One must learn what serpent you are dealing with to know how to cure it's venom, to keep it from harming your flock, to find it's nest, or how best to kill it outright. Do you not agree those are all useful things?
--
We are dealing with either something that can puppet an unwilling body; or something who's dark whisperings can not just be lead a man of the cloth astray, but make a full about face... and of those two possibilities I'm not sure which is more worrying...
As for the poor man who was host to that wretched... parasite... May his soul rest in peace, and his memory ever be a blessing.

"The Devil is an old foe, whose trickery is known, and against whom we already have the the perfect weapon in Christ. He can puppet the unwilling to a lesser extent, but the kind of full corruption that we saw here requires convincing over a long period. He must have latched onto some small sin this poor priest had, and had not absolved himself of, which at his urging became greater and greater until he gave himself to the devil. It's unfortunate, but this is why it's important to confess and purify your sins before they become too great."

As Kay leaves to face the skeletons, Amadeo turns to the fallen robe.

"May the Lord be merciful upon you. You knew not what you were doing."

He then runs to the fight as well, ending up behind Vincenza.

"Hunter! You're wounded, drink this!"

Q4. Use Vulnerary on Vincenza.

"No man knows the hour of the eschaton. Not you or I. So quiet the Devil's lies, and perhaps by grace you will be forgiven."

Relic in hand and a prayer on his lips, Amadeo approaches Lukan, fearless. He knows the Devil is at his heart a coward, and his slaves are rarely better. Softening the protections of dark magic, such that the other hunters can strike true, should suffice.

H4. Attack Necromancer.

4
Amadeo keeps his eyes tightly on the necromancer, and speaks to Kay over his shoulder:

"There's nothing to learn. It's the Devil himself acting through that person. Only the Lord can deliver us from death. Any other method is folly at best and mockery such as this at worst."

He clutches the reliquary in his hand tightly, ready to allow charis to flow through it into the material world.

"Luckily, the Lord can deliver us from death."

5
Everything is still incomplete and may change.

Amadeo's gaze immediately focuses on the robed person.

"A witch! Should have known this was no natural fire. Come face your judgment, slave of the Devil!"

He runs directly towards them, intending to bring an end to the evil magic as soon as possible.

I3.

Anima for Amadeo.

Amadeo sighs, then sets down the drink he'd barely touched so far.

"It seems a preacher's work is never done."

He turns to the Mayor, severely.

"Mayor Jakov, if would please organize your people, improve the bucket brigades they are already forming, and make sure the civilians are safe...?"

Already walking towards the door, he beckons to the other hunters in the room.

"The dark may be attracted to the light, but only for jealousy and pride. If it knew humility, it would know it could freely share in God's infinite light. And so it falls to people like us to humble it. Let's go."

Amadeo reaches for his pouch and arms himself with what seems to be a wooden box, small enough to hold in one hand. Though unadorned, it radiates a certain...importance.

9
A lanky man enters alongside the Grando siblings. He is wearing the habit of the Order of Preachers, and overall carrying himself as a holy man should, albeit with a focused gaze, searching for threats. It seems the mayor classified as one.

"They've traveled with me for several days now, all the way from Trieste. There'd be no sense to come this far just for beer and bread. I am here to take on the Demon's Castle, and so are they."

He then turns to the barkeeper.

"Beer, but not too strong for now. There is still work to be done."

10
Miyako follows Madoka with the rest of the group.

Full control of the area? If this becomes a contest of engineering, I'll have to be ready to both build and tear down.

11
"How does one hunt a Shiryo, Madoka? I haven't done it before. I know Gnoses are supposed to help with fighting it, but how can we find it?"

12
"All it takes for evil to be defeated is for good men to unite in righteous purpose. And a bit of steel, occasionally."

13
Miyako was a little sad the dinner went so poorly. Lord Kiyomaru clearly thought it should have been fine, and Miyako couldn't really blame him for an honest attempt.

"Of course, Tomoe. I presume this is about either the lord of the house, or maybe Keiko?"

14
Miyako had been taught at a young age not to say anything impolite about someone's cooking, especially when she's a guest. She was also taught not to speak falsehoods; that she wasn't praising the food either spoke volumes. Lord Kiyomaru was, however, a Lord, and that meant he should be handled with respect.

"Folks, as Lord Kiyomaru said, hospitality is sacred. We're breaking bread with him. He's not going to harm us."
