One time I nearly killed a kid while saving them from the ocean!

It was a day with insane riptide/undertow and they weren't letting anyone in the water. I was sitting near the water letting it like, hit my feet n stuff. Was probably heading for a toot from the lifeguard. However, in NJ we sometimes have problems with stupid tourists being like lol how bad can it be and then getting pulled out half-drowned by 3 lifeguards 5 minutes later.

Suddenly this like, 1-2 year old toddler comes tumbling uncontrolled past me, like head over heels, rolling into the water. I'm like OH MY GOD and I lunged/grabbed them with both feet around the sides of their neck, holding them under their chin. I dug my arms into the wet sand halfway up to my elbows and the ocean dragged my 6'4" ass like 7 more feet straight through the sand before the wave stopped pulling. I was like oh shit oh shit I am going to get sucked into the Atlantic and also I must have broke this poor kid's neck oh geez, but then their mother came by and grabbed em' and ran off and they were apparently ok.
