Speaking of stuff on the ground disappearing, meat and corpses lying around should really disappear. All those hordes of coyotes, wolves, cougars and bears would strip any accessible corpse to nothing in less than a night. Not to mention all the giant mutated spiders.

Rotten food should also be reduced to nothing after a week or two.
I can see meat and corpses, but I'm not too sure about the zombie corpses. There might be something about the tainted flesh that they don't like that stops them from eating them.

You do certainly have a point about rotten meat there though.

Yeah, zombies should stay around. It'd be cool if zombies that had begun to rot before reviving would be slower and more fragile once revived and would leave a rotten corpse when killed, though. That way you could kill them over and over until they stay dead long enough to rot away.

In the last version in the main screen i see "focus":99
It's the replacement for the XP system. I think it acts as a multiplier for how fast your skills are trained. So 99 is 99% experience per action or something.

I hadn't played in a while and I'm now greatly enjoying the new version with all the new buildings, items and vehicles on streets.
Thanks devs.

Well for those of you who have been following my Cataclysm LP, today marks the day that Dapper McJester moves up in the world. Hence forth he shall be known as Dr Dapper McJester, with a PhD in messing up his genetics with home cooked mutagens.

I'm sure his parents would be proud... if, you know, they weren't almost certainly zombies by now, or at the very least, zombie food.

Just got back from the worst trip of my life, and this is an awesome thing to come back to. I already started catching up. Keep it up.

Added a teaser image for one of the kickstarter rewards as the new website header. Among other tweaks.

Optimized SDL version is up now!!! It should be much faster on older computers.

It's based on the latest nightly build, so saves from 0.5 won't be compatible. A myriad of changes, I see some CBM crafting as well.

Edit: A lot of players are getting their hackles up at the new fixedsys font. To change it back, open up the FONTDATA file in the data directory with a text editor.
Change:
Code: [Select]
fixedsys816to
Code: [Select]
Terminus
8
16
To get the old font back.

If saves from 0.5 don't work, the file shouldn't be called 0.5

military black box????
Yeah, I got one too. Not sure what to DO with them, they seem useless. Still, it looks cool, so I am keeping one in my safe house.

I found one of those in a helicopter crash.  Unfortunately I was caught out in the open.

The black boxes are a new quest item. Not sure if the quest is implimented in the newest versions yet. Maybe turn on NPC's and see.

I carry around a couple radios just in case I run into worms.  Turn it on, chuck it, and they'll swarm it while you run away.  Good times.
