Morgred is going to need some lucky rolls to get out of this...

EDIT: Looks like death isn't coming for him today. Barely.

Generally speaking, when facing off against three armed swordsmen, it's not a good idea to turn away and attack some other people. You lived, thanks to armor, high stats, good rolls, and the fact that your character got royally pissed and pulled a limit break off against one of the aggressors.

Either way, the survivors surrendered.

Ross, why did my mana run out so fast from that fire magic? I would have assumed it would have lasted a least a bit longer, given that I have both a feat and a critical trait in fire magic.

Oh, my bad, I accidentally counted your fire spell twice and had you cast once. Hurr de durr, XP bonus for you. That's what I get for not getting enough sleep. >___<

On the positive side, I'm now employed as a result of having gotten up early, so there's that.

Generally speaking, actions of hirelings fall under your control. I will over-ride anything that is a violation of common sense, though.

If they are mind-controlled or summons, then sucks to be them, because I'm sure not going to save them.

Can you just imagine it from the perspective of the bandits? They have a perfect ambush set up and are ready to steal everything, when suddenly things explode, your leader is killed because one of your friends made a careless error, an angry screaming dwarf starts cutting through them, the winged dude is completely ignoring whatever damage they're doing, the creepy dude in a robe is summoning the souls of the damned, and their weapons can't even hit people directly in front of them? All while a little voice in their head is telling them they're doomed?

And then a few moments later, bodies everywhere, the mages are dead or trapped, the robe guy just gets visibly pissed off and one-shots the strongest guy in the group into dust and bones, the angel is just mocking people by not even bothering to attack anymore because everyone else is slaughtering them, and even a member of the people you ambushed is horrified by it?

The reason they're surrendering is because they're terrified.

Just like any good adventuring party!
Plus I'm considering cutting most of their throats and leaving a few to go free, albeit with removed fingers.

It wouldn't be too far a stretch of the imagination to assume a follower of Mingan could make armour and weapons out of blood, bones and souls, right?

Blood and bones, yes.

Souls are harder to do, and require certain conditions. The middle of a desert is not one of them at this time.
