Otherwise I will wait a while to see what it is like and then make a decision to play or not.

I use the sheer force of my will to transform the chains into an awesome sword (which doesn't attach me to the wall).

A stat could be anything.
Any related action would improve the stat.
A stat would be displayed like this:
Sleeping||||||||||
With the green bars representing experience, and the red showing experienced remaining for some bonus.

It is surprisingly good at making people specialize in certain actions.

Also, my RTD is a 3D maze :).

That sounds nifty.  Adopted.
For simplicity's sake, I'll only put in a bar for those who actually have any experience in whatever stat is involved.
For bonuses:
In the case of a 6+x, a special "Multiple Overshot" occurs.  Specifics for that will come when it is required.
As for the actual playing field: We haven't explored any of it yet.
There could be all sorts of hidden traps, puzzles, fun stuff...
(My way of saying: I don't design the areas until we reach them)

Nope.
Also keep in mind: Updates will not be this fast later -- I have work just like anybody else, and so, even if all turns are placed, it may be some time before I update, depending on the time of day.  Only your first post will count, so if you decide to change, stealthily edit that post before I can see it :P
These stat bars are quite frustrating to make with any speed.
I think I'm going to migrate to a more traditional "Statname: EXP/10; Level LVL" system (of course, it'd still be your system, just an easier way of showing it)

Yeah, I got that much out of quoting it.  That's what I *was* doing for the first turn, as you see.  But it's very tedious.  Changed as mentioned.
Waiting: I'll wait until after I get off work the day after the most recent turn before continuing with no actions/automatic actions for those who can't keep checking it.

The humaneater was (as I expected) only going to nip at you and cause you 1/10 damage, not an instant death as the overshot caused...
5 would have allowed you a defensive roll against the same effect, but it was a 6...

Anyway, I wrestle my head out of it's mouth. Decapitation isn't going to stop me.

Alternately, I spend my last few seconds before I bleed to death thinking about the futility of life, and how as the first to die, I will invariably raise strange philosophical issues, or appear as a recurring villain later on, or whatever always happens. And then I slip off into oblivion...

Also, I leave my chains to Frelock. May what symbolized oppression in my life symbolize triumph in yours.

There was a text adventure or something based on The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It's well known for killing you when you do some trivial thing. I think.

Anyway, I'd appreciate resurrection, but you guys can go ahead and save the scroll or roll cigarettes in it or something. Good luck.

Anyway, I try and gain angelic healing powers as a result of my afterlife experience. Alternately, I try and gain healing powers as a result of my lack of an experience with an afterlife. Depends on the reality of this RTD.

I haven't made a Pain status, nor do I think I will ever.  Does that answer your question?

I use pain as a generic plot device to justify roll fails, most of the time. You could take it into account and just use it from time to time.

Well.  I just think it's an unnecessary complication.
You can do things your way, but Pain is not something I intend to inflict. (blegh tongue twister)  Bleeding/limb loss/stunning will take the place quite nicely, I expect.
