Did you try putting the coffins behind doors? I think you need to do that now- so a 1x2 space in total off the hallway.

I didn't visit the shelter of adventurers either because of the lag. It was truly astoundingly awful, and I usually tolerate goblin pits and towers. I think the creature spam issue with adventurer camps is the main blame in many cases. The caverns fill up with critters you can't reach/find to kill and another group spawns each time you reload the site, whether sleeping or travelling or building. Pik and Desli's camps included, but I didn't do much with them and made a new one every time and they don't get visited often.

It would be better having a small player fort for players to retire in. One linked to a civ that doesn't have a bunch of civilians we care about losing if werebeast or vampire characters migrate to one of their other sites.

If the problem is lots of creatures, why not just hit them with DF Hack’s Exterminate command? In combination with Reveal naturally…

Am able to confirm DT is unable to communicate with the Steam version of DF. DT at least knows DF is open, but that seems to be all at first glance.

I'm sure I'll find out once the game releases soon, but will there be any way to import my current Fortress into the Premium version and be able to see it with graphics? Thank you!
No. This is a breaking update. First one since 2014 I think, but it still means it will not be compatible with existing saves.

Ha ha, I don't have anything to add to the discussion.  We do have gods that made slabs somehow, so there are possibilities even without relying on stone anvils, molds, etc.

In a Watsonian sense, how do you think a DF world gets its first anvil, given how you, in gameplay, need a forge to make an anvil... And you need an anvil to build a forge.
That is simple. A dwarf makes the First Artifact Anvil out of some other material. From there, the forging of the first regular anvil can be accomplished and sent out into the world.
Except to make an artifact anvil, you need a metalworking mood... Which can only be carried out at a forge, so you're back where you started.

Well, I’m pretty sure the current Museum game went back an age thanks to the reanimated feathers of a Roc, but that’s a megabeast, so that’s something to consider… Might as well take care of the necromancers themselves at any rate… Assuming you can figure out some way to get to them with all the inevitable lag from all those zombies…

Oh... It just occurred to me... Those two haven't taken up residence in a ruined fortress or something, have they? I'm not sure if they'll leave if they have, and the wiki is no help on the matter, having looked at the pages for Forgotten Beasts, Titans, Megabeasts in general, and Ruins. Including the discussion pages thereof.

Something like that seems likely. Maybe the goblins took the Mountainhome? You should be able to find out via the “C” screen the next time the Outpost Liason comes.

So (According to the Wiki) that would require mundane civilized creatures- so basically just humans- to make up between %90 and %99.9999999... percent of the civilized population, but not %100. Given that humans are currently the second least populous species in your world, you have your work cut out for you. You'll also have to kill that Swamp Titan of course.
