It's been known to happen. More than once.
Not as often as not managing to download/install the save properly due to Drunk, though.

So... That miner cant cling up. Seens like he doenst have a way up. We Don't have any miners to clean the way for him, nor spare picks for spare peasants. I will melt some crosbows and some metals itens to make picks to save the miner to dig deeper

The dwarve caravan has arrived. I can't get the miners to work I don't know why. We Don't seens to have any metal to make more picks. Now with the dwarves we may get some more metal to make picks to save shorukker, and keep diging.

I made another metting hall. As soon the dwarves evacuated the area I forbid the doors. I still Dont know were the water is coming from
