If ther eis a river with no up/down slopes on the sides and I jump into it (with 2 points in swimming) will I be able to climb out on the other side?
-
yes, with alt+moving
-
i've never been able too, bu ti have never tried with 2 points in swimming
-
Almost every time I jumped into a river with no slopes, I drowned. Well, there was that one time when I did get out, but that's an exception. Even having Adequate Swimmer didn't help. The only way I cross rivers is by Traveling across it, then > back into the walking mode.

It worked out just fine. To bad I gave into starvation.

Are you carefully moving to the open air above the water (upon which you suffer a fall) or are you carefully moving down into the water?
-
i don't see the difference

The walking into open air will leave you stunned on the bottom of the river, and, if you're really unlucky and unarmored, hurt you a little.

Where as Alt-moving to the lower level till is kinda like lowering yourself into the water when it comes to rivers, however if it's a murky pit even alt moving to get out doesn't work.
