That's really bizarre, and kind of completely awesome. Very dwarfy indeed.

Those are probably how Engravings look in-game.

I got bored the other day, and decided to draw some procedurally generated critters. Unfortunately I'm an idiot who deleted the saves these came from, so I don't know their names or specific details.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
A forest titan. I think it was a towering sauropod with downy feathers, 4 antennae, 2 long tails and deadly spittle.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
A bloaty birdy demon. I remember it having deadly blood, which is why it has random arteries everywhere. Makes it easier to bleed all over everything and make them melt.

I really like the titan generic, and the demon's pretty good too.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

.O.!!!  Isn't he the main character?

I'm glad to see so much new stuff in here. I don't have anything new, but here is that goblin:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

She is posing in order to depict as much of her armor as possible.  The idea isn't really complete yet.  I'm having trouble working out how the ears will fit in a helmet, and whether it's worth trading coverage for ventilation.  Based on what I've read, and experienced, armor doesn't really slow people down. It does interfere with perception (helmets and gloves/gauntlets) and heat dissipation, though.  I was trying to work out a compromise.  I'm guessing that the more chaotic the fight is, the more coverage you will need.  When you can see attacks coming, they can be avoided, but if your senses are overwhelmed, armor will likely be the only defense.  I haven't decided if I want to do long noses, or not.

Also, my monitor settings seem to be kind of wonky.  Sometimes the brightness, contrast, and color are very different from other times.  The picture is much brighter, and less blue than I remember.

I remain unrepentantly attracted to her. I thus demand more. I am now modifying my image of goblins to all look like her, delightfully androgynous males and those females. Which is lovely. They're also violent, brutal and psychotic, which is a little less attractive.

Nice one, not sure when I'll be feeling like killing a baby but these things are good to know.

Not anymore.   8)  He'll probably be a ghost later, though.

Could you make one of her wrestling with that dwarf?  (The one you thought was a little off.)

Also, GenericOverusedName, that titan is pretty cool.  I always imagine "feathered" titans looking really awkward, so this is nice.

I'm a bit obsessed with birds and feathered theropods, and draw them all the time. It is hard to make feathers look good, but practice helps.  :D

look at that goblin and notice one simple flaw.
she can't be all that conferrable in high heels.

also she a nice candidate for the Goblin rescue squad.

Yes. DF is a game of realism- perhaps sensible shoes might make more sense.
