Roguelegends: Dark Realms , is a dark fantasy, cosmic horror, ascii  roguelike with an eternal darkness style sanity system and unique win conditions for each class.

It takes place in an evocative, lore-filled dark fantasy world, taking inspiration from games such as Ultima Ratio Regum, Dwarf Fortress, Overlord, the tabletop game Silent Legions, and the works of H.P. Lovecraft.

The game uses a complex procedural generation system,
First it generates the monsters, gives them names, interesting features and so on,
It generates cannon fodder monsters, magic monster's, and FB style monsters, Vermin, and many more.
Then it generates engravings, statues, and paintings based on all these creatures and the lore of the world and so on.
It results in a pretty rich feeling dungeon. Anyway, if you have a chance, do check it out. I've been developing it since 2014 so.

Nobody will take your game seriously if you can't even take the time to use proper grammar in your thread title.
Other than that, the idea looks cool, though the blog has little to grab my eye.

The single missing apostrophe which you believe will make nobody take the game seriously has been fixed.

-_-

Still a lot of work to do but I have procedurally generated creatures, vermin and many other things in the game already.

This is awesome, but you really, really need to drive home the features some more. I just thought it would be a generic coffeebreak roguelike like Brogue, but with some procgen monsters. I had no idea that the procgen monsters have their own behaviors, that some are territorial and predatory, and others won't bother you unless you bother them. If I knew that, I'd have played it months ago.

Also, it would help a lot if the e'x'amine cursor gave you a brief description of what terrain you move it over. I don't know the difference between a yellow dot or a white dot, or what a red 7 with a white background is.

If you mouse over stuff it tells you what it is but it ignores terrain. Also thank you. Yeah i should mention that.

Finally got around to trying this after downloading it the other day, and pretty much the first thing I did was wander down a tunnel and pick up a book, apparently a somewhat meta guide to the game itself, and, upon figuring out how to interact with the items in my inventory, hitting the '0' key and eating it.

10/10 would use the one resource that might have helped me learn to survive as a snack again.
I actually lol'd when that happened. Mmm, book bindings.

So I gave this a try and I really liked it. Even though the first thing I did was accidentally choke to death on my own armor, which was funny but not particularly thematic. Selecting different items in the inventory screen using the mouse is kinda weird, I keep selecting one of the options instead if I try clicking directly on it, which was how my very first action in the game was trying to eat my squire's armor when I was just trying to examine everything in my inventory.

9/10 would perish in incomprehensible alien dimensions again.

Maybe try a different class? They impact things very significantly. Also USE YOUR RUNES!
Even the push rune increases your survival significantly since you can knock enemies into walls and stunlock them and such. You have to use your runes if you want to get anywhere.

Do you mean you couldn't select new items? Can you explain this a bit more maybe with a screenshot. Might be a new bug with the changes i made to inventory a couple releases ago and if it is i can probably fix it pretty fast. This is the first time i've heard of this issue (which is why more people should be willing to give feedback)
Glad you are enjoying it though!

EDIT:

OH! I found the bug! ill throw out a bug fix right now with this. Sorry for the UI inconvenience. I wish someone had pointed this out earlier!

Well, in the bag screen, the items are listed along the left, and actions to be done with this items along the right. I clicked on my armor, then clicked on examine, read that, then right clicked to get out of the examine window and back to the bag screen. The armor is still selected. Then I click on one of my other items along the left side to try to select it, but instead the game interprets this as clicking on an action, I shove my armor down my throat and die.

Just start a new game, make a human squire, then use mouse controls to open the bag, select the squire armor, then try to select the rusty sword. This will result in death.

Another thing I noticed that's not directly related is I think when you close the bag with an item selected, that item will still be selected if you open the bag by pressing [B] on the keyboard, but not if you click on the bag button. Not exactly a big problem but it's odd.

As of the latest version, I've had a lot of issues with monsters that can't harm me in any way, but also I can't harm them. I wind up occasionally being boxed in by them and just made stuck, as they can't kill me.

Try using runes or elemental weapons to kill them? Sometimes monsters don't have the damage necessary to hurt you through your armor. But I give each class elemental damage items/runes and unresisted damage abilities to deal with them. For example if you are a squire or librarian you have the torch and your runes. The torch does fire damage.
You can see the monster's stats when you examine them by right clicking or using x and selecting them. Generally they will be weak to some kind of damage. (if the monsters you are talking about are cyan for example, they are weak to elemental damage)

Also smashing them into walls with runes does unresistable damage. And acid damage also cannot be resisted. Also kicking things down onto them (like statues) does unresisted damage to them if they are adjacent. If that all doesn't work, a screenshot of one of the monster's descriptions would help. (right click on them or use x and move the cursor ove rthem and press enter)

The fact that I just now crashed reminds me that I've had some crashed before, which might have been a more serious issue to report than the item switching thing, but having my game window just close isn't as memorable as spawning in and then choking to death on my own armor, so I forgot. :v

This time I crashed trying to go down stairs in the second level of the second dungeon section. It was a forest area with a bunch of trees.
Before I've had a crash trying to examine a gremlin in the arena.

Thanks, that's basically what i'm going for, for this Friday's changelog I have already added generated win conditions based on your faction choice/other skirmish settings so I can add "have any goal" to that.

It would take quite awhile to explain all the classes. However for races we have Humans (no advantage or disadvantage but very adaptable), Elves (Long armed humanoids adapted to the forests that eat leaves and fruit), Hobbits (They are actually basically super short yetis of the north with lots of fur (they are basically short furry yetis), and a penchant for charisma and curiosity.), Dwarves which are tough creatures that love alcohol as dwarves do, that are adapted to life in the caves and have terrible eyesight (almost none, as living in caves does not require this because there is no light in caves for eyes to work with) and bad concentration but high tenacity.
And the goblins! The original civilization builders in this world who are about as tall as humans but with strange proportions and mutations as a result of whatever mysterious thing caused their civilizations collapse. whos empire collapsed long ago, with a penchant for magic and cleverness.

For classes, here's the list of them. I don't have time to get into detail about all of them like I did for the races, but every single class without an * have one or many unique story based win conditions.
