuminates a lot more, and the face of the dwarf comes up to the fire. He has a hole in him, but somehow he isn't dead. And he's very pale and cold. Freezing. The kobold comes shortly after, and they all chat in wonder. The dwarf goes off to search, and when he returns he says they are all in a huge box or glass, or something. Suddenly a flash of light blinds them all. The light is from outside of the tank. A huge human child is seen from the other side of the glass, bearing a ginormous pitcher...of water. The nozzle is placed over the lid, and with a sploosh an ocean is poured into the tank. All the creatures inside float to the top of the water, and some trees and sticks from the land before. The dwarf is not so good at swimming with a half ton of iron on, and the human and kobold struggle to keep him up. Suddenly more water pours in, along with the terror of dwarfkind, the demons of the water, CARP! AND BIG ONES TO! LIKE BIG AS A CAKE! AND THEY ARE HUNGRY!

The robed figure calls upon the violent power of essense, but the spell fizzles as he sinks under the surface of the water. The universe has gone upside-down! Suddently he feels himself falling. He grabs onto the kobold to stop himself, but the kobold, still holding onto the dwarf cannot keep them both afloat and the three sink into the dark wetness. The three find themselves suspended in some kind of endless body of water, that streches in all directions. It seems they dont need to breathe in this strange ocean either. The robed figure is questioned and replys, "We are behind the water." Could it be any more cryptic?
The kobold and dwarf stare at eachother while the robed human swims around in circles. "You know, im not quite sure how to get us out. No matter, at least its better than the carp."

It appears we have hit a plot wall. Dark has taken it a way which none of us understand.

The winged figure appears in the ocean with the others and screams in their faces, "YOUR PLOT HAS FAILED POORLY ROBED ONE, NOW YOU MUST SUFFER!" With that the winged demon and the robed figure vanish from sight. Soon a swirling vortex appears and the two remaining heroes are dragged into it. Darkness consumes them and they awake face-down in some kind of grassy field. Upon closer inspection the field appears to be a floating rock with a single tree on it. "Arughfu£$%!" moans the dwarf, "'Owe tha hell are we te get dun from ere now?" The kobold suggests that...
(The robed one shall return! You havent seen the last of him!)
(PS: this is the classic 'land of large floating rocks with grass and trees on them' kind of world. Shouldnt be too hard to figure out... right? Aw damnit I fail so badly, hopefully someone can recover this thread. Though im thinking pure randomness = bad. Maybe the current plot aught to be how to get back to the normal world that the thread started at.)

(OOC: I supose all good things come to an end. The robed figure is being punished even now for his poor judgement skills.)
As the tree is cut down a light being to shine. It grows brighter and brighter, consuming the rock, the dwarf, the kobold. It spreads out, consuming the world, consuming the universe. The light. It burns.
The two awake lying in the grass under a tree, again. They ache all over and their heads are pounding with pain. They can hear the peaceful tune of a lute comming from just outside their vision. They strain themselves to move and turning their heads they look...
The robed figure, sitting on a tree stump playing a tune. His robes are torn and he is badly scarred. On his waist is a belt and a scabard, a sword sheathed. From inside his hood there is a sad gleam. "So you've awoken then." And so he continues to play his peaceful music.
What now?

I still have nothing to add to this. I have an idea for a plot but it would require totally ditching everything we have now. I suppose I'll wait and see what happens.

So the kobold and dwarf question the man (he burned his robe) about what he means. As the man starts to explain something about gnomes, a little man in green overalls and a green pointy hat appears from behind the tree. He has a bottle that is nearly bigger than him. He hiccups and says,"You made *hic* him angry, so he taught *hic* you about lessons!" With a twirl it falls over, in a stupor.

(OOC: its a magical robe that he always wears, even when he takes it off he's got another one underneath, another one underneath that, and another under that, etc etc etc... Though the damage done to it now cannot be removed.)
The robed man growls. "Silence fool, I was given a hundred lashes in hell. Perhaps I learned the lessons thaught. Though I may be cursed, I shant make the same mistake twice." Sighing he continues, "Dwarf, you must be thirsty from your trip, take the fools bottle. As for you kobold, if there is anything you require I will do my best to aid you. I take it alcohol is not best suited for numbing Your pain."

The dwarf happily chugs down the bottle. As the group just relaxes a bit, they all notice something strange. Something odd. They look around, and they see a black figure in the sky, approaching them. It didn't appear to have wings, it was just sort of floating. As it gets closer, it appears to be black, shadowy orb. It is traveling them extremely fast, faster than any dragon could soar. As soon as it arrived directly above the group, it stopped. A small, glinting object falls from it, and the orb shoots onward, away from them until it disappears into the mist. The dwarf picks up the object, a ring, and slides it onto his stubby finger. He immediately falls onto the ground, and he goes pale and cold. The robed man rushes down to look over him, but the dwarf gets up by himself. His eyes are dark and clouded. The man tries to take the ring off of the dwarf, but as soon as he touches it the dwarf shouts and the man is blasted across the field, and violently lands on a patch of dirt. The kobold starts toward the dwarf, who again sends off a blast of energy. The dwarf laughs, in an terribly extremely familiar voice, "Ha! Your foolish friend is mine now, his soul is mine. Now, now, what to do with you two mortals..."

The confusion is wide spread to all but 'them'.
'They' are named in story and tale as the 'Unworthy', a coven of travelers and destroyers, their very presence destroys the world around 'them'.
The first is 'PEST', he is an insectiod monstrosity of metal, shell, flesh, and bone. The ground he walks upon shrivels and dies.
The second is 'DEATH', he is a frightening skellital aberition of of bone and black fabric. His touch is death itself and kills all life.
The third is 'WAR', he is a headious figure of scars, blood, weapons and hate.
He is the embodiment of war and fills the hearts of all with hate.
The fourth is 'FAM", he is the image of hunger, starvation, and unnurishment.
When he is near food withers, water goes dry, and life weakens.
The world is sundered, all feel their presence...the end is close...

Enforcing thread control. things happen normal but not eminent doom has come to town and if not delt with shall destroy the physics and cause unstability.
In lamens I just added bosses to the mix, fight them as you will.

The robed man picks himself up and begins running towards where the kobold landed and helps him up. "We must make haste, the destroyers have come and we cannot defeat them without our dwarven ally!" With that he draws his sword, a long silver blade engraved with four runes, three of which glow and pulse with energy. "If we are not quick all shall end!" The two then began running towards the light wood that the dwarf was within. Meanwhile they would need to come up with a plan...

More decriptive will replace for first post.
The 'Bosses' are in the location now called the Great Wound it is a deadspace at the center of the feild, which has bulged to become the size of a small planetiod/proto-planet roughly the equal to half our moon, this all from a small flat plane.

(OOC: Tis a very strange map indeed... if you could give a better explaination I would be grateful, for now il just continue with my last post.)
The kobold stared with blank eyes as they ran. "Surely you have some idea of what we should do." said the robed man. The kobold simply shook his head. They had reached the edge of the forest now. They were running so fast they didnt see the dwarf comming. "BEGONE FOOLS!" shouted the dwarf. "You cannot stop me so why do you try?!"
The dwarf was so busy ranting he did not notice the lute flying through the air. It struck him on the nose knocking him over. The robed man leapt at the fallen dwarf and grabbed his ring finger. "NO!" the dwarf screamed, so loud it shook the world. The dwarf yelled out in anger and the robed figure was flung away again. The silver sword lands softly on the ground infront of the kobold.
The blade beating with a strange and attractive power lures the gaze of the kobold deeper and deeper as time seems to slow. The dwarf was frozen in a fit of anger, rushing towards the kobold. As the kobold stared...

...the sword lit with a white beam so bright the kobold was forced to turn away. The sword lifted up through the air, as if it was being held by some invisible creature. From the hilt of the sword a white creature was created. The beam created an arm, then the body, then the rest of the humanoid. In a moment there was a white robed elf, glowing solemn, wielding the sword. The dwarf shouted and a burst of black energy flew toward the elf. It simply blew right through the robe, and the elf slowly advanced on the dwarf. The dwarf's anger melted away to reveal horror as the shadow of the elf engulfed him. The blade rose and fell, striking the dwarf on the forehead. The dwarf's head ripped open, revealing the terrible winged demon. The demon was flaming, and larger than before. The elf of light began to fight with the demon. The mangled dwarf rose, and become whole again. As the elf and demon dueled, huge shadows advanced around them in a circle. The great creatures of death were coming, and fast.

The "Bosses" have set up a small table with chairs and drinks for a small game of cards, dice, and such...Oh no...its...minigames
Oh it cannot be...their building a place for these minigames...Its called...'The End Of The World' Tavern... the horror! (Tavern is centered in the Great Wound) Now with free spirts on weekends!

Minigames? I am really clueless about what the game you're making is about, but if they're playing card-related minigames, Hearts or Poker would be interesting, but with the cards (king, jack, queen etc) to have related characters instead of basic royalties.
