"There might be herbs that we need here. If we burn it down all down who knows what we might be missing out on! Besides, I can easily get you guys out of here."

"I'm not really seeing the problem here. It's just grass, so it should be easier to get through than a normal forest. With no canopy, we should never have much problem seeing the sun. Our main issues are sticking together and knowing where we're going in the first place.

That last part being the most crucial... can those who do know let the rest of us in on the secret? What direction, how far, major landmarks if there are any? Six of us looking out for the right way is better than fewer trying to drag the rest of us along.

George casts flashlight on the magisphere since its getting quite dark now.

"If you guys insist." he shrugs.  "I still really want to burn it down though.  Are you sure we can't just burn it a little bit?"

"Thers's an awful lot of surface area in a patch of this stuff. You could wind up with a lot fire per square foot if it ever catches fire. Which means lots of air being pushed up from the heat which in turn pushes more air down into the fire. This gives the fire way more air and makes it all more intense sort of like bellows at a forge. Which in turn makes the forceful movement of the air all the more powerful. Putting it simply burning this stuff would likely result in firestorms. So we should probably be pretty careful with fire as we move through. It doesn't seem that dry right now though so we should be fine,"

"If you've a penchant for burning things I'm sure we'll come across plenty of oppurtunities as we go for more controlled fires. But I worry setting this stuff on fire will drive out all the local critters and creatures into the neighbouring environs. That'll probably mean far more encounters with desperate and hungry predators down the road. Assuming the fire doesn't spread outside the grass forest or cause other problems,"

"I have to assume it's not hugely flammable on account of it still being here even though lightning exists. It probably has a high water content at the very least."

At this, he grins.

"All right, well, glad that's sorted out. How about we make camp and not charge into the grass field in the middle of the night?

And can I still get some kind of idea where we're going?

Your magisphere transforms into a flashlight, illuminating the surrounding area. You can now see the tall grass clearly. It is very tall. It is somewhat grassy.

That is the only action anyone has taken.

Help make camp, and be a bit too excited about the prospects of a campfire.
