It would be nice to see a scene where you can see smoothed and engraved walls too, since these are often very different from tileset to tileset and in some cases the defining feature.

I agree. I plan to redo these all later. I made diagonal rooms to help show off tilesets with diagonal walls, but forgot that required smoothed walls. Also add a few more rooms like temple, museum, barracks, and bedrooms to show some furniture of those rooms.

Thanks for the comparisons! I noticed that the dark gray 'Dwarf Fortress' text in the screenshot is really hard to read; it looks like you're using an old version of my pastel palette, any chance you could upload the newest one (https://gitlab.com/dwarf-fortress/taffer/-/blob/master/palettes/pastel/data/init/colors.txt) please? Should have fewer legibility concerns.

Just got here.  :o Wow, a comprehensive recent comparison. Thank you. I loved humble and burn fx. Is there a specific place where people talk about how to mod. I was gonna try and make my own additions to currently existing ones.
