You decide to go outside and get flowers for Anna as soon as possible, but then you remember that you don't have money on you.

You exit your room and enter a living room.

You look around. There's your PC in the corner. Another door to the north leads to your mom's room. It's closed. You remember that the long cabinet along a southern wall has a bar/safe compartment where you store your documents and money.

And the card to inform her of our precarious situation...

You open the cabinet and take some money to buy some flowers. You take 300 roubles... Then you take the remaining 500. Mom is going to be pissed off when she returns, but you want to make sure that Anna forgives you for what you've done (if only you could remember what it was).
You browse different cards, but there's no appropriate one. There're a few "happy birthday" and "happy 8th March day" cards. Finally you find and take one which says "congratulations", because it's the only card which is unrelated to any specific holiday.

Mental state: Content, a bit lonely.

You notice that it's quite dark in the room. The carpet on the floor looks dark blue, and green wallpapers look gloomy. It's definitely evening outside, and all the lights in the house are out.

Also you notice that children's laugh and cries from the street disappeared. It's really quiet outside. You hear a sound of a car driving by in the distance, and then it's quiet again.

We bought the flowers and card?
If so, then throw away the card and make something personal. If not, get up and go to the store.

Let's find a weapon first, I'm getting the feeling that we might need it. Go through the door on the upper left.

If it's a gun, get roses, and say you'll blow your brains out for Anna when apologizing to her if she leaves you.
Unless thus is TOO creepy.

Killer, excuse me, but do you read the story? We didn't buy flowers, we're still in our living room, we've just got money and some random card which could suit the situation. I will describe everything what's going on, unless you're unconscious.

Faden> Got it. I'm here to get a bit more thoughts to allow other people to participate, but the suggestion is pretty reasonable. Jack starts to be a bit nervous, he doesn't like darkness.

Sorry. I must've thought we could teleport or something.
Throw away the card and look for a weapon.

idea: profiles for the parts of jack's mind we're playing

name:insane part
goal:drive jack crazy
first surfaced:when jack woke up today
backstory:is actually the embodiment of an elder god. sometimes takes breaks from jack to play with his other mindslaves.

(could you use my mindslaves as a future plot device?)

Sure. I'll be the curious part, or whatever.

Anyway, I vote for the personalized card, rather than the congratulations. Find some paper and a pen and make one. Also, do we have Anna's phone number?

(((You can't be elder gods or something, but you can think so; actually I have plans for every one of you, and you will have to try hard to finally get who you are, but it's in a long run... Meanwhile, call yourself what you want; Jack saw a lot of fictional movies and read a lot of fantasy books, and he likes to imagine various things while he has nothing to do, so it's ok)))

You don't like the "generic" view of the card, and "congratulations" do not suit the situation at all. "Congratulations, sorry for everything". Sounds silly. Still there's no visible piece of paper on your PC table you could turn into a card right now, so you keep the card in your hand.

You open the door to a Mom's room. It's dark inside, you hardly recognize the furniture. There's a table with a tv on the right, and there's a big bed on the left. A dim light comes through a glass door which leads to the balcony.

You start to feel nervous. There's a quiet screech coming from the south, from the staircase, like a sound which appears when a rusty door opens.
