"I signed the contract same as all of ya. Ma always said ya have ta stick ta your promises, and a contracts just a written-down promise. I ain't going nowhere."

"Yeah, the fighting didn't kick back up after you went ahead or anything." At Gilbert's words, Eric sighed. "I noticed that the terms were pretty loose, and I figured we'd be made to put some real work in. I wouldn't have guessed we'd be expected to help her stage a coup." Eric groaned and pinched the bridge of his nose again.

[Sirus]

”Sest la what?”

: "Oh, pardon. It means 'that's life'."

  "Well... I'm happy at least."

Sea piped up from the corner,

"I'm happy too! Things are going well, we have a good group of people and Master Sybil is safe! Plus I bet we're going to find lots more interesting magical items along the way for me to study. I'm glad you're staying with us Wynne."

With a smile at the other girl, she turned back to the sword in her hands, trying to see how much of it she could figure out. The issue was, the magic inside the sword was light magic, something she wasn't very used to dealing with.

[Twinwolf]

"Yeah, gotta say I didn't really expect that. No use whining 'bout it though. Wonder if she's got any more surprises lined up?"

"Well, if I didn't, I'd just be leavin' Eric ta keep ya from running in front and gettin' stabbed again. Can't be havin' that."
