I like the idea that this was just an elaborate ploy to get Houlandin to eat shit from the elven relic and get Cyl back on the throne right after.

Besides, if all else fails we've got a spare Cyl in the dungeon. The true emperor! I bet all the Shadowrank operatives who roughed him up have leprosy now too, that's how imperial he is.

I'm actually really sad that Houlandin died. I was sure he was going to be an awesome Emperor.  Well I'm hopin' that Houlandin II gets a son. We can have Cyl lead a regency until he's old enough to rule himself. Cause at this point I doubt anything is going to kill the immortal old conqueror.

And even if he does some new religion will be worshiping him as the conqueror of the heavens or something like that. It sounds like a very Cyl thing.

It's actually kinda funny that we're back to calling our rulers Houlandin after all this time. Hope that we'll get a long line of Houlandins like we did in the first game. It's a pretty cool name.

TWO emperors of that name have died after ruling LESS THAN A YEAR! COMBINED! This should become the most shunned name in the Empire. It's cursed!

Houlandin was the name of many a great king back in the days of Luathbas! Sure some of them died a little young but even the ones who did still always managed to accomplish great things! Besides I think it's more of a Cyl's unluckly sons kinda thing rather than a Houlandin thing. At this point I'm of half a mind that some how that one sorceress's health spell has backfired into a curse for all the generations after Cyl. Since he seems to be stubbornly clinging to life.
