The world is Ameranthin, and just from a single look you can tell this world has seen better times, it is Roughly divided into four Biome sections, a Desert, a Jungle, one forth is on fire, and one forth is just a frozen wasteland, all around it you can see the results of nuclear war, and in some places- smoke, likely from camps set up by the survivors of it or their descendants... now you are here as well, and what happens next depends on you.

Arrive.
Head to the closest settlement.
"Rejoice, for Mekhane has arrived!"
-
Mekhane
- - - - - -
You travel West, into the jungle and to the first "settlement" which is a very generous thing to call the small set of tents and ramshackle shacks set up near a river. The inhabitants of this place look to be Short green insectoid people, with several sets of arms and or legs. In the center of this place you can see some large beast rotating over an open fire, and from the looks of things twitching.
Previous post. (http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=171392.msg7808433#msg7808433)

"I am a traveler from a distant land. Tell me of your sophistication."
-
Mekhane
- - - - - -
The mortals are strangely not unnerved by a demigod such as yourself, and while explaining that they are Jinvar of Eden, and ask which of the four lands you come from, using terms such as "The Heat" "The Frigid" "dustfall" and "The unlands" in their own questioning.
-
"I arrived here from the east, but I am a traveller of many lands."
-
Mekhane
- - - - - -
After some more talking it becomes apparent that the natives seem to think that you are one of their species despite your rather... different look.
Suddenly you hear cracking off towards the direction you came from, whatever is over there must be a rather large beast as the locals are rather unnerved, running or hiding rather then arming themselves.
-
Investigate. This does not bode well.
-
Mekhane
- - - - - -
You travel back, and spot a rather curious creature- It seems to be a massive ape with vine matted- and bloodsoaked fur, and from the way it is tearing apart a smaller more elephant sized creature it is clearly very strong. It has not yet spotted you.
-
Return to the village. It seems to know this place, so an attempt to hide in the jungle would likely be ineffective.
-
Mekhane
- - - - - -
Travel back to the village is relatively uneventful, although for most of it you could swear you felt the huge beast wandering off towards the North. Shortly after you get back the mortals return from their hiding.
-
Monado- Armor
Enter into the Fiery Land.
World Order- Ether of Thyself
-
Elysia
- - - -
You Travel North, Into the Burning lands- which turn out to be a bit less fiery then first appearances would suggest, only Spewing fire out of Some holes in the ground rather then all, it is covered in layers of ash. Further north you can see what looks to be some form of town built up from iron, Somewhat north westernly you can see a small red forest. Scattered around half buried in the ground are what may have at one point been some form of military vehicle- many look to have exploded, all are somewhat melted and more then a few were torn open.
-
Those are two of my abilities you know..
Head to the Iron town.
-
(Yes, I read up on your abilities before writing- and didn't think it was necessary to reiterate that you had used them at this point)
Elysia
- - - -
You head towards the Iron town- as you near its walls you see several heavily armored natives standing upon them, two point what is likely some form of rifle at you before being told off by some superior officer, What quickly follows is the metallic 'Gates' to this town opening with a stiff grinding sound and you being gestured in.
-
Enter.
-
"Have you any knowledge of a massive ape soaked in blood and wrapped in vines? It may have left to the north, though I am unsure."
-
Elysia
- - - -
Inside the exceptionally oppressive but mostly harmless amounts of heat reduces to a more tolerable form of Hot. natives young and old are Walking along both sides of the "main street"- and from this much closer distance it is clear that they are not heavily armored rather they have some form of thick carapace covering most of their body. Approaching from the left is the military officer, carrying a rifle similar to the soldiers upon the wall upon His(?) back. They ask Who you are and where you came from, after introducing themselves as Major D. Xindixi.
- - - - - -
Mekhane
- - - - - -
A few of the natives explain that you encountered on of the "Beasts" Specifically you encountered one of the Rummagpege- Which other then their immense strength and brutality are known as rather slow and stupid- but are one of the main reasons that their ancestors had to abandon their city further to the southwest.
-
"I came from another world. I am Elysia"
As per usual, World Order.
-
"How many beings reside in this village?"
-
Elysia
- - - -
Apparently mostly unphased by your rather distant origins, the Major offers to take you on a tour of the settlement and possibly find a barracks for you to stay in for the night- as you are Obviously under equipped to be traveling around here after dark. Meanwhist you are still spreading ether to the air of this world, something which has not been noticed by most natives but some of the... odder ones have seemingly felt.
- - - - - -
Mekhane
- - - - - -
According to the natives there are roughly 30 of them in the village, and another 120 - 300 in other nearby places.

- - - - -
Its starting to get dark- Animals are starting to go quiet and although the sun has not moved since you got here a dark "shadow" is starting to move across it, you expect that it will be fully covered in 1-2 time periods.
-
Ask about any tasks that need doing.
-
Use my Prometheus ability to teach them science.
-
Elysia
- - - -
The major has several jobs, but stresses that most of them would be rather... difficult, to do until morning.
~JOBS~
>Check on the Miners of Devison C14-2... earlier in the day they lost radio contact and the major has been lacking in spare men to send to check on them, They Should be Somewhere to the north east
>Assist in clearing raiders out of Radioactive Storage depot X3... Several of the western natives apparently got into the town under the cover of night yesterday and have been raiding randomly from the Powerstation Dump area, The issue is that they cracked open several canisters of toxic waste and are proving rather... lethal with their contents, thus the major has only been able to keep them there for now.
>Outpost restock... Several nearby outposts have recently been retaken, now thats not to say that they are fully operational nor fully staffed, in fact they mostly have skeleton crews, thus since the major can't send out anyone out with the needed supplies for them it would be YOUR job if you accepted.

You Seek a way to teach the natives Science, searching around you quickly find a rusted down motorized vehicle, within it there are several dozen long dead corpses of something biologically different from the natives you have been interacting with- and their Rifles, returning you go through a few fairly simple lessons involving the physics and machining of the weapons which the small crowd of natives seem to get fairly easily.

It will clearly be "night" by the end of the next time period, and from a quick glance at the sky whatever god made this world was rather lazy about astrological structuring as there are no stars nor moons to speak of. Thankfully, it shouldn't last Too long if how long it was "day" is anything to go off.
-
"I'm rather capable. But I think seeking the miner's before dawn might be important."
"I'll head out to them for the night, and return once dawn breaks. Suppose I'll need a radio to give them as well.'
-
Teach them gun safety and how to use the rifles.
-
Elysia
- - - -
You accept the job of finding the miners, the Major mutters something about being eaten by a grue, then supplies you with a handheld radio and a lantern before telling you that No one will be allowed back in before dawn for any reason. As you leave and the gates grind closed behind you the sky finally goes dark. The only light around is from the town and the fires that burn scattered across the landscape.
- - - - - -
Mekhane
- - - - - -
You begin teaching the natives gun use and safety, It goes perfectly fine- proving that your presence has driven a form of natural devotion into them. As the light finally fades out the tribes shaman drags out a large crystalline structure and starts beating upon its side causing it to start producing light. Your massive knowledge of technology tells you that it is a highly advanced form of kinetic generator- and far more advanced then anything else you have found in this world.

General
- - - - -
Night has come- the darkness is nearly perfect except for a few lighted things here and there.
-
Continue to spread World Order as I head in the direction of the last radio signal.
Also, activate Armor.
-
Inquire as to the origins of the crystal.
-
Elysia
- - - -
You head further into this land of fire- towards the northeast where they were last seen. A few minutes? perhaps an hour? later you hear gunfire and spot something- or rather several things, a handful of smoky creatures which look somewhat feline, with slightly red and orange glowing spots showing through the darkness, Circling a concrete structure with a rather torn apart antenna upon its top. You can see an iron or steel door on this side, with deep claw marks in it- the creatures have clearly been trying to get in quite heavily. The creatures have clearly not seen you yet but it is only a matter of time until they do.
- - - - - -
Mekhane
- - - - - -
Your inquiry is answered with Replies of the "Temple of the greater ones", and somewhat vague directions to some sort of temple deeper to the west. Its clear that the shaman either didn't get it themselves or was told by whatever predecessor they had.
-
World Order: Ether of Thyself.
Ready my Xenoblade, and ready myself to use my Monaco Art: Swift. When they attack, cut their forms as chaff. Having their spirit form cut in half is just as deadly to them as if they were solid, maybe more so, being thoughts.
-
"Greater Ones? Please, tell me more."
-
Elysia
- - - -
You wait- when finally they notice you and charge, you strike- the first of the beasts is struck in twain with a shower of ash and sparks, Revealing at this much closer point that they are creatures of Fire, and clearly of this world. More come, Eight total, You rush forwards- decapitating one and the rest start to flee- in the corner of your eye you see something... different, more humanoid, but when you turn to look it is already gone.
- - - - - -
Mekhane
- - - - - -
The Shaman answers with tales of a race from an age before his people- a race that supposedly built cities in the sky and Bound the "Primal beasts" deep within the world, Tales of weapons able to reduce a man to dust without any effort- and of a time where all the world was lush and green(though not nearly as Lush and green as this Jungle...) Its clear that these sorts of stories make up much of their mythology and that if these people truly existed they likely don't exist anymore.
-
Best see if what's inside is all right. Call out to them that help is here. Spread World Order as usual.
-
"How far back does the history of your tribe stretch?"
-
Elysia
- - - -
You call out, and a slot opens in the door- the door which someone calls out from, identifying themselves as a miner and asking you in before the "Black Blazers" return and attack again.
- - - - - -
Mekhane
- - - - - -
According to the shaman, his tribe has been in existence for somewhere between 10950 and 164250 Cycles , But according to him some of his stories are from before the rising of the night shroom which occured roughly 365000 Cycles back.
-
Come in and offer the Radio. Ask what these Blazers are and what they do. Other Habits of them as well.
World Order as usual.
-
Ask about the Primal Beasts.
-
Elysia
- - - -
The miners are thankful for the Radio, and explain that "Black Blazers" Are a specific "breed" of Blaerz Beasts, they Feed upon Darkness and Fear- as well as anything they can get their maws around, and under ordinary circumstances take *Only* a few rounds from a heavy emplaced gun to remove- rather then a specialty *extinguisher* bullet. But as you can probably tell, they didn't really have access to either heavy weaponry nor Piles of ammo to drive them off when other more common beasts took out their radio early on in the day. they offer up a bed or a tour around this bunker that's constructed above their assigned mine.
- - - - - -
Mekhane
- - - - - -
The Shaman Explains that the Primal Beasts are supposedly the First four- and most powerful of the Beasts, each of them supposedly "rules" over a forth of the world, he doesn't know very much about the beasts of the other three fourths of the lands besides the legendary names of the primals, they are Eritheen, Frizzon, Attheriss, and Cinnderate. Eritheen is the supposed master of this jungle, they are referred to as the "Great Ape" and "Earth Bearer"- they are supposedly a massive wooden ape far greater in stature than all other things on this continent, who wears a mountain as armor- but the shaman half jokes that if such a massive creature truly exists then he would have seen it towering over the trees- you can tell that there is warning in that joke.
-
"A tour please. And getting rid of those Blazers is far easier for me."
Spread World Order still.
-
Walk around the village looking for interesting things.
-
Elysia
- - - -
The tour goes fairly quickly- the barracks is a sparse affair with more function then form to it, you didn't expect them to have any sort of greenhouse- but that is where they grew most of the food they have eaten in the last few months apparently, You pass up touring the generator room- less because of how boring it would be and more from the fact that their "Generator" is exposed to air- creating some rather hot flames in there- even compared to outside. Their armory is mostly empty- bar some obviously neglected trophy weapons and antiques. You also skimp out on inspecting the mine itself- what with it supposedly reaching molten rock in "a matter of feet"... what's with these guys and excessively hot and fiery places?
- - - - - -
Mekhane
- - - - - -
Traveling around you spot several oddities- Including natives happily eating brightly colored frog or toad like creatures which had just paralyzed a furry bear sized creature with several sets of limbs at a touch, Several humanoids of another species tied up and dangling from a tree with the word "Captives" carved into its side, and a native herding along what look to be caterpillars with what looks to be a crystalline cattle prod.

- - - - -
the sun is starting to show again- its morning- probably.
-
Continue to Spread World Order as far as I can in here. Prepare to head back to the village, unless they need something else.
>Assist in clearing raiders out of Radioactive Storage depot X3.
Radio Contact to see about that assignment. Is it on the way to the illage, or should I return there first?
-
Ask if they know of any other tribes.
-
Elysia
- - - -
The Depot is located back in the town- So you start walking, you reach the gate uneventfully and head to where it is supposedly located. The first thing you notice about the place is the smell- there is clearly more then just radioactive chemicals leaking out, second thing you notice is the dead guard- lying face down in a pool of his own blood- a green bone looking spike sticking out the back of their neck. The door is Sorta wide open, and some military guards are standing near the larger street openings to around here, mostly armed with what seems to be a form of flamethrower.
- - - - - -
Mekhane
- - - - - -
They know of three other nearby tribes- and The wandering trader caravan.
-
Try and repair the motorized vehicle.
-
Spread World Order into the site.
-
Elysia
- - - -
You spread Ether to the radioactive waste dump- flowing through the air, overtaking the flowing waste...
- - - - - -
Mekhane
- - - - - -
You begin working on fixing the vehicle-
it lacks half of an engine at the moment- but is thankfully a clearly electric vehicle.
Various important bits and pieces were rusted stuck or too loose from age- they were simple to fix.
It has a radio- but lacks an antenna from what you can tell.
Its windshield has clearly been shattered- but its probably safe.
