I have received a request to create a private Mun Consortium channel for the discord. Who all should be placed in it?

The Mun Rum has been created on the discord.  Varying tiers of membership have also been applied for those members.

Due to conflict about how contractless ships should be governed by their shareholders, I have created a poll to allow players to vote on how best this issue should be handled.

The poll will close after 48 hours.

Essentially, at this point, it can't work out other than "unanimous" if the game is meant to be worth playing. This could reasonably change over time or by contract.

Why?

Majority decisions are typically how it works anyway.

Why?
Because simple majority rules reduces the importance of politics and makes it too easy for a cabal to run individual players out of the market. In contrast, our small and even start makes it impractical for individual players to use unanimity rules predatorily without wiping out their own investment: nobody individually has enough money to risk on that.

Quite the opposite, I can now buy one share in each of the other ships with let's say 40^, and block every decision without much cost.

Someone asked what would happen in the [unlikely] event all 100 shares are not bid on during an auction.

In the event of unpurchased shares at the end of an auction, I (an NPC) will buy the remainder for the minimum bid.  I'll defer on all my votes and will consider selling those shares at a later date - likely with considerable markup on the price.

You can't buy one share of any ship. At a minimum of 5 shares for the smallest set-of-shares order, you'd be paying ^200 for that privilege. To then repeat this on every ship would cost you ^1800. You don't have ^1800.

Not sure how you got ^1800 but fair argument, still, for majority it would require either many people to do this for all ships or a few people to invest even more, so it's still would be harder to cut someone out.
