The second installment of Soldier plays Pokemon! Now playing the gen 2 remakes, with a twist.

Storm Silver (https://gbatemp.net/threads/pok%C3%A9mon-sacred-gold-storm-silver.327567/) is a hack for Soul Silver that enables every pokemon to be obtained in one game, changes a few pokemons around but leaves the story practically intact, and adds a few events.

Note about the updates: to ease the load on dropbox limits I'm changing the updates to mhtml format, it's a page you can download and read (I'd do PDF but animated gifs don't work)

Even in a modded game Chikorita gets no love. Just saw the extra moves it received, and it is a very small number yet sheesh. But some others -finally- are getting the needed changes so I might play it. Solid Rock Magcargo should already be a thing normally with how many weaknesses that thing has, and perhaps with an extra speed to use shell smash right. Also very happy that Masquerain retains the water typing, woo! Screw bug/flying.

And as I want to see Soldier going nuts, Chikorita it is. Give him a hippie pear.

Btw one of the reasons I looked at Farfetch'd is that it can learn both Psycho Cut and Night Slash and reach 50% crit chance with them. So Dark and Psychic attacks would be covered.

I honestly have no idea why they chose this weird path for evolutions. Because it is pretty obvious some of this stuff is related to giving you early evolution items(Not sure why slap event with NPCs instead of just leaving the evo item laying around). But some pokemon like Golem or Machamp, they could just have changed their level to evolve to 36-38 instead of requiring an item. Even the randomizer tool has an option for that.

Pretty sure you have to actually go there to be forced into it. Even if the scene trigger was at the entrance to the park(the Pokeathalon place is next door), you can actually just go back around to the intersection from the Violet City side.

I was going to suggest Remoraid/Octillery as the dedicated battleship, but I looked it up and saw that you can't get Remoraid until after Surf is necessary to progress.

I still think you should eventually get it, though. Remoraid has the appearance of a revolver, Octillery a cannon. What's more American than a fish that's also a gun?

Also, what is your current party? Looking back, the only screenshot I see of your entire party is before Whitney.

There was a protest in France where a community did that. It only worked because their protest and despise of the government was stronger than their human nature to be selfish and not aid the common goal.

Unfortunately, this won't happen again because human stupidity is about as infinate as the amount of police officers/SWAT in washington in payday 2, or those who aren't familiar with that, the amount of zubats in Mt Moon/Rock Tunnel

Yeah, they modded some pokemon with a better movepool or with tutor moves. But when I got a deeper look into it with a program it ends up with a shitload of filler and bad moves for some other pokemon, Solymr knows what I am talking about. Gravity is a move you end up seeing a lot on their movepool, and I still can't forget about Deoxys learning shit like mirror coat and counter at level 90.

What are water type pokemon doing in a fire based area? I get that it's supposed to be the dragon gym or something, but still, theres some dissonance between the pokemon type and the lava filled pits.

That's cause Kingdra is Water/Dragon, and an absolute menace even in regular play because only Dragon is super effective against it. We only beat it cause Swagger doubles my mon's attack and Payback is a fantabulous move.

Yeah, they stepped up on difficulty in this hack and the other hack they made-Volt White. Probably more on the latter as most of gym battles were double/triple or even rotations, which obviously punished your team way harder because their team comp were made to work along with the pokemon in the field.

I did some checking around from that bit about the Magnet Train, its stated speed of 340MPH is about 0.1 mile per second. Also, the scene that plays in HGSS(at least, based on a Youtube video of it) is about 11 seconds long, meaning that the player travels 1 mile during that cutscene before it cuts to them exiting the train. However, the real-life distance between Tokyo and Osaka(the real-life locations of Saffron and Goldenrod respectively) according to Google Maps is about 250 miles. Not sure why I did this, it's just random trivia.

I actually did check its base stats, it isn't "op", they made it viable/useful now. It is pretty much a glass cannon, as it has high attack/speed but abysmal defense. Which is kinda why you see Farfetch'd getting KO'd pretty often if it doesn't OHKO. Unfortunately they didn't bother changing too many of the booty-tier pokemon though, I saw a bunch that still have a pathetic base stats and/or moveset.

I found out I need to edit each move in Emerald to have physical or special property after applying the patch myself, so it may be a while until I figure out a way to test if I'm doing it right.
