I suppose your adventurer found a cave, killed the inhabitants, then wandered the caverns until you found two forgotten beasts fighting?

Love the little outline of him standing there like "well that's a big ole' bucket of nope I just walked in on", and have had similar experiences. One map had like twenty shrines all up in the northwest corner so I walked in on multiple two or three or four titan battles.

Pretty sure that's actually him getting burnt to a crisp by a dragon.

EDIT:ON THE OTHER HAND, it's pretty difficult to interpret.

Look at the bottom center of the image, that's probably supposed to be a backlit adventurer, plus we're not usually the same scale as a dragon, though the tiles may all be the same.
