Title: Ruin Tech: Sci Fi Community sim, of all sorts.

And most things will depend on dice hence rtd.

Plot: Post Apocalypse deal, your on a community of 200 adult humans and you have rebuilder s part of the world as a community.

The issues are maintaining it, the enemies out there, and fact in the underground, is a technology site ruinsxape. Where once loyal machine and grown wonders now seek to kill human explores on the spot. And he’ll even if you get a tech chip or pieces. It is still random if your engineers can successful get anything useful out of the damn things.

So break down:

1: Keep everyone alive.
2: Dungeon underground full of goodies that you want/need. With monsters.
3: Pray That what you got is anything useful.

Who is interested? Max players is 5 ( cut down the 200 based on players. So at 5 would be like forty people a player.)

Also said people’s and so forth get the random dice generator to decide who does what.

And yes many things do exist and at start will do random roll to see what you get.

The character builder is dice making people, you get to name them though.

Alrighty you three.

For your lead characters it’s all random die rolls. You pick names and got a ton of followers to mold and etc.

Gender: All three of you landed on 1. Your all male

Points: For Skills, stats and so forth. 5 is maxed on a skill. 10 for stat ( not even making lists because true freedom, to a extent.)

The round up with those rolls and you three get 20 out of 30.


Starting toys: Rolling 100 three times for tech toys.

94: Well crap, I guess a form of power armor that is easily to maintain.

89: Auto Fire capable laser rifle. ( single, semi or auto fire. Needs recharge, battery, heat/sun or kinetic charging via use. Shoots hot beams of red death. Nice weapon roll really.)

79: Fancy map system to not be so lose in dungeon mode.

Lastly: Your compound is a lovely village with walls, towers and big guns. Currently in colder lands in winter so things are harder. The promise of spring means more life though.

Bicycles are more important. They don’t require likely-scarce food, and allow people to convert their own energy into travel distance much more efficiently than walking or running.

Current technology is that nothing with a motor. You guys figured out laser charging due to instruction by the machine that replicas tech ( useful plot device. )

So yes bikes and horses are as good as it gets. Given the fact the footing is rugged af and winter is starting soon though. Yeah.

First encounters

It was after the great fall. Ten years had passed and all of you have built a new community, hoping the mountains will shield you from the horrors of the world. It’s a good time and harvest, occasional wild animals had to be dealt with.

Does not help that the discovery of the ruins undervthe town helps any. Went down there three times. Crews of ten, only one comes back each time.

200 person colony

Walls, watch towers, gate, planting and storing room, living quarters.

Have 20 food Units ( value in food that supports the 200 Of you.)

Aside that phase 1

: The cold is here as things get icy, some of your group are up for it and in the twin watch towers the laser snipers hit great beavers that stumbled too close to compound. They are not predators, but giving they chew wood, and your buildings are that. Not a good thing.

Got pelts and .5 food unit. They are big.

Rest of Phase 1:

Community build? Training? Exploring?

All players get three moves.

Then comes, the underground.

Glass, King, Monkey and you Bature Girl can join. Max is 5. If fail bird wants in for real, acceptable.

The character system is just naming characters and now pick gender.

Stats, skills and etc will not have huge ugly lists. More of a progressive thing.

Good start everyone.

You all have 20 points. Both stat and skills.

Will update this. Busy lately but yep you guys are gold, it’s more of a experiment. Also if named character dies, can replace from the character stock.

So only true way to lose is all 200( you guys included.) well, die.

And it can happen.

No worries though, it’s all in the odds.

I was going to go for something super simple.

Might: Physical strength, health and stamina.

Intelligence: Learn stuff faster and more memory space.

Politics: Easier to talk to npcs in what is important in big picture and rig things up behind the scene.

Presence: People adoring, following or in fear of you,

Max is 10 a stat.

Skills:

Covers combat stuff, build, study, and so forth.

You get 20 in stats

And in Skills.

10 is highest stat

5 in Skills ( though if int is not maxed, cost multiple for said skills learned. But then again Skills do depend on stats. Combat, survival and moving really good.$

Alrighty. Good deal with skills.

As the combat stuff doubles for fending off enemies, fighting things on dungeon, or hunting dinner.

It’s all important.

Even history is. As it shows your educated enough to actually know of the past, which can call bs in some encounters and school the young people when they are in play.

Yes do things now. Organize more construction, forage/hunt as it’s winter, try to rig up something for the dungeon crawlers, do to winter snow, travel will be Alien down outside compound.

Results, so far.

Power: A 7/8. Given gas is in recession. Somehow by a twist of fate figure out how to burn wood, not just as heat source but as backup energy ( hey it is legit in WH40k)

Forage: 7/8. Not only some hardy plants, but seeds and with lore can tell good from bad.

Hunt: 5/8. Found tracks. But in general critters are rare now. Damn winter, though lucky Enough did not trigger main predators of winter, say a dire wolverine.


Explore around: 6/8

A stroke of luck, good and bad. Three dead bodies. Of people who had froze to death but seemed we’re to try to join the community.

A map, has to be translated. Some grenades/bombs, fine hunting blade, a compass, and a looking scope.

Alright Other team mates join in them part two, The horror, the underground.

Rolled results

7: To The map. After looking through it found matknof home camp and along map are four places of interest and arrows to them. Huh, interesting.

5: They figure to store the wood in community shed. So easy to access, though have to leave some out due to space. A clock work deal of replacing as it goes along with burning.

2: Attempting to make new generatorbresults in the assigned worker the status of maimed. How? He lost his left arm as thevdarn new thingy explodes st him. 199 healthy and one maimed. He is nick named Stumpy now.


Night event: Despite new lights and such, had to learn to keep the power off sometimes, ration and fact the light attracts monsters. Like this following night fire wolves showed up. S well placed gun shot killed the Alpha before they breached the gate. Still it is a scary world we live in.


Speaking of scary. Can now make a six person team if “dungeoneers” to go below to the underground. To try to find loot and hopefully not die.”

The squad goes into the service elevator. When they reach lower levels, familiar sights of blood, debris, weird lighting effects, and noise.

The squad has a auto laser gunner, three people with knoves a person with those bombs and lastly a heirloom sword.

As they walk through, there is noise. Strangely enough there are pretty lights shining on fruit trees kept alive some how. While a chittering was heard in background, aside four trees a panel and three unknown doors. Be careful, it only ends if people make it back to elevator or a party kill.

( You made the play so your the group. Unless a fellow player sticks in. Also so applause about my lack of detail, if not bothered by real world would have stated and gave personal quirks to these people.)

The three knives all got fruit and seed into carry bags. As they figure it will help in growing season.

As for the Noise, it was shown to be a robot, waist up, metallic innards pulled behind, fluids leaking and insides bumping into metal floor for the noise.

So no foe yet, but consider. Something did that to said robot.

Head back to the elevator. The food will help, and I think whatever did that to a robot would easily kill us so it would be safer to head back now

As your party heads back, Cue possible offender, it was a ape like creature with a large bladevweapon. Runs along while blade scraps floor, making sparks. Knives made it to elevator. Then the bomber, the Auto Laser Guard took aim and fires.


Critical hit. (Followed by a chart of damage.$ hot zone: Eyes.

: The heated laser blasts manage to get the creature in the eyes, melting them as it goes wild with fear. Only reason slice is due to thick skull.:

It has no blind fight abilities so swings wildly. As everyone makes it.

Food Units: 4
Seeds for harvest: 20.

No one died. Morale boost.

Gained no new gear orbtecjnology.


The following day, the Sun was about as the frozen world still at play, got one more month of this before spring. Two of the women are pregnant and keeping babies until said spring. But still not of much use yet.

 Area is re enforced. The building of it does not alert anything either. That’s a good thing. A strategic placed entry. Two of them and there was the map. Incase anyone wishes to go out into the wilds to see what’s there.

The seeds also kept so no worries

Generator: 9/12.

The base now has a actual power generator that has contained thermal energy so less fuel needed, given weather though need to station people to keep flow. Heat is life.

As for travel results. Two rolls and add together.

After getting a hang of the land marks on the map. One stumbles upon a ghost town. A place that may contain treasures. Though the wilderness has token over so may have beasties.

But not detected. The last order spot from a distance, do have people as one sees gates open and then they go in. By time head back It is Night, things come out.

But the World spirit, a superstition style Deity, seems to be protecting the two explorers that night. Just still not at camp.

As for camp the second elevator of three works. Mad Max McCoy at work. Now the third. He is the one who the blown arm off.

Note: Your skills got boost innobe of my earlier posts.

New skill learned: Medding limbs: Able to heal more and reset broken limbs, depends on limb. Still need months to heal, but no need tonslice them off now.

At base: Power to two of three elevators working: Patrols making sure the explorers will not be left inattained.

Team 1 (king)

Your brave party of ten, onevwith Auto Laser, rest with self made Melee Weapons were in a new party of the compound. Weirdly clean, like nothing going wrong. Machinery on display and such.

A circle, with strong glass borders.


Team 2 ( Nature Girl)

This team ends up in a place with weird looking meat moss and computers still working. Just might have tech Gain this time, another auto laser, a regular who found a hand cannon, a machete user and rest improv Melee Weapons down there. This kind and smells weird. Big rectangle type area.

Access the computers to try and find information about this place while having those not working at the computers gather some of the meat moss
