I just generated a new world, using the Martial Arts mod(Probably unrelated, but might as well mention it) and there is a huge yellow mountain range in the northwest corner of the map. I'm looking at it in the world map and it's at least 15% of the map. There's also a massive desert in the middle.
The question though, is why is the mountain range yellow? Does it have something to do with Has--*Explodes*

I think it's because the mountain is "made" out of sandstone or something.
All the yellow mountains i have ever seen contains sandstone.

On the world map I believe the yellow mountains are good aligned, purple are evil.
Same happens with oceans too but with different colors.
-
Yep, yellow mountains are good areas and purple ones are evil. Same for the other terrain types, like you'll sometimes see bright green or bright blue forests - those are good aligned as well.
-
I was wondering why I'd never seen good mountains, yellow seems like an odd color.
-
I don't think Light Blue could of been used. I think that's for frozen mountains, or something, but I'm not sure. =)

While on the topic: The majority of the pocket worlds I have generated have a single, evil ocean covering half of the map. I am not opposed to an evil ocean in the least, but I can't stand the sludge-brown color.
Is there currently a way to specify the colors used for world map terrain? Aside from changing evil oceans, I really want to make red sand deserts dark red. (They currently look like lakes of lava to me.)

Yeah, it turns out my giant desert is an evil ocean, called the Water of Lurking. That name screams Cthulhu.

My latest pocket world had no elves and both mountain ranges were volcanic. Its a dream come true :D
