Nevermind, I worked it out.

For anybody else who has trouble:

To get it to work you also have to download the file with the un-used world (on page 4) in order to get the modified Reaction Folder, and copy it into the Raw/Objects folder.

Also, in order to make it easier could people please at the very least include the reaction file in the folder that you upload (that is of course assuming you make no other changes).

Really, though, it would be easier to do what Duke said and just upload the world.

Something else that can make more sense in the armor department would be to add the civ controllable tag to humans in the entity raw.

But that seems to be a very minor one. If that was not added, I would have done it my my turn.

Now lets see, how to make my own goblin tower...

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

Oops. Terribly sorry about that! I knew I forgot something. Do you want me to upload it again with the reactions?

Seeing as he already fixed it, it doesn't seem necessary. Everybody after will need to do it, however.

ummm... this will probably sound a bit idiotic...

Im not very good at finding things in DF... any chance we could get told where the various dungeons are?

I'm in but how do i upload the save after I have finished?

Rather than having them directly force you to mine adamantine, I would suggest that they give you strange moods that require adamantine. "Dig out the adamantine or Urist here goes insane and dies" is suitably vicious.

(It occurs to me that you can probably get "Lovecraft" as the random name of your fortress. That's when you know you're screwed.)

Just go into dwarf fortress mode, hit R to reclaim, but don't actually reclaim the fort. Note where it is on the map, and then exit out into adventurer mode and go to the fortress.

Ooh...I've always wanted to make an evil adventurer's map. I always enjoyed the old Zelda 64 Water Temple and wanted to one-up it in sheer maliciousness.  ;D

I'd like to help, but what's this about reactions?

:Okay, read the thread, know about the reactions. So, in the uploaded folder, include the Region and reactions file? It seems pointless to upload the creature raws and the init files.:

The dwarf fortress side of dungeon construction has been modified to make smelting bars give a ridiculous amount of usable material per ore chunk.

Or, with a bit of modifying, ridiculous amounts of metal bars from the air.

Me again - it would appear I've been added to the list! Wonderful!

Should I add my email so I may be notified/led-by-the-hand-on-how-to-mod-the-game-as-is-required-for-my-evil-machinations?

Someone has PMed cheetar, right? Because I finished a long time ago and posted my save, and the OP mentions me as being current, which simply is not true!
