Chapter Master, a /tg/ homebrew urban legend that finally became real. The dev actually visits Bay 12 fairly frequently.

Really cool but... that's an Eldar jetbike? Wow, they changed them.
Pretty sure that's a custom job.
I think I've got one around the house I can snapski's.

I think I solved this mystery...  It is indeed a custom Vyper, but not from scratch.  The parts came from a Forge World Hornet.  Very easy to match up the bits in the Hornet's 360 view.

That magnet job is insane.  :D

Found the blueberry encounter with Slaaneshi. Apparently it was from a white dwarf thing, and was put on the GW website until the great purging of their IP. Now few people will ever be able to find it.

Oh yeah, got the latest SM codex.
Fun stuff.

I've noticed with it and Eldar that the faction detatchment is rather specific.
I.E. Minimum number of troops, vehicles, etc.

Maybe it's trying to give more incentive to play balanced forces?
For instance, the SM Demi-company.
If you take two of them (6 tac squads, 1 of each HQ, etc etc) then you get all dedicated transports free.
Pretty sexy, except it requires 6 tac squads which wouldn't really be that powerful in the current meta.

As a mech-guard player, I'm worried for next release.

Have any heavy-metal bands done songs about the Chaos Gods?

I mean, I know that plenty of bands have done songs about the Cthulhu Mythos, which is kind of similar.

Hmm, not sure about Heavy Metal specifically, but several other metal genres have bands that have 40k themed songs.

Debauchery (Death Metal) has more than a few about Khorne and the World Eaters.

Hammer of Faith, Keepers of Death, Grimwind and HMkids all have songs themed around chaos (and 40k in general) but they don't sing in english if that's a problem. They mostly count as Black Metal or Death Metal bands I think.

Galaxy Aflame (Industrial Metal I think) has songs about Slaanesh, the 1k Sons, the Night Lords, Horus and Chaos in general.

Bolt Thrower (Death Metal) has a few songs about 40k, mostly chaos from what I recall.

Oddly Heavy Metal and Power Metal bands rarely seem to make 40k tributes from what I've found.

That's actually pretty surprising.

It was probably tried, and the sued-to-death corpses of the musicians were turned into new codexes by GW.

Manowar songs are usually used for AMVs though.
