1 MP Used. Speaking to the child's mind taxes your powers a little, but it is a child, and children are malleable.
Eve seems slightly surprised and opens the cage, taking you into her arms and stroking your forehead. You make a mental note to never mention this to anyone, when you become supreme God of the Universe.
Well I think the most efficient way of bending reality is by working on something that would happen anyway.
After doing the above action radiate a aura of adorableness. Not too much but enough to affect the psychically susceptible such a children.

talk to the chief, "im am the guardian angel of this child and should you lay a finger apon her the wrath of the heavens will descend apon you."I dont know, talking to adults could be hard. Maybe we could possess the rabbit and bite the people who are dragging eve. In the balls.

I hope we not break law three....but I don't think I will mind if we do......a sort of selfless sacrifice/rule of cool make a good story. maybe enough to give law 3 a big "take that!" and survive anyways.

Wow, the law of equivalence stings. Yeah, let's make a deal with a devil. At this point we're almost dead anyway, and Law #1 means it's only a matter of time until we are - we might as well stretch that out as long as we can.

Accept the sacrifice and make the form of a rabbit in the flames of the fire to show that we are listening.
+1. Illusory images in flames shouldn't bend the rules too much, flames create lots of flickering light anyway. I'm not sure how we 'repay' that short of stopping the image eventually.+1 Maybe we should give it an aura to attract more rabbits. After all rabbits are a good complimentary form of food, and since we are god of Killer Rabbits we should help in the destruction and enslaving of weaker rabbits. Also tell our lovely girl to domesticate fierce and aggressive rabbits.
Accept the sacrifice and make the form of a rabbit in the flames of the fire to show that we are listening.

And what senses do rabbits have?

What about a large sacrifice of ferrets, badgers, stoats, foxes and snakes?
Can we at least guide her hunting? Or is this gonna be a "you must walk alone" thing?
That's what I thought. How shit is she at hunting?
Same at trapping I guess?
And giving her some skill would cost alot i guess?
Well I suppose she could just get weaselkin. They are the least dangerous if you have a large rock. I'm gonna keep Fluffy in reserve for now. The more attached she gets the stronger it'll be. It'll make a great failsafe.
Is it possible to hold off on the cost? Like give the senses to her and then she hunts and sacrifices.
The plan:I think rabbit power is more conductive to fleeing, more like. Pity we aren't a fox god or something.

Cause the fire to burn larger and brighter than it would naturally, and produce more smoke. With this smoke and fire produce Eve's face, but as an adult and beautiful. Her hair blows in a non-existent wind and the face breaks into many smoke rabbits that bound out before each running towards a villager and dispersing into nothing.Let's do it.
Then tell them how we will protect and watch over the survivors as their patron diety and in exchange they must pray to us.

I knew mine was a good idea!
What if we possess Eve and we show how we can control rabbits, to show the "powers" of our god?
Can we at least speak through her?
First we speak with her saying "Admire the power of my god!"
Then we... someone tell me.
Btw, did we get more powerful with that last sacrifice, or we are like before but shes stronger? Will she still have rabbit senses or we will have to spend moar mana?
Is our name a big deal? Like can we not be Fluffy anymore?
Why do you want us so much to mutilate ourselves? We dont want our only avatar to be without one arm or something.
If we manage to get someslavesworshippers, we should go hunt with them to get more dead stuff to sacrifice.
+1 to this.
Let Eve handle the speaking. Have her tell her tale to those assembled, and let them decide whether or not to believe.
Why not have Eve name us instead?
She did so the first time, so perhaps she should have the honors to give us a new name. I'd let her speak as well. These people... They're really not all our people yet. I say we have Eve talk about her experience with us. We have no connection to these people and they do not know of us. We cannot trust them to trust us blindly. But they know Eve. And while she is young, she is our Avatar. So...
Let Eve handle the speaking. Have her tell her tale to those assembled, and let them decide whether or not to believe.
Say the following to Eve:
"As Fluffy I watched over you. Now, as Arlore I watch over these people. Speak child, and tell them of what I have done."
Now it's talky time. "We were there. We may be a God but we believe in Truth and will willingly admit that even we had limits. We waited and gathered power to expend on altering the course of things. But we were always with you. And now like rabbits from their warren We Rise. We Gather. We Prosper!

this sounds good.
do you guys think its safe to reveal the nature of gods?
born from belief. fed by belief. or d you think that's risky?
I think our first big mistake was thinking that we could save all of these people at once. We can barely save Eve as it is. The way I see it, this woman is absolutely correct. We haven't done anything. What proof do we have that we can give them salvation when we are the lowest rung on the totem pole? One shouldn't make promises they can't keep. We've made promises we cannot fully keep.
I say we acknowledge her claims, and ask that whoever still wishes to join us to do so. We shouldn't act as a big fish when we're really just a shrimp.
its to soon to assume that this person can lead them away from us, it seems that most are convinced to follow us.
if there faith is based on deception, it will only hit harder if they leave.
we need to talk our way thorough this. after a few turns if she is still not convinced, a good "if you do not wish to follow me then leave" might suffice.
that's what I am saying, but we have to fight with words, not flashy effects and smiting. we don't have the energy to waste.its to soon to assume that this person can lead them away from us, it seems that most are convinced to follow us.

Fair enough, but we have to put up a fight lest we project weakness.
>Have Eve ask to speak to her in private, then explain the situation and ask that she please play along, because these people need what little power we can get, and we can only get it through them believing we have a lot more than that.
I apologize if this wasn't clear but I meant to speak directly through her.
"Because you can go fuck yourself. Later."
Leave. Those that believe will follow.
I think we should just tell her (via Eve) that she's welcome to not worship us in silence, but if she insists on being an obstacle then she can leave.

Tell Eve that she must pledge her future strength to the new tribe and give absolute trust onto Eve. She must also promise that her son shall also pledge as soon as he is ready.
One day when this pledge will be over and the tribe will be restored with Eve as their leader. They must swear now in front of all and dishnoring their oath shall mean their death and eternal damnation to the Wolves of hell.
Tell Eve that we forgive her for we are a kind god and can understand her pain. Use Sense Kindness to locate a village of kind or relatively kind people.

So a few guys stroll up and say a war's starting and Eve wants to join no questions asked. Considering her boredom, I'd say this feeling of hers is just her wanting to go and do something, rather than specifically wanting to be a warrior. As the avatar of the God of Rabbits, she wouldn't do well in this regard, but she could certainly find her place as a healer. With our powers as a god, she will become famous and respected through her deeds.
Encourage Eve to join the army is a healer.
We're the God of Rabbits. Something tells me she's not gonna be a great warrior. Maybe we could get her married to a king or something. That should get her the crown we said she'd have.

Comfort the mom, we're stealing her daughter after all. Sending a rabbit is of little consequence I should think.
The other figure is likely another god. We did see them after escaping the conquering tribe, in the God of Deals and the God of Lies. This, judging from the sound of clashing metal, could likely be a Goddess of Combat or Warfare, or something akin to that. At minimum, greet her, but as she is far more powerful than us, maintain courtesy.

I like dis idea.....That wasn't marriage, that was (almost) rape.
But don't force or pressure her, be VERY subtle about it. We don't want her getting upset at what almost happened years back.

With our heightened rabbit senses, we can shoot more accurately at vital points at an enemy from a distance and more rapidly, allowing us to take down a number of enemies before they even reach us. Further, with enhanced rabbit speed, we can outrun pursuers, or even outmaneuver them should they catch us.
Also, after the war, if Eve survives (hopefully) we should get her married and have a child, or at least something. Creates a bloodline with a direct connection to us as a god, which increases dedication and legitimacy. If that bloodline becomes more powerful and they remember us, then we become equally more powerful.

Yes to what is said. Except sending the rabbit to remind her of her dauthers faith.
Eve is our Avatar. Our Prophet, our Sibyl.
We are a humble God and must bend our backs from time to time, yes, but Eve is our charge. We will not lend her out like a cheap whore to further our own goals - what sort of a Deamon is a God who would so easily trade his followers like cattle for coin? Decline Ishtar's offer with all the grace and dignity befitting a Goddess of her stature.
She can't guarantee Eve's safety. I would agree, but under the catch that she not allow Eve to die or be seriously mutilated. To ask our avatar without any remote guarantee of safety is very... risky.
Further, do we know if she doesn't lie? If she lies she may just keep Eve. She's our only real connection currently.
And, also, remember to comfort the mother.
Aww, I was kinda hoping this one wouldn't die just yet...

What does Eve look like, by the way? I gathered she has black hair...?
Also, this is the pre-Ancient Era, right? Eve is a common levy, she won't be given an expensive sword or axe, or even armor. She'd most likely be given a bronze spear and maybe - MAYBE - if she's lucky, a wicker shield. That's fine, though. A spear is a more fitting weapon for the Prophet of Rabbit God. Swift, precise, relying more on agility and sharp reflexes than brute force, a testament to her superior hand-eye coordination and able to overcome much stronger and better-clad enemies.
Oh! And before I forget, if we're going to increase our sphere of influence, we might want to branch out into something similar to our existing domain. Maybe next we'll put all land creatures under our domain? Then all wildlife, then the forests, and the hunters, etc.
To Eve's mom:
(If we have enough MP) Grant her a small artifact, a small chain necklace with a charm/pendant on it. The pendant is shaped to a rabbit, and we use some of our power to grant its wearer the ability to be highly persuasive.
In accordance with the covenant grant grant Eve the Rabbit's Blessing of speed and awareness.
im more in favor of keeping eve free from sickness and infection.
I mean sure we already would probably do that anyways but having it as part of a covenant should make it easier on us. and if we give her a pendant to use to spread the faith, she is technically giving more than we are. (cuts of hair, AND taking time out of her day to preach)
so keeping eve from getting sick is fairer, because sickness and infection is probably going to be an issue in the wars, and since she wants eve home safe one day, this is likely to be more favorable.
also consider what happens when the other soldiers notice eve never gets sick. we might get new converts because they see that we are willing to grant protection.

Also send a messege to Eve recognizing her strength and ambition. As well as inform her of her mothers convenent as well as her new boon. We expect nothing but greatness from her.
So? Divine blessings have surprisingly similar properties to dakka. In accordance with the covenant grant grant Eve the Rabbit's Blessing of speed and awareness.
Already have that.
Let's start small - Covenent wherein the followers cut their hair, so long as their daughters and sons are brought home safe from war?
I'd say that would let us spread our dominion to encompass all rodents, not just rabbits. Mice, rats, ferrets; all small quick furred creatures lend their black eyes and sharp ears to the God Alore. So long as their Coventry remains true, we will not want for Spies and Saboteurs. Have the mother spread her story to others in the village and beseech them to join.
At the very least, it'll keep the rats out of the camp supplies. It'd be pretty cool if we could have our covenent members see a mouse for every day they follow the Covenent, to help remind them of their vow and renew their faith. All it's missing is a catchy name.To Eve's mom:
(If we have enough MP) Grant her a small artifact, a small chain necklace with a charm/pendant on it. The pendant is shaped to a rabbit, and we use some of our power to grant its wearer the ability to be highly persuasive.
Are we strong enough to be poofing Artifacts yet? It might be easier and more effective to bless charms and mementos of believers. Although I do like the idea of making Mother of Eve a more central character to our new-found religion...maybe she starts recording The Gospel of Eve and spreading the faith?

It's a long-term investment.
Healing is a lackluster power - useful, but it's not flashy, which is what we need to help cement her position as the Sibyl of Alore. "Oh wow, she didn't die from a sucking chest wound!" doesn't quite carry the same impact as "Her arrows are unfalteringly accurate, no matter the conditions" or "she called down the hawks from the heavens and the rats from the earth to smite her foes". Maybe some warg abilities? "See through the eyes of wild beasts"?
How about healing in a slightly different sense. The regeneration of nature. We could expand eventually beyond rabbits and small animals to all wild creatures, and our most devout followers are given the endurance and resilience of nature; including the ability to recover from disastrous wounds. Given time, nature takes back what is hers. As a forest grows back after a wildfire, our followers surge back from the brink of death. I like the idea of becoming a god(dess) of nature.+1 to all above

...but we are not supposed to stay only the god of rabbits, our purpose is to expand and eventually become the god of everything.
The way I see it, we have four options:Fair points. Plus I like the Stillness power, +1
1) Buff the Religion (aka our Sphere)
2) Buff the Followers (aka mom)
3) Buff the Sibyl (aka Eve)
4) Buff ourselves (aka Alore)
Though we definitely need to expand our sphere of influence, let's try to keep this new power within the realm of our existing sphere for now.
What are rabbits good at? That's right, matinghiding! Since we seem determined to use our new power to buff Eve, we could gain the ability to grant Stillness; so long as the recipient remains motionless, enemy eyes will pass right over her. She's a scout, after all. Stealth and Perception are pretty high in demand for her at the moment. Stillness would come in handy more often than "recover from sucking chest wound". Though I admit I do like the idea of "The Resilience of Nature", we DEFINITELY need a bigger sphere before we can grant that as a passive power to all our followers.

You can add a poll to the thread, you know.

Would the nature regen have like vines growing over the wound and then glowing and falling away to reveal unblemished flesh? Because that'd be dope.
We neither need answers nor does Eve require any kind of gift.Do we need it? No. Do i have a chronic need to gamble and risk? Yes!
The stakes are uneven. Three questions or an indeterminate gift versus an indeterminate favor? The pot is stacked in her favour, and that's without even knowing the nature of the bet we're taking. It's a cruel, idle, bored god who gambles with the lives of men.+1
...and yet...
Maybe I'm just feeling risky tonight, but my gut says take it. Who dares, wins, right? She'll owe us three answers or a gift, and nothing says we have to ask those questions now.
Take the bet, but Eve is off the table.
"My Sibyl is not a prize to be won or lost. You may take whatever favor you wish should you win, so long as Eve remains untouched."
Edit: Do we even know what we would ask, should we win and choose the answers? If we can't come up with 3 significant questions, I say we take the gift. An Artifact from the literal God of War would be the best buff we could possibly give her for now.
I'm trying to imagine how Eve would react, knowing her god was betting on the lives of men like common dice. I think that if we made any bet, it would be Eve versus Ishtar's champion - any other bet would be unjust and ill-fitting for a god such as ourselves.+1 Ask Eve her opinion before betting on her.
You excuse yourself from the company of the Gods for but a moment. Like a feather drifting from the heavens, your presence alights on Eve's shoulder, a neigh imperceptable weight that she feels immediately. "Child of Alore," you whisper into her mind. "Now the time has come. A rare opportunity is presented before you; an Artifact from Ishtar, Goddess of War and Love. A powerful item, Her Blessing, Her Pardon, Her Key to Her House - this shalt be yours, should you choose to take it. But be wary, child. Nothing can be gained without Something, and this Something is the life of an Enemy. You are young, yes, but your hands are steady and your Heart is Fire. You may choose to spare this unknown soldier, or you may choose to slay, but whatever choice you make know that I, your God, Alore, will be with you always. You do not fight alone.
What is thy choice, Mortal?"
It is surprisingly difficult to draw a female disgused as a male like a female. I need to go back and adjust the facial structure at some point. -_-
A big part of the additional boyish charm came frome the blood-caked eyes. Dark eye pits is a masculine feature, and I might have over done it
Tbc=?To be continued.
We promised her we would be with her.
^We promised her we would be with her.
It's gg if we lose Eve, but more importantly we'd be breaking our promise to her if she fails. We owe our very existence to her (afawk); true, it may be unseemly for a God to bow to a mortal, but I'm sure we can all agree that if it comes down to it we'd sacrifice ourself to save her.
Out the prayers of a small child you are blinked into existence. You are a personal god, what others call an "imaginary friend" or "guardian angel".Though we have grown in power, that is due only to Eve and the tribeswomen. Eve, the small child who coincidentally created us, is in danger. We must return the favor no matter the cost. The bet was folly to begin with, I only hope that whatever reward we get out of it is worth the cost.
Indeed, we must watch over eve as parents watch over there children. We must protect her. Her life is in a way more important than our own.I doubt that we will. But no matter how we save her, it will be costly.
If we cese to exsist let it not be said that we left no mark on this world. Let eve be a testament to our actions, let her do good in this world long after we have passed.
Asumeing we die in the first place,.
Wait, so did the spear connect? Either way, George is...right. Have Faith in Eve.
Also, good luck with your exam!!!

Ishtar promised to either answer three questions, or to grant Eve "a present, something to show she is welcome in her home".
Since I doubt we can form three meaningful questions, let's take the present. Eve deserves a concrete reward. An artifact from Ishtar, even a minor one, would go a long way to increasing Eve's life expectancy.
Also - nice work on the side story, bahihs. The beads was a nice touch.
Edit: and now that Eve's trial is done, burn an MP to dull her pain. As soon as she's safe, maybe resting in the medical tent, whisper in her ear that she's done well, and that we are proud of her. Then have her pray for the souls of the men she's slain, and remind her that it is no easy thing to take a life. Yet, a Queen must not fear to face the enemy; this is only the beginning, and she must remain strong and not waver. So spaketh Alore.

We've done all we can for Eve. She will not perish from her wounds, and her stillness will not attract the eye of the enemy. We are needed elsewhere, by those she holds nearest and dearest; the followers whose faith keeps us strong. The firey, gossamer strand of the War Goddess's hair is a gift Eve should receive whilst conscious - hold onto it for the moment, and fly to the village.+1 The village needs us more than Eve, Eve is stable but will not be harmed by the enemy or die in our absence, though she will need our attention after we help the village.

I think before we give her the string we ought to find something special to make the bow it'self out of.
Form a large bonfire in front of the villagers, and use our fire-image powers to make it appear white. Tell them that we are no false god, and that by threatening your followers they have incurred your wrath. If they do not flee, or pledge themselves to us, make tongues of white fire reach out and burn/brand them, making them suffer as they would have made our followers suffer.+1

Extinguish torches, followed by giving her rabbit senses and possessing the bunny to lead her to safety.Oooo.. and then we could have them start a settlement composed of only our followers! Still though, I think we should do some smiting here, if only for the one woman.

Greet Glimikiwith the utmost respect that he would probably deserve.
From what I can gather, we burned literally all of our MP in that show of force and began to fade to nonexistance. Glimiki, in his infinite wisdom, saw fit to bring us back from the brink. I'd say we owe him a "thank you".

Although I'm literally certain the consensus was "Don't scorch them if they choose not to fight back"
As far as I'm concerned, that whole exchange was a resounding success.

Appear to Eve in a dream. Tell her of what happened in the village, and tell her we will protect her mother and her people while she is off to war. Tell her she did well, and that we are proud of her. Tell her that when she is well enough to hunt, find a fox and sacrifice it to us - from the ashes she will find a single, pure strand of fire, a hair from the Goddess of War herself. Tell her to string her bow with this strand, and know that all that she has, she has because she earned it.+1
Also, go spy on Gezaru while we wait on Eve. That little bugger is more than he seems - I wouldn't be surprised if he had a Patron too...
But isn't that just a normal godly action?
You know, I bet we could gain some kind of fire/flame sphere if we attempted. We should also probably try improving our public perception for the better.Ningala was one of our chief followers, after being our biggest dissenter. Grant the villager the ability to become one of our followers to show we are merciful.
Being harsh against 'enemies' is fine, but I think we crossed a line there. Maybe do some generous acts or even give some kind of way to let the branded person at least partially redeem themselves.

She murdered one of our followers. We spared her life.this ^
She came out ahead, as far as I care.
I'd just like to point out that "merely defended ourselves" is perhaps the most extreme understatement ever.
We melted someone's fast AFTER they surrendered.
That's like if someone broke into your house, you pointed a gun at them and they got on their knees with their hands up, then you shoot their legs and throw them out.

How exactly did we break reality?
Aren't we already in his debt? He dug Eve out of slavery back when we were too weak. (George is god of lies, isn't he? He's been friendly enough to us, but...he's the god of lies. I'm not sure we should trust him 100%)
I am weary of becoming indebted to two many of fellow gods at once, I already owe one debt, two if you count your father saving me from falling into the abyss of nothingness. but I am intrigued, who is being judged, and for what? what do you need my support for?

Return your focus to the village. Try to deal with the fall-out of our temper tantrum. Surely we've received some prayers from our followers, right?+1
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CONVERT THE VILLAGERS! DOING SO RIGHT NOW IS NOT GOOD FOR PR!I agree. Just for the record, I'm just saying we should manage the fallout - not score new followers. We freaked out our current ones pretty bad, after all.
I still think we should look to scouts in the army or hunters in the village. The deal we made with Eve include powers any scout or hunter would value.+1
Maybe for the village we could make the hunters more successful with finding small game, then give one of them a dream to sacrifice a kill for super rabbit powers.
Everyone likes more food on the table.
Also encourage Eve to speak with Gezaru. Maybe suggest he could find purpose in war and poetry by revealing all the realities of war in his art? Either way we should encourage them to rely on each other a bit.

We shouldn't keep all our assets in one place. If something else happens in the village and we lose all our followers, we would be screwed.
We are in the mesopotamian region at the appropriate time with an appropriate God. It would not be far fetched for Gilgamesh to pop up.
In a burst of flames, cause the head of the spear to pop off, any other lights around, turn them off, and with booming words "Mortal, do not attack my prophet, for it was my will for her to join, and if you want to be spared from my will, do no more harm." in a big ol' fatherly voice.
"You came out here to kill your comrade? Did I not fight manly enough for you to accept me as such?...
Besides you could have killed me while I bathed and not make me put my clothes on just to get bloodied. So what is it that will keep you quite? A kiss on the lips or..my blade in your throat?"
Said Eve as we tell her to get her sword readied.
Aside from some of the names, what makes you think we're in Mesopotamia?
Aside from some of the names, what makes you think we're in Mesopotamia?
The names, mentions of elephants, some of the war customs (painting eyes with blood), Ishtar (worshipped in the mesopotamia). Trees existed in that area, too. What makes you think we're not in the mesopotamia?
Do not intervene. Eve is capable, and she doesn't need us to make her auto-win every encounter. Stand by in case things go south, but see how she manages things herself.
...what does "Popularity (Death) Pole" mean...?

Why do get the feeling whoever you vote on will die?Who the hell are these Ikid and Bupolu guys anyways? If who gets voted dies, then fuck these guys.
If we went around smiting everyone Eve flashed her tits at, it would set a very bad precedent.
Eve is a capable individual. We'll be there when she needs it, but if we never let her fight her own battles then she's worse than useless. Hold back, see what she does. She's surprised us more than once before.

lets greet suha, a simple hello should sufice to start with.
Let's make a white bunny with red eyes appear. With uncanny similarity as fluffy. See what happens.but no conversation. we need to get better at doing things more subtly than just screaming at anyone who looks in our direction.
Let's make a white bunny with red eyes appear. With uncanny similarity as fluffy. See what happens.but no conversation. we need to get better at doing things more subtly than just screaming at anyone who looks in our direction.
I disagree, I think we're being too active. We don't need to influence everything - yes, the temptation to poof a rabbit and forcibly convert Suha is strong, but we're a God. That's not how we roll. We let our followers do their thing and support and guide them. If Eve calls for our blessing, THEN poof a rabbit. Until then, we don't need to poke our nose in.We cannot, physically, do everything.
Don't forget, we already made one miracle today - the strand of fire that Eve strung her bow with. We're not forgotten, and she knows we're always with her.
If Eve can open Suha to us, then I see no reason not to give him our blessing. He did not spill blood, and Eve chose to spare him. We stand beside Eve and her decision.Maybe a dream sequence.
Just mentally greet Suha by saying "Hello". Refrain from saying anything else.No no no, we are a GOD, we do not greet people with a "Hello" unless they are also gods.
Therefore we might establish a better connection with Suha. I imagine people aren't talking to gods on a regular basis, so it's gotta make an impression, and it's hard to not believe in it being a direct sign from a god, and not some coincidence like a bunny walking around in the forest.Just mentally greet Suha by saying "Hello". Refrain from saying anything else.No no no, we are a GOD, we do not greet people with a "Hello" unless they are also gods.
Send Suha a realistic and memorable dream about being a rabbit being chased by foxes then hiding in a den underground.+1 to this, if Suharabbit pushed into the safe den by Alore's rabbit avatar in the dream.
Should be cheaper then altering the real world and it might at least show him we have some power.
Also messing with mortals in non-lethal ways seems fun. Let's see how he interprets and reacts to the dream to learn more about him.

Do NOT interfere just yet! Eve needs to do her thing. No red-eyed rabbits, no fires, no mental communication. Just let Eve talk to him.FTFY.
THEN, once she's done, we can send Suha a rabbit dream. Until then, we would only muck things up by doing another "show of force".
I s2gu, we should have been the god of schizophrenics, not rabbits....
+ yesDo NOT interfere just yet! Eve needs to do her thing. No red-eyed rabbits, no fires, no mental communication. Just let Eve talk to him.FTFY.

Yes. This.
I highly doubt we can do that. We once used fire to burn a single person's face and almost disappeared from existence. It's not quite the same, though. We're leveraging existing fire, not creating new fire. Wood burns well naturally. As does brush. And this land does not seem humid.
Idea: Eve does her job as a scout and reports the advance and her allies don't get slaughtered.
As for the slave...I don't think we can save him. Maybe we can ease his pain, suffering, and passing?
"Reality" has a very specific meaning, which I will later elaborate on, in-game. For now, Icefire is more or less correct in his interpretation of the rules. The key here is perception. I'll leave it at that. So, we need to frame it the right way.
we need to get better at doing things more subtly than just screaming at anyone who looks in our direction.

To quote Futurama,
" Bender, being God isn't easy. If you do too much, people get dependent on you. And if you do nothing, they lose hope. You have to use a light touch, like a safecracker or a pickpocket.
Bender: Or a guy who burns down a bar for the insurance money.
God Entity: Yes, if you make it look like an electrical thing. When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all."

Does insurance fraud fall under the domain of Muta, God of Deals, or George, God of Lies?
Delay the approaching army with general mischief involving rabbits.Eat their stuff as they camp or whatever.
Buy some time for Eve's side to hold their meeting and unveil their superwepon. (I'm assuming they have some sort of ace up their sleeve...)

The updates are going to be coming a little slow for a bit (~3 weeks) as things have been a little hectic at school. The short of it is that a publication needs some major revision and we have a short deadline to do it.Take your time, thanks for posting to tell us what's going on.
Rest assured Arlore's quest is not at an end.
"The Storm comes. To run is to bend. To fight is to die.
Appear before Eve, if possible when she's with Suha (and possibly other worshiping scouts).+1 to this
If others are also present, add a bit of pyrotechnics and start by (needlessly) declaring yourself to Eve, "I am thy god Arlore". This is, of course, for their benefit, and it shouldn't even be so hard on reality since they should expect at least as much from a deity's appearance. ;)
"Beloved of Arlore, The Storm Comes. To stand fast against the flood is to drown, to bend is to live. The wise rabbit always knows where the nearest brambles are". Fade to nothing as if you were never there, and follow George to the council.
This public appearance is for several reasons. Firstly, to instill a certain amount of awe for both Eve and ourselves on anyone present; this should bind the two of us together in their minds and increase their devotion each time they as much as think of her.
This increased devoutness should also help in making them spread the word (increasing the tale, as people are bound to do), making us more well-known, and gathering new worshipers... Who knows, they'll probably even decide to build us a shrine on that spot later on.
More immediately, calling her beloved of a god should also insure that the faithful will do their utmost to keep her safe, and seeing a god will bolster their devotion so much that our power should increase - even if not by much, I suppose that every bit should help in making a better first impression on the council.
As for the message itself, we are a GOD, not Eve's buddy, so we don't need to tell her anything about divine business or our whereabouts.
I agree to a bit of holy flashiness and a cryptic oracular advice, but not to actually declaring it a choice; stating it like this means that she can still make a holding action (thus not being shamed by either disobeying her god or the orders, or by abandoning her comrades to their fate), put the token to good use, and still keep an eye out for the best moment to lead those around her in a retreat to safety.

Considering Eve would be executed if it was found out she were female, it may be in our best interests to bide our time before attracting unwanted attention to her.
We can only reveal ourselves once.We can reveal ourselves as often as our powers allow, and our existence isn't a secret anyway, especially among the scouts, who already make sacrifices to us for our blessings. I see it more like what we did back in the beginning, showing off as a rabbit to the villagers to gain more power - only this time, declaring ourselves instead of letting some other god earn most of the prayers and only getting the leftovers.
Regardless of whether the increased scrutiny would make her secret harder to keep, we should bide our time for the appropriate moment to reveal ourselves. Do it for maximum impact - a show of force in the middle of a small camp doesn't seem like the right moment, imho.
That, at least, I can agree on. A poll would be appreciated.
Ok, the poll tie has finally been broken. So update is imminent. I've left the poll open in case of any last minute change.
GO WITH GEORGE. WE CAN REVEAL LATER.I thought we had agreed on letting others decide... Please play fair, eh?

Since it's so closely tied, why not go with whichever makes the story better? I'd say we leave it up to bahihs, since the readers can't come to a decisive consensus.Second this.

... Hold on, hold on, hold ON.I think he did, and it was the Ant God who got hit by the Fabric's deletion although I have no idea on how (I just hope it has nothing to do with blank check favors)...
Did George just subvert the Fabric?
I think we might have an accusation of our own to make, if we can...
Can we split our conciousness, in any way?We did it before:
You listen in to Eve's thoughts, she is afraid and nervous. Her leadership so far has been half-act and all blind-faith. She asks for guidance from you. Where shall her people go? Where will they be safe? You decide to exercise some of your new-found power, stretching your being, feeling for people, safe havens. (New Power: Limited Omnipresence) Your consciousness begins spread like air from a popped balloon. Its a strange sensation, to be and to feel and to know without localization, without compartmentalization. You can taste air and forest, dirt, the curiosity of animals, the heat of distant stars. Then you feel yourself going too far, like a drop of water dissipating, disappearing...you extend yourself further, stretch thin, miles and miles of empty land...then lights! Fireplaces and oil lamps, sleeping, snoring men and women, dreaming children. Warmth.
You snap back and it stings like a rubber band cracking into place. There is a village, with farmers, a weeks journey, north. Warmth.
They will be safe there. You transmit this information to Eve, in a dream. In the morning she relays the message to the women. And they sling their packs over their shoulders, their children over their arms. And they march, some of them shoeless, hungry, sick, tired, wounded. But they are faithful. In daylight heat they grumble and moan, but at night they bow in prayer to you. They have an unshakable belief in Eve, and Eve, in you.
It could be possible that the ant god temporarily turned us into the monotheistic god, if it is just a title maybe it can be passed around by a sufficiently powerful overgod type.+1
After the trial he turned it back over to muta and then left.
So when Muta said he was not that god, he was telling the truth at the time.
Lets try observing from two points at the same time and see what happens.

Well, now that I'm caught up:This too...
I think we need somewhat of a rebranding. We are not just a protector in terms of big, dramatic events. As a god of rodents, we should try to do something similar with farmers to what we did with hunters. Find some eloquent but impressionable person in a relatively dense population centre and use them to convince farmers to pray to us for protection from pests. Rats and mice would be doing huge damage, so a diversification into that should allow us to accrue, if not true believers, at least occasional sacrifices from each of many people. We're staying too small, it seems to me.
Though we should probably watch Eve's meeting, as there are larger things going on here than a few soldiers in a large war.
Request a promise/oath/swear from this individual that she and the men will be unharmed.I think he already gave his word, but I don't at all trust him anyway. However, I'm still itching to go.
Just so that you know, you missed in your "Previous" and "Next" buttons Post 578. It's only a short one, but I was rather confused by missing it.
I'm not sure that a request to go unarmed necessarily shows malicious intent. It's possible that it's just to prevent her having any ... disruptive ideas. Let's be honest, armed or unarmed they could kill her so easily that it's really unimportant either way. I say recommend that she go, if she wouldn't anyway, but I think that's mostly because I'd otherwise always be curious about what would have happened.Request a promise/oath/swear from this individual that she and the men will be unharmed.I think he already gave his word, but I don't at all trust him anyway. Unfortunately it's not the only game that the holidays seem to have killed... Let's see if we can get it rolling again.
As EV said, and suggest her to go along.
One of the gods in the pantheon is making a move for omnipotence, and we've already seen some radical realignments. It may be that if the pretender gets what he wants, we too may be destroyed, so it's better to be in a position to hijack the plan, or at least throw a spanner into it.
Anyway, it might be a good idea to go look for Glimiki and exchange information. He's on Earth now, and it'd be useful to see what he actually knows.

The candle closest to Eve flickers as an unfelt wind passes through it, and for a long moment the head of a rabbit is formed from the flames. The eyes stare into Eves, and a moment later it is gone.
>Reassure Eve we still stand with her, and that we are not like these other, cruel Gods.

I think you misunderstood the nature of the game. We already have a god, his name is Arlore (formerly Fluffy) god of rabbits/rodents. If you wish to play, you can suggest actions for this god. I would recommend you read through the past chapters so you know what has happened thus far.

Naturally. Indeed, your objective is to make Arlore the supreme god of the universe. He will settle for nothing less.

Don't we owe the current serpent/former supreme god Glimiki a favor for saving us? Right now he is a mortal serpent, though probably a rather terrifying one. I see an opportunity for us to both get out of a debt and for Eve to get a new pair of snakeskin god boots for this tournament. (I'm assuming that killing a god while he is mortal will actually kill him? I don't know how that works... If it just puts him back as a god, then we are still fulfilling our debt to him by freeing him of his mortal coil.)
Something to look into anyways.
For now, follow the birds. Lets hear her offer.

Explain the blessing ritual we gave to Eve and some hunters, ask if there is a more efficient way to give out such blessings or spread word of them.

So, either ask about what is under the mountains or if there is anything else we can do to help her or her husband out in the area we operate in.+1
Or maybe the nature of sacrifice in the world? Some of the points Eve brought up about sacrificing the goods and lives of others rang true to me.

We want power for the sake of Eve. The world is dangerous and cruel, and we've seen before what happens when we're to weak to protect her. It's pretty fuckin' presumptuous of Antman to assume why we want power or whether it's useful and to tell us we should give up, all from his god damn throne. If Eve chooses to go with Suha and give up the throne we promised her, then so be it. We're with her 100% of the way. But holy fuck does this guy have some assumptions about what we want or should do.+1

What are the chances that a rodent dug a hole in the corner of the ring last night that no one noticed and that Eve's next opponent might accidentally stumble into it during the fight?
Also that is ominous and creepy, great job Muta.
That was not necessary. Our objective was to be there when Eve needs us, not to win her fights for her. We should have let her take that guy by herself.

Wow, its been so long since my last post. I'm really sorry to everyone that's been waiting, I've simply been so busy with schoolwork I just kept putting it off until I just...forgot about it.just a thought: Ever think about being a writer/storyteller, your very good at it. also take your time
