Curses / Specialized Founder Stats
« on: October 28, 2015, 01:06:15 pm »
Hello everyone, this is a thread for those of you who like to personalize and get the most of your founders, so, here Ill post answers to the starting questions that'll maximize certain aspects of your founder. Any question that has it's answer marked with the answer like this (a) means that it doesn't do anything to max the desired stat, thats just my personnel recommendation.

Max Charisma
E, E, E, (d), B, (c), E, C/D, (d), E

This build starts you with 14 Charisma, 5 Persuasion, 2 Psychology, 3 (possible) Seduction, 2 (possible Business), and 50 Juice, alone with other stats and attributes that aren't important to being a charismatic founder.

Max Agility (To put the Terminator Founder to shame)
A, A, A/B, (b), D, (b), B, A, (a), A/B

This starts at 15 Agility, and various skills in Martial Arts and weapons skills depending on the variables you took. You'll also start with 4 Gang Members, that most consider more of a hindrance than help, given they all have a change to start with a rep sheet, negative juice, and terrible, randomized stats and skills.

Max Intelligence
C,  C, C, (e), A, (e), A, E, (d), C

!4 Intelligence, Writing, and if you follow my recommendations, a sleeper that can give you passive training to your seduction so you can "entice" Conservatives to giving you info for the Liberal Guardian. It'd be slow as hell, be these starting stats can give you a good start if you want a peaceful run of LCS.

And those are the questions to help you max out your starting stats, at least the three I think are actually useful for starting the game.

Stay classy, and stay Liberal my friends.

Elven politics may seem strange to outsiders, but its a system that works for the elves, most of the time. For great houses stand among others, picked through intrigue, money, and death. Three ways to become a great house. You can spy, bribe, and "take care of" those others, and eventually they may submit, and give you their place. That, or you can campaign, spill your hard earned Leaves into making your house head look good in the public eye, the people may vote to have one of the great houses replaced for you. Lastly, you can declare war on a great house, cast civil blood for your own chance of power, win against a great house, and you are a great house. Three ways to become part of the highest place in Elven society, which perfect describes the Elven peoples. Crafty, hardworking, yet brutal.

Avrak is the seat of power in the Elven Empire, where the great houses live, as does the Septose, leader and ruler of their people. The new Septose, Tregas Telvear, came to power the simple way, make money in the simple ways, spread propaganda, hire people to make him look good, and donate money to the study of science and magic. The people knew his views, the views he had towards the humans, the beastkin and the macgi, but they never, ever, saw coming what he wanted to do. He passed in laws, fighting for the rights of other races in his lands. For the first time in over three centuries the other races were allowed in the Empire. To become citizens, comes and go freely, and even have their hands in their politics. The people are less than happy about this transgression, and a new Septose may be at hand.

World War II saw genocide in Europe, with the death of millions of innocent people, but that would be shy to amount of death that would have been brought by the nuclear arms built and armed during the Cold War following. Proxy wars fought around the globe, faulty computer ships and human error almost caused the destruction of all life as we know it more times than most people know. You've heard of the NORAD training program mishap, the  war against Soviet forces in Afghanistan funded by America and the UK, and the US stealth bomber drifting into Soviet territory during the last day of the Cuban Missile Crisis, but theres one incident that brought the world closer to nuclear scorn more than any others, and it's been hidden forever, the only people knowing what happened being the people there... Like you.

December 10th, 1950, the early years of the cold war. A bunker in the South side of the Soviet Union is tasked with intercepting, decrypting and reporting messages, as well as observe military movement. They are also tasked to be some kind of warning system for nuclear war, since they could see nuclear missiles before radars picked them up on the way to America, or whatever was targeted. Of course America would have it's best interests in keeping this thing secret from their enemies, and hold it's safety very dear, so when the bunker failed to report for more than two days, they decided to put boots on the ground and investigate what had happened. A small squad of four people were sent in, two trained soldiers, an engineer and one breaching expert. Men and women trained by the US Army at the height of it's paranoia, where they were beaten, broken and rebuilt just to serve, but still what they found there would still be enough to make their hearts sink into their stomachs.

Truly this is the golden age of humanity. The average age of people has tripled since the years of the 21st century, cures for AIDs come in pill form, treatment to completely eradicate cancer cells are sold over the counter, and entire limbs can be printed directly onto an amputee's nub. But those are only minor advancements compared to the ones that can arise from your hands. Years in collage has given you a golden opportunity, exploring the genes of animals large and small. Unlocking the secrets off the small spindles of genetic code we call DNA, in new and amazing ways. After graduating with top marks, your university offered you a job and a fund. The job, make them the leaders is genomic processing research. The funding, well, to say the very least its vast. 1,000,000 dollars. Lets hope you can make them proud. You'll be given the basics you need, a lab, and a few unnamed techs to do some work for you, unpaid of course. But first, they need a name to put on that name tag they'll give, as well as to shove into the history books!

Forum Games and Roleplaying / Beyond the Stars.
« on: September 11, 2014, 05:12:20 pm »
Man had always sought to see beyond the stars, when caveman first set fire to sticks they began the journey to the endless boundaries of burning stars and fertile worlds. Germany took the first large step, sending the V2 Rocket into the stars, the first real leap into the infinite plains. America conquered the moon, but that was just a mere taste of what to come. Skip ahead over a thousand years, and you will find that the world has finally got what it so desired. They had found the secrets they need to travel to the starts, and stay there. However it was expensive, more than any one country could handle on their own, so the UN took it into their hands to build the ships, send them out and collect supplies to fund even further exploration. That prompted a pseudo world peace, pretty much every country in the world flocked to the UN to get a cut of the pie. With so many people taking and not being able to give back, the supplies and resources they were bring back wasn’t enough. Eventually the bigger, greedier countries started to succeed, and go their own way trying to get into the space game. With just some of the poorer countries that couldn’t afford to succeed left, the UN could no longer afford to keep sending shuttles and stations into space, but that didn’t stop them. They kept sending people into space until they destroyed themselves, bankrupting the UN and shutting it down. With no UN and greed going haywire the world almost instantly erupted into WWIII. The entire world changed it face on that war. Entire countries shifted, whole continents fell, islands sank into the ocean, and even the most trusted of allies became bitter enemies. While the wars still rage on, looting, plundering and stealing land allowed them to develop better technology, making space exploration cheaper, and more accessible. Some people can even get their hands on old, yet extremely expensive and ineffective, ships. Now a few strong factions like the old UN and America have risen up, but can’t afford to directly send anything to space themselves, so they have to pay people to do it for them. Space is the final frontier, and we’ve finally reached it, now you have to face it.

This thread is about everyone's favourite things in video games, the things you use to kill innocent people, children and puppies the enemies you must righteously slay. My current favourite is the GRA version of the Assault Rifle from Fallout: New Vegas.

Fallout games have a good, deep lore, the only game that can beat it is Elder Scrolls. But a whole lot of gaps are missing, and thats where fans come in, and fill them with there own ideas. This is what this thread is about, peoples personal ideas, filling gaps that the game's lore leaves.

My biggest thing is that never is it mentioned what happened to the rest of the world. In Mothership Zeta, when you get to the part where

you can look down and see most of Asia is covered in nuclear fallout, concealing it. I like to believe Asia is still alive, just crippled and without government like America. But since they didn't have vaults like in America, there'd be a lot more death, and almost everyone that survived would have been ghoulified. Now the choking nuclear fog, radioactive farmlands aren't just not a problem anymore, but actually helpful. I also think they'd keep their sense of culture, setting up shops in tight venues, serving up squid, testicles, stomachs and such, and whatever governments there are outfit elite soldiers with patchwork samurai armour and swords.

You hail from the happy lands of Engleland, a place where ships roam the sky, and where men can have their arms replaced with steam powered gadgets. Its almost perfect, save for the plague and political discord. The Queen has called for expansion into other lands to grow her country, to create an empire where the sun never set. You are sent to be the leader of her new colony, which is in a newly discovered continent, the Ameracas. You get to have a pick of who comes with with you, what supplies to bring, and who can give advice when you get there. Choose wisely these decisions. The Queen has also allowed you to choose what you would like to name this new place, so you should do so now.

General Discussion / Alternative Power Sources.
« on: August 14, 2014, 09:15:15 pm »
Since my last discussion seems to have caught fire, with such grace I might add, I thought Id bring something up thats almost always on my mind, but usually seemed a bit controversial to bring up. The use of alternative, cleaner power sources. My main problem is not only that oil and other fossil fuels not only produce harmful green house gasses, but they are also running scarce, last I checked its been estimated the worlds oil supply will dry up in 52 years, and as far as I know its not a huge research directive to find ways replacing the oil we're so dependent upon. My favourite alternative power source is solar, and I even have an image for later. Solar and wind are clean, renewable power sources, that people often undermine it because it "ineffective." That is just propaganda, and Ill show you why.
It would seem for whatever reason the image doesn't want to work, so heres a link.
The smallest one is all the land it would require the power Germany alone, the next biggest is all of Europe, and the biggest is the measly amount it would take to power the entire world. Wind power is also an option, but I don't have any compelling facts or images about it.
So, thoughts, comments, compelling arguments?

No one expected the zombie apocalypse, but when the dead started to rise, they did what they best could to make last minute preparations, gathering friends, breaking into stores, siphoning fuel, and anything else they could think of to survive. You were all alone at first, but on your way out of your apartment, you find the front doors locked, and you're stuck in with 10 other people. They all agree they like to make a group, and you think you could make a good leader, but first you should tell them all your name.

General Discussion / The Concept of Money
« on: August 12, 2014, 04:36:34 am »
I was just wondering something, and I thought it might be fun to bounce it off other people, so I came here. What I was thinking was, "Why does money exist?" Now I know the fairly obvious answer is "So you can buy things." But if there was no money, there would be no reason to sell anything, and if there were no money, and therefore no selling, wouldn't that also solve the employment problems all over the world? With no need for money, there would also be no reason for anyone to pay workers, so we could just start handing out jobs like candy. I assume if there were no money, there would also be no ownership, so there would probably be a big storage that anyone would take some, so having seemingly endless jobs would probably mean we would have more things to distribute to. So, why do we have money? Any opposing ideas, or just something I have plan wrong that Im not seeing?

Your whole life you've lived in a castle. Swelled in it's luxury, plump with the best food money could buy, and cradled in the finest clothes seamstresses can sew. You father is king of Alberting, and you are his second son. Your father is ill, and it seems thing will soon take a turn for the worse. Even though you lived your life as perfect as anyone could, you're still unhappy that just because your brother was born minutes before you he gets to be king. But the only thing you can do now is wait and hope on of your heirs can earn the crown, or get your own somehow.

You decide to visit your father is his bed, since hes too ill now to get out. One you open the door to his bed chamber he looks at you.

W-Who... Are you? He asks breathlessly. His memory has also been fading in his old age. Poor man can't even remember his own son's name.

The cold war is putting a huge strain on America, and even the slightest mishap will plunge the world into nuclear fire. Several times strain was put on America as computer errors and human negligence nearly brought both sides to act prematurely, but nothing ever brought either sides so close as this. An American operation hidden from public eyes, called "Operation Cocked Pistol," the codename for Defcon 1. It started when an American spy post inside the Soviet Union went dark, and a spy named Jason Fisher and a squad of four others were dispatched to investigate.

The plane was cramped, it really wasn't meant for more than two people, let alone one pilot and five others cramped into storage with communications equipment. You loved serving your country, but you hated this part of the job, being cramped ass-to-ass to people you didn't even know the name of for over half a day. The trip is barely halfway over, what should you do to pass the time?

Your world is a mostly peaceful place, nuzzled in the mountains of the world. The empire is in the frozen plains at the tip of the world. You have no worries aside from wild animals and creatures of the dark, and even then the crown makes sure it's citizens are protected. The capital sits in the middle of the empire, and the castle sits atop the tallest mountain of the world, overlooking the capital. You live in Ampir. The empire is extensive, but lately the number of people has grown to large, and the crown wants more land to extend into. Thats where you come in. The crown is paying settlements on the land surrounding them, so they can have the land to feed and house the people. You've been kept warm by the soldiers defending the cities, but the outside world is much colder than you could have ever expected.
