Trump perceives worth in Russia. As such, I believe Trump will support Putin's efforts so long as he delivers...

This... I don't know what to say to this. Two master manipulators with hawkish ambitions. They would/are/will make a dangerous combination.

Despite all claims of being a Russian agent/playing into Russian interests/whatever, I think that even if Trump somehow manages to outsmart the First Woman President™ and win the election, business will be as usual. Combined pressure by the Congress, the establishment and the big business will probably force him to align with the usual US political course or else face a political gridlock. Maybe even an impeachment attempt someday.

And even if Trump nimbly navigates around all the pissed off influential powers, still there'll be a lot of opportunities for him to spectacularly ruin the relationship with Russia even further. The first real clash of Russian and American interests will put an end on all remaining pre-election friendliness.

I saw Trump seriously claiming he could, quote, "reset" the relationship with Russia, while simultaneously attacking Obama as terrible, if not the very worst President ever, for Russian relations. I don't think he caught the irony.

I think a war between Russia and the USA is more likely with Hillary in the Oval Office - she has a history of warmongering and a very staunch anti-Russian position. Trump will be quite busy dealing with political enemies at home, so the focus of USA may probably be shifted away from Eastern Europe (at least for a while), especially if he follows his campaign promises (unlikely).

If Clinton gets into power, anything goes, and that's bad news for me because my chances of survival in a full-scale war between Russia and America are very low.
