Bio: Born in Dia in the year 365, her parents died in the war against the Reich's occupation. Growing up she noticed the corruption of the local officials, and took up training her body early on, seeking to be a mercenary for the freedom it would offer. She joined up with a local band and left Dia a few years before it was destroyed. Upon hearing of this, she took off on her own, seeking her own way, and had her resolve strengthened while looking into the Reich's history, and the issues with the occupation.
She saw the supposed knights dealing with insurrection harshly, and began leading a support network. She recently learned of a letter to the Senate concerning recent events, and has decided to see about joining up with the incoming investigative party through any means necessary, either as a guide or hired guard, hoping to gain info from within the Reich for her own purposes.

Likely to end up in Chapter 2, or 1 maybe. Shaelynn Peritz hiring her perhaps.

Bio: Shaelynn is the second child of the Governor General Claus Peritz, a son of the Reich, and Aleena Peritz, formerly Barlow, of the Overseasland. Their marriage was a political one, intended to strengthen Claus's authority in the foreign land, though the two do have a good relationship. Their first child was a boy, who was named Kristofor, and is set to inherit Claus's title and lands. Kristofor is a model son, intelligent, strong, and conscientious. Shaelynn was born six years later, and is none of these things, at least in her own opinion. Among her peers, Shaelynn is a pariah. Described as haughty by the lower classes, Shaelynn also has a not undeserved opinion for having a temper that is both explosive and vicious. Though she has been working hard to better herself in this aspect in particular, she still struggles with it, as well as her feelings of isolation and inferiority. There is little for her to do beyond her studies around her family's home, and so Shaelynn has hoped to contribute and show her value in other ways.

Shaelynn has had several marriages arranged for her, though they have all been canceled for one reason or another- though her most recent was due to her betrothed running away from home to join the Reich military. It is a very, very sore spot for her.

Bio: A lesser heir of a minor noble house in the Reich. Not being particularly high up in the family and not showing any real talents for administration or political scheming, his only real use to the heads of the family was to be married off to some noblewoman as a political foothold. Seeking to extend their power into the relative vacuum in Overseasland, his selected bride-to-be was a scion of one of the houses that had already established themselves there. In theory, it was the perfect match; Lord Jubastacheit would lose little in the way of political acumen, and Lord Peritz would finally find a husband to settle his daughter down with. Siegfried, however, was not fond of the idea. A marriage to a strange woman, so he could be a proxy for his father? It wasn't long after catching wind of this that he formally joined the Reich military, hoping for an assignment that would bring him far away and riding on what reputation he had as a loyal, dependable fighter to quickly get it.

   Jann is a young man standing at an average height, with a light but muscular build and his skin dotted in claw-shaped scars. His hair is a moderate blue, disheveled and usually barely kept in place by a couple headbands of cloth.
   22 years ago, as the Reich's forces churned at the border of Garaz and the now-christened 'Overseasland', a noble seated in the city of Vise tensed with every arrival of news. Quietly, he watched his peers, waiting for the slightest sign of weakness, all the while preparing for the inevitable. As the Reich's troops moved to occupy Vise, reports of a blue haired woman and her months-old son heading east arose briefly before being drowned in the din of conflict.
   Jann lived a quiet life in a small hamlet south of Agraz. Too brash and brusque to accept the company of others, he frequently made forays out into the recently-reclaimed Wilds, learning the land and soon learning to hunt and provide for his frequently-ill mother and the village they shared. His encounters with the Reich and their government in Agraz had been terse. Both the hunters of the region and he himself have been leery of their motives, and they frequently they collaborated in negotiation to ensure fair treatment of their villages. He was, however, grateful and cooperative with their ongoing efforts to purify what corrupted swamps remained in the Blackmuds far to the south. Frequently he acted as a guide and escort to Geomancy teams dispatched there in exchange for a modest amount of coin.
   Jann's quiet life looked like it was going to remain as such for a time, until a particular request came in from the military branch of the regional Reich jurisdiction. Their plans, as it stood, were on track to finish cleansing the Blackmuds, barring one exception. Within the Blackmuds remained one particularly powerful member of the last monsters still preying on those who dared stray near, the scattered efforts of the Reich's Geomancers and local hunters being insufficient to eliminate it. In an effort to finish reclaiming the area, the Reich assembled a unit of the finest hunters in the region to lure out the beast into a trap where Reich soldiers would end its miserable life. Jann took on the request with vigor, leading a small group of four hunters paired with another team. When the day came and he planned with the Reich, he used the forest to his advantage, drawing the monster to decoy after decoy, until the final trap where Reich Geomancers and Soldiers awaited... only when he arrived, no soldiers had come to their aid. Within seconds, every hunter who the monster laid eyes on were torn to shreds, and Jann himself only barely able to flee, buried in scars and his bow-aiming hand mangled.
   Jann never returned to his village. Ultimately, his distaste for the Reich grew into a barely-restrained malice, and he quickly dispersed away into hiding, only appearing in villages around various cities briefly to sell excess meat trapped from the lands nearby.

Bio:
Niels is a youthful Drachenreiter of the Reichsland wyvern force. Slightly taller than average, with a thin build and pale white hair, the young man is distinctive with his face tattooed with a old symbol for good fortune - a tradition in the area of his birth.

Born in the mountains near Perde, he was handling wyverns as soon as he was old enough they wouldn't consider him an easy snack. His family were breeders of the beasts, with Niels' brother, Hans, a lieutenant in the Drachenreiters. When he was young, his family moved closer to the capital to better access the market for their wyverns. It was in this time he came into the acquaintance of a girl named Brunhilde Saden. They became friends, of a sort, and trained together in the use of lances - both had aspirations of military service. That seemed to come to an end, however, when a momentary lapse caused him to injure her arm - and for some reason, it did not seem to heal properly, no matter what magic was used.

Escaping from his guilt, he applied to the military as soon as he was grown enough to appear of age, passing the tests to become part of the fearsome Drachenreiter aerial regiment of the Reich - and on his own merit, rather than using his family connections. Eager to prove himself, Niels soon established himself as a competent and reliable wingman. His brother, knowing Astleich personally, pulled a couple of strings to hitch Niels' career to Astleich's rising star.

Bio:
Born in Gevian, the capital of the Reich, as the second daughter of noble parents, Brinhilde was raised to join the military to help bring honor to their family. She originally trained to be a lancer, wanting to be a true soldier, ready to fight but a curiosity to the arcane arts, led to her studying dark magic on the side.

She was reading an ancient necromancy book one day, and stumbled upon a spell for enhancing healing from spells, and quickly dove in. It seemed to work, as her dark magic was enhanced, but she stumbled upon an unfortunate side effect one day in training. During a spar with a Drachenreiter in training named Niles, she was badly injured in her spear arm, and when the healers on site attempted to heal the damage done, they couldn't fix it completely, leaving her unable to use her lance anymore.

Her plans in shambles, she threw herself into dark magic, trying to find some way to restore her arm, but nothing she came across was able to do the job. She started to train to use her other arm more, but without the support from her other arm, she couldn't keep up. As her studies continued to fail her, she volunteered to go to Overseasland as the magic support for Captain Astleich's group, hoping that maybe the Oversealands have some magic that might help restore her arm.

Bio: While the exact origin of the Ellison family cannot be placed near a specific historical event, they were still an old and prominent family of the Troian Empire, having clawed their way to the top through backroom deals and bribes. Due to careful planning, accepting bribes from the Reich, and finally performing a well-executed betrayal towards the end of the Empire, the Ellison's managed to maintain most of their wealth and prominence after the dissolution of the Troian Empire. However, this has all but destroyed their standing with their people. Of course, this is of little concern for the Ellisons and their ambitions. There is one little problem though, their only heir: Malcom Ellison.
 
Unlike his kinsmen, Malcom does not engage in skullduggery behavior whenever it would suit him. Born after his family's betrayal of the Troian Empire, he was raised to be an upstanding and honest noble. In other words, a pawn of his family. However, he at least views himself as a true noble and firmly believes that he has a responsibility to protect and nurture the common man. He frequently leaves the family estate and visits villages that his family has authority over, often against his family's wishes, to heal the wounded or repel raiders. Because of this, he is well liked by the common man; however, unable to escape his family name, some question whether his care for the peasantry is but another of his family's schemes and treat him with suspicion. Unbeknownst to him, his natural born charisma and standing with the peasantry has sparked the jealousy of his family and they have accordingly planned to have him removed.

Bio:
The Abasolo family of the foothills surrounding Troi are known for two things. Firstly, the legendary mercenaries supplied by the Abasolo family have served with distinction throughout the wars of Overseasland; the legendary Abasolo patriarch Itziar Abasolo served in the army of Troy Lionheart, and many other Abasolos since served as soldiers in the armies of royalty everywhere, though they were conspiciously absent during the Imperial Civil War which installed the beloved Empress Grifen onto the throne, owing to the Abasolo head of the period suffering from a long illness during the time. As a result, the Abasolos gained some land and wealth, with which they established a small estate and a small, professional army to march alongside the Abasolo heads in battle. The Abasolos have, in times of peace, been hired as masters-of-arms and weapons instructors for various noble houses. The second thing the Abasolos are known for is the reason for their fame in battle, a familial "berserker rage" passed down from generation to generation; Itziar was said to have charged through dozens of enemies, arrows sticking out of their body, skin red with rage and eyes wide with anger. The Wolf Rage of the Abasolos has rendered them dangerous combatants, and various suits of signature armor were gifted to the family by their patrons, forged in the shape of wolves. The latest suit of armor was a gift from a family to whom the previous Abasolo head, Basojaun Abasolo, was a retainer, an ornate, but functional, suit of armor with a helmet in the shape of a wolf's head. For this, the heirs to the Abasolo line were called 'Otso', or Wolf, in the local dialect.

Basojaun Abasolo was, in his youth, an excellent fighter, and his axe was put to the test throughout the conflict-ridden century; the War of Three Queens, the Belmonte Revolt and the Reich Invasion. The Abasolo clan was put to the test in battle after battle, Basojaun at the head. The Reich Invasion was particularly problematic for the Abasolo family; as the Abasolo family had branched out over the generations, raging battles between the Abasolo clan, allied branches and opposing branches were fighting on both sides of the Invasion. Eventually, the main clan was forced to retreat from the war, with much of its wealth and prestige taken apart in the Invasion. Though the estate itself remained intact, it was much diminished, and Basojaun had taken many wounds and was nowhere near the great fighter he once was. Retiring from the mercenary life, he decided instead to cultivate the estate, to return the family from the brink of death and restore it to its somewhat former glory. Such a prospect was difficult; the world was reeling from the rule of the Reich over what was now Overseasland, and Basojaun's talents were no longer in high demand as they had once been. Basojaun was forced to retreat to farming to keep the estate afloat, something at which he was moderately successful.

Into this, Usoa Abasolo was born. A sensitive young woman, Usoa was better suited to running the farm than being in the heat of battle. She was raised as a tender-hearted girl, who was always pleasant to others around her, and preferred poetry to martial pursuits, despite not being incapable with a blade, and growing with a fine physique, a product of helping the Abasolo estate with farming. Though Basojaun was always confused as to what to do with his daughter, he loved her nonetheless, and encouraged her on, though she never showed any signs of having the Wolf Rage of the Abasolo family line. Even when she was subjected to the jeering and bullying of boys who found her weird and introverted for preferring the company of books and poetry to the field and the world outside, she chose to do nothing, enduring their bullying silently and only fighting them off when they tried to hurt her. Usoa, as her childhood went on and she grew into a fine young woman, found herself torn between the two sides of herself; on one hand, she liked to write, and wrote well, with Basojaun, though confused and not quite understanding the field his daughter had chosen, completely supportive of her pursuits, encouraging his daughter to become an excellent writer. On the other hand, she grew up fully aware that the Abasolos were warriors, from all of her father's stories told to her as a child, and she felt that her father was best served by her being a warrior as he had been, becoming the next Otso and donning the helm of the wolf.

Eventually, everything came to a head. A member of one of the Abasolo branch families visited one day, a distant relative of Usoa she'd never seen nor met before that day. He had been one of the Abasolo branches who had served on the side of the Reich during the war. Basojaun and the man had a civil, but tense, relationship, with both sides seeing their sides as business. The man had decided to visit Basojaun on the Abasolo estate, to check up on him and also to meet the man's heiress, who he'd heard barely anything about. When Usoa appeared to the man, however, the man was immensely disappointed; Usoa was no warrior, like the proud Abasolo line. Dressing her down over her decisions, the man called her a disappointment to the Abasolo name, unworthy to bear the title of heir and so forth. Basojaun had overheard the discussion, and had gone over to evict his relative off of the estate after a heated discussion, but the damage had been done to Usoa, who felt as if her father, for all that he was proud of her, would have much rather have had a warrior as a child than a writer.

That night, Usoa felt she had but one choice. She donned the armor of the wolf, and set out into the world, to seek her fortune, just as Itziar Abasolo had. She packed her bags, took what supplies she could and stole away in the dead of night to avoid alerting her father. Two years have passed since that point, and Usoa has found herself no closer to an answer or feeling as if she was someone who could do her father proud, living a life as a bodyguard from principal to principal who never once knew that an Abasolo was protecting them, known for her skill with a blade and a wolf-like helm, still torn between the poetry of peace she loved and the lineage of warriors she feels compelled to continue.

Vincent was born in the city of Dia several years before its occupation by the Reich. Because of this, he was too young to remember a time before their soldiers marched through the streets or the Reich’s flag hung from buildings everywhere you looked. He grew up enamored with them and wished to join their wondrous ranks — much to his father’s chagrin. Vivec Ivorea hated the Reich with a passion from the second they arrived on the continent, and he would continue to hate them until the end of his life.

The Ivorea family was of decently high station in Dia; not at the top, but far from the bottom. They were respected by their peers and generally liked by the people. Vivec was especially popular, even though he was a vocal opponent of the Reich occupation from the very beginning. Others saw him as an inspiration, but to his son, he was just an embarrassment. The Reich were good to their people. What purpose did rebellion serve? His father’s dissent served only to strengthen Vincent’s loyalty to his new leaders.

The two’s opposed ideologies coexisted in a sort of tacit truce for some time, but disaster struck when Vivec organized a genuine uprising against the Reich soldiers in the city. Brought to his wit’s end by the actions of his father, Vincent left home and wandered south. He didn’t know where he was going, but it didn’t matter, as long as it wasn’t Dia.

It took only a few months before he learned that his father’s actions had found the city, his home, his people, annihilated by the Guardian Force. Dia no longer existed. All because of Vivec.

Word spread quickly. The name “Ivorea” became like poison to anyone who knew it. That’s the son of the man who destroyed Dia, they whispered about him. Son of a traitor to the Reich. Vincent lost the standing he had with the people of Overseasland. A few nobles here or there understood the truth, and gave him their sympathy, but the rest wouldn’t spare him the time of day. His reputation lay in tatters because of his father, no matter how hard Vincent had tried to prevent it.

Seven years later and Vincent is still picking up the pieces. Things have improved, marginally; he has found employment at the Governor’s estate as retainer to the man’s daughter. He still feels hateful eyes on him from many of his fellows and still sees the whispering of commoners as they pass. Just less than before. But less is good.

Right now, all that Vincent really wants is to serve his lady... and to make sure that he will not die known only as the son of a traitor.

Bio:

Born as the eldest child in the noble mage family of House Etlern. At the insistence of her father Erwin, all of Altha's time from early childhood, day in and day out, was devoted to the furthering of her studies for the sake of entering the esteemed Kaiserlich Magic Academy. The only reprieve she received were the small moments of free time in which she would read books about the outside world and history in the family library when she wasn't spending it on independent study.
 
As expected, the efforts of her labor bore fruit, and she was admitted into the academy at the age of thirteen. Remembering her father's expectations for her, Altha threw herself into her studies unlike ever before. Altha soon developed a reputation among her fellow students for being an unsocial workaholic, further isolating her from the outside world.

During her time at the Academy, while she originally entered with the aim of focusing upon the esteemed Reich art of Geomancy, Altha developed a particular interest in the study of Overseasland magical practices and theory. Her exemplary performance and dedication to her studies eventually caused her to be taken under the wing of one of her professors, Wilhelm Acherleicht, an esteemed scholar and leading mind in their field who also happened to be one of her father's greatest rivals in the community of magical scholarship. The source of this rivalry was due to the contrast between Erwin Etlern's stark traditionalist views on magical theory in comparison to Acherleicht's personal advocacy for experimentation and legitimization of fields and beliefs considered by many in the Reich to be mere irrational barbarism and superstition. A rift developed between Altha and her family that would persist for the next few years to come.

Despite this drama, the next few years were what Altha remembers as joyous ones, haven gained new chances to progress her studies and gain hands on experience working with her mentor. Eventually she began development of her thesis, a treatise on the potential reapplications of recent findings on pre-Troian era artifacts and traditions. However her idyllic situation was shattered when she received the news of what Wilhelm had unveiled at the latest meeting of the Magi Assembly. He had stolen her research and claimed credit for himself.

A confrontation ensued, and Altha found herself helpless due to her mentor's influence and power. He laughed her out of his office, and she resorted to threatening to filing a report to the Academy board with her father as support, despite her having last contacted him almost two years ago by then. Things went downhill form there, and in only a few days an discharge of magical energy occurred that caused significant damage to the academy, resulting in several injuries and two deaths. An investigation found that there had been a failed attempt at performing a forbidden ritual within the school. Further searching found evidence planted in Altha's room indicating that she was the culprit.

The resulting tribunal lead to Altha's dishonorable expulsion from the Academy and scholastic orders. Having been disowned by her family and with her career in shambles, Altha decided to start over with whatever she could, and eventually found herself taking upon a job as the tutor of the twin children of some minor nobility under an assumed name, while continuing her personal studies in her off time with what little resources she could scrounge together. She persisted in this role for some time until eventually her secret was discovered, and she was immediately fired and blacklisted oncce again.

Out of desperation, she eventually resorted to contacting her family. While her stern father was not immediately receptive to hearing from her again, he was willing to listen out of a sense of obligation to familial honor. Thankfully, he softened up enough after hearing her tale of Acherleicht's treachery against her to be willing to help her, and pulled some connections in order to obtain for Altha an out of the way posting in the Overseasland.

Bio:
Simona Randall is a maid working for the Peritz family. Her family used to be one of great merchants, but they had been tied deep with the old monarchy - when they were deposed and the Reich took over, many of their assets were lost. For a few years, the family tried to recover with it’s saved funds, but it was only a matter of time. Simona was born during this decline - after her mother took her away from her father’s self destructive spiral into poverty.

It has been hard, but the young woman and her mother have made do with what they have. Since she was young, Simona’s worked wherever she could, odd jobs and… some questionably legal ventures. Within the last year, she’s finally made stable employment as a maid (and unofficial guard) of the Peritz estate.

She doesn’t really hold things against the Reich… mostly. It was before her time, and the way she’s grown up, the past has barely mattered as much as the present. The primary remnant of the old status is in Simona’s in-born pride; treat her with respect, you will get respect in turn. Otherwise, you’ll find the pretty girl has thorns.

So yeah, let's make it official and advertise that FEF6 is accepting 3 more players! Well, technically 2, because the 3rd slot has been promised to Praefectus, I gonna get this man in finally U:

The three new characters would join us after Chapter 3-2, which is next map after the current one. Therefore ETA would be a month? Hopefully!

All three characters would be part of Reich Army coming from the 'mainland', therefore native nobles/rebels/informants/whathaveyou would not get in. To better familiarize yourself with the game, I would recommend reading through IC thread (http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=173661.0), it's only 50 pages and there haven't been that much plot of yet.

Of course, they would be brought up with level ups to whatever the current roster would get to by end of next map.

Bio: The only son of the impoverished house of Ishim, Cecil never really was one for sitting still at home while his parents- never too close, but not too distant- attempted to bolster what was left of the ruined family fortune, which was devastated in years past by the wars. Cecil was always more interested in seeing the world around him, hardly paying attention during his riding lessons- given in the vain hope that Cecil would enlist in the army to earn his fortune and possibly theirs back- and preferring the books of the olden tales; tales of legendary heroes slaying evil emperors and wise princes delivering justice to a scheming court full of devious traitors and evil viziers. For Cecil, the ideal was not a great warrior, but a pure-hearted warrior, one who knew when to stay their blade and when to use it to vanquish evil. Nonetheless, there was the sense that, for Cecil, he never really had any plans to do anything in life, no great ambitions, no chip on his shoulder. 

The time, eventually, did come for Cecil to change when he decided once to take himself out to the village to think after an argument with his trainer in the art of fighting- who, much to his chagrin, was not much of a fan of Cecil's fantasy He chanced upon a travelling theatre troupe putting on a small production in the village square out of the caravan they travelled with for the villagers. The drama they had put on was no complicated affair; it was a slapdash effort, by all accounts, and nothing to compete with the songs of the best bards or the stories of the best legends, but it enchanted the young man nonetheless, as Cecil was enamoured with the idea of seeing his stories played out by real people upon a stage. When he went home, he knew what he needed to do. He apologised to his trainer and began to train his hardest. He was still rather overly idealistic, much to his trainer's chagrin, but he did have a new aim.

He believed that he could do better than those actors, and that he could write a play that competed with the most melodious songs of the bards or the most heroic of all epics. By day, he trained hard, knowing that he would eventually need to join the army or at least seek his fortune outside his family's shrunken lands, to build the best of arenas and hire the best players for his troupe. By night, he tirelessly wrote manuscripts and stories, reading to learn the art of writing a drama for actors and adapting some of the great epics to be performed on the stage. When he gave these in secret to the occasional passing troupe and paid them to perform, Cecil enjoyed seeing the amazement of those in the audience who wondered at the fairy tales they were told being performed in front of them. It was seeing the smiles on other's faces, most of all, that made Cecil happy, but he realised his fortunes, where he was now, could not support his goal.

Eventually, he set off to seek his fortunes, a horse at his side, a weapon at hand and a bag of scrolls to work on his magnus opus; the greatest story he had ever written, to be performed in the greatest arena he could build by the best actors he could find. Cecil decided he would create a story to be acted out, one that would be remembered for generations if he had his way....but doing so needed money, and money meant getting whatever work he could. And so, that is the tale of how Cecil ended up in the Reich Army, for once a decision his parents approved of. Their kind-hearted son would at last perhaps be of use to their ambitions of restoring the Ishim name, wholly unaware of Cecil's true desires.
