It seems to me that we've got a problem. 6 Mane ponies, 7 Dwarf ponies. Is one of the dwarf-ponies going to be the 'good' one?

And honestly? I think we can argue that this is very much in the Halloween spirit.

I'm more than willing to take flak for this. I doubt I'll ever have anything for EqD ready, and being "that damn troll from Bay12" would be awesome :D
I think that we should get one or two chapters out for our cutefic quickly, so that it shows up right around Halloween to contrast the horror, like someone (Pickle, I think) said. Then, they get Dwarf Fortress.
Also, anyone contacted Necro yet?

And how I'm imagining it is that we each write our own parts, and we have interludes between each scene. I'm doing some Fluttershy torture, then we skip to Dsarker and Rarity, then on to Slag and his scene. I don;t know if that will work well, but we'll have to keep it int he boundaries of a few chapters, otherwise we'll have to submit new stuff and they'll be on to us.

That chapter thing's actually a good idea. Post two or three 'cute' chapters and then when the time comes hit them with the grimdark.

So we've got 3 people that you shall PM your entries to if you wish to be anonymous.

Me, Crazy Cow, and TheBronzePickle will be the main editors. Submit your entries to us, and we will reply with edit/rewriting requests. This will be, with any luck, reserved to plotline issues.

Basic timeline of both fics

OCs arrive. Meet Mane 6.
Each has an individual scene with their chosen pony. In cutefic, they'll be helping/working for help. They will learn hidden truths about themselves and all that stuff. This will be up to you.
If we have 7 ponies, Spike will be included in this. In gorefic, seventh pony and Spike will try and save mane 6? THIS IS UP TO FNIFF.
Story ends with either OCs have earned the friendship of the mane 6 and they move on to start their settlement OR in Gorefic, everyone dying horribly.

What would be good is to keep each chapter 'equalised'. For every good chapter, there is a parallel gore chapter.

I'm also a potent grammar Nazi. I'll take up the specifics of torture, though. I have a very imaginative mind, and can probably figure out how to make every little detail count.

Or going with parallel cute-gore updates? Not quite sure about the plan.

Good to hear. I can probably do storyline editing.


We're doing Cute chapters, for example Crazy doing something to help out Fluttershy. Then replacing them with gore chapters, in which case it would be Crazy torturing Fluttershy.

I'm not sure about my cute writing. As I've demonstrated here before, all my nice stories seem rushed and ill-written.

Perhaps if someone wants, they could take over for me in the cute department? It would be a massive help.
