I grab my off-brand-neo-satan tool of screwing things and happily march off towards some way I can make it towards Floor Zero, asking Decon for directions if necessary.

In case you churn out a new turn before I get back from Christmas:
Investigate the screwdriver, poke stuff with it etc, if it proves mundane retry the spell (and test out that one too).
Dig through the notes to see if any of these conspiracies seem to relate to the current goings on, the handers, grimore or the plethora of strange goings on currently

(I'll probably put a more thoughtful turn here post-Christmas, but investigating the screwdriver at least would be rad)

((Emp & Corsair: Just so you know, I'm not frequenting on the forum much anymore. So count me out of the game too.))
((Understood. It's been fun and in case we don't see you around again, we wish you the best of luck in all your future endeavors.))
You guys bogged down in exams or the like?

shoot bloody everything that looks even the slightest bit important with the chaingun.
((Ahh, the tried and tested "percussive maintenance" technique turned on it's head. I dig it ;) ))

There are many opportunities for those willing to undertake their risks.

What sort of game do you wish to play is the question?
In a hybrid of both science and desire for some of the most ridiculous common house tools of all time:
"19 c8 05" (12/18 COMP)
"9c" (6/18 COMP)
Kinda looking for a screwdriver with a (safe) leather handle and a screwdriver-y core of what I have in my notes as "Blood Metal". All I know is I don't want to touch it without testing it first (Which is where the lump of flesh comes in!) :P

"Second verse same as the first? Something of a mystery, a puzzle or any tricky situation that needs just a little lateral thought. I must admit I greatly enjoyed our ill-fated corporate espionage earlier. Perhaps even some more... primary directives? You didn't bet on me with no rhyme or reason after all, the house always wins and all that.
Eschewing all that dump me in a warzone and I'll make my own problems ;) .
"

While speaking to Decon, on noting the simple nature of the safe Ned grabs some thin plastic or paper from the table adorned with all the lovely drawings, carefully sprinkles and blows some dust on the thumbprint reader and presses the plastic/paper on the reader with his thumb. Hopefully the previous user didn't take the time to wipe off his thumbprint before Armageddon came knocking.

(Thin plastic preferred, or the suit I guess if it has appropriate gloves?)
(If "no dust can be found" some charcoal shavings/dust from same table)

((Huh, I wonder if the Squire is still knocking around.. almost feel bad now))

Wild Wasteland [Passive]: Strange events happen around the user as if drawn to them or catalyzed by their very presence.
((Wild (Wild) Wasteland, an awesome bound Stenson and a Luck based Handler? I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE. AND I LOVE IT))

Summon my brand new smexy hat and put it on my head.
"Thanks Decon, and thanks to the sponsors! I do like a stylish momento."

Use Tradecraft [Luck]

Summon some new clothes (I hope) : "19 87 22"[COMP 14/18] (curious what difference order has in spells if any)
And a little bit of lucky wire for later: "70 83" [COMP 4/18] (will also help pin down exactly what cost is silver)

Put on clothes (if successful, and don't have spikes on the inside or something ridiculous) and grab my wire (again if I didn't f#k it up) and go have a detailed look at that safe. Does it look like a mundane safe? Anything weird about it? Is it biometric, lock or combination secured?

"Anyway Decon more jobs sounds good! But I'm very curious about this safe, and this apartment for that matter. I'm just going to take a crack at the bank here before we leave.. Any details on this job, or is there more than one to pick from?"

Say, before you expire, do you want to be resurrected back at that apartment? We can arrange
for other venues, some false identities, and a few cards to go with it.

Additionally completing this mission has unlocked new resources for our players and more for yourself.
You can all now imprint small Armour Frames that you have previously accessed onto the network to be summoned at
will after enough time has elapsed.
Spoiler: LEVEL UP (click to show/hide)
(("[+] Tactical Genius" ... *giggle* oh pishposh :P if you're not careful I'll grow an ego!
Also... DAT ABILITY *HHHNNGG*))

Ned allows his body to slump down to the ground, and thinks about even just an hour ago, it almost seems an eternity away.
Fortunately he's lost so much blood already the pain is little more than a dull throb, even though he knows with each throb he inches closer to death. Fortunately Ned has a gatekeeper at death's door.

"If you've got another mission for me, feel free to send me wherever you need. Otherwise I might just have another look at that strange individual's apartment, see if I can't bust that safe."
Ned looks down at the vast collection of items spilling out of his pockets.
"... I understand asking to keep the m60 might be a bit much, but I'll ask anyway... but at the very least... could I keep the hat?"
Ned smiles to himself, but as his eyes close he hears not the answer.

((PS: Hint to bring my own damn wire noted))

"Worry not, I have no intention of dying yet."

Look for a coil of anything conductive, either on my dead friend or on my way into the server room.
Jam it into the base of my neck and channel "22"

Grab my foe's hat, gun and check his pockets for any items of value or interest.

Finally, if I have not done so already head (back) to the server room.
(If I was unable to find some wiring somehow, even in light fittings like last time etc, just go straight to the server room)

Handler: (What does this mean?)
((It's a hallucinatory figure who gives you directions and conversation if you feel like it, each one grants a Tradecraft ability for picking them with later ones being tailored your the character. DECOHERENT's starting Tradecraft is Luck, which for one turn makes 3s in your dice pool count as successes.))

"It's a shame, really. The eldritch monster trying to destroy our universe seems like the kind of enemy they would be able to unite against. Damn politics.

The darkness seems safe and you step forwards as the darkness wraps around you like a funerary shroud. It is dark and warm here, but you can feel something nearby. Stalking you, the laugh trickles out again closer now. As you whip around to face it, the darkness coalesces into a single figure. A man wearing a full charcoal suit with a blood red tie and a grey stetson hat. In his hand is a bouquet of white roses which he lets fall to the floor, pulling from them a M60 light machine gun.

"I'm afraid you're sadly mistaken. Nothing personal old chap, you know how it is."

[MDEF vs. UTAR: 5 vs. 1] Avoiding the attack

The machine gun opens up with a roar of high velocity 7.62mm rounds. The rounds rip through concrete and air but you are able to handily dodge the burst of machine gun fire, but in such confined spaces, it's only a matter of time until you get hit, not unless you kill him first of course.

"Now, now, that's not how it goes! Let's try it again shall we? And this time, please do die."

You can already the pale lines tracing from where he will fire.

Excellent.

Focus on staying out of the way of those projected bullet paths (MDEF) and close the distance as fast and as soon as possible. The M60 is no derringer, he might have a harder time shooting me with it if I'm wrapped around his torso like a murderous groupie. Who also has a [Kitchen Knife], which I very much plan to use here.

"In the great words of SCOOB..."

As I close the distance open fire with my own handgun and pound the trigger, if I hit him that's awesome but mostly for suppression. (Thats right, I'm going to try and suppress a dude with a M60... with a handgun.)
((EDIT: If I must target something, go for the good-ol-fashioned center of mass. Something to slow him down a touch, add some more red to that tie))

"... YABBA ..."

Keep firing right up until just after I've found myself in his armpits and start stabbing.
But more than that; You know what this dangerous close-quarters engagement with an unknown M60 magical gunner needs? More dangerous magic.

"... DABBA..."

Once I'm close enough to count his nosehairs: a9 66 otrm

"... DIE."

Well then.
...
Activate [LUCK]
Get on one knee, and bow.
Keep my neck and head straight, and pointed straight at the wall of enveloping blackness.

"You will fall to me."
"1d avdi"

Rise, and keep my gun ready. If it looks like I can pass safely do so, if doubt stays my step, then stay.

[TRAN: 4/4] Resistance

Down the left fork is what appears to be the server room, but the more that you look the more wrong the image appears, it gives you the gut feeling of being a despicable trap of some sort. The right fork leads into all consuming darkness which looks menacing and seems to move at times.

You begin to hear faint chuckling echoing down the corridor on the left.
WELL THEN. HOW ABOUT NO THANK YOU.

Summon up some hopefully ok armor: "22 84" and if it fits, and doesn't have spikes on the inside, wear it!
Head down the righthand fork, straight into the all-consuming darkness because I don't want to die, although if I can coax the boar to go first by tempting it with a nice hunk of tasty metal then do so.
Keep my gun at the ready, and if combat is initiated activate [Luck] and start firing at the threat's center of mass. Use MDEF in preference to SDEF. Be extra cautious of ambush in the darkness (that is if it doesn't instantly dissipate once I pass it's barrier :P)

((I definitely considered making a bomb of some magical description and rolling it down the probably-not-the-way-to-the-server-room corridor, but with my stats I'm just as likely to shoot myself in the face and just make whatever is lurking down there angry :P
Also I'd like to acknowledge that I may have read this situation wrong, in which case.. no change. HEAD FIRST INTO DARKNESS! YAY!))
