MafiaKart Racing. Each Day, all living players will compete to take first place in addition to voting. Depending on what place you end up in, you may receive additional powers, abilities, or other fun stuff, and these may or may not be told to you beforehand. Additionally, powers and abilities may affect cars during the race, and your current position will be updated throughout the Day.
Because of the BYOResque nature of the game, a sign-up sheet has been given for simplicity. Please PM this back filled out, for my sake.
Racer: The name of your racer. You can pick ANYTHING (People, places, things, ideas, etc), because that's just my style. If you get too obscure, you'll need to provide a link.
Race Car Number: Every car has one! Whether you're 007, A1, or $3.50, you need to let everyone know what car you're driving! Heck, describe your car if you like.
Web Number: A scale of -1 to 11 of how Weblike you would like your role, where 1 is very generic but incredibly useful and 10 is incredibly volatile and may alter or complete change your role or the game. We won't discuss 11, 0, or -1, since those are incredibly untested, super boring, or UNDERFLOW_ERROR.
Web Factor: A descriptor of how you would like your role to be. Examples may include Investigative, Cooperative, Infiltration, Cyborg Enhancements or Ponies. You can even pick multiple, if you'd like, but you may get lesser results from it (Or you can pick them for a specific alignment!)
Please maintain a chill atmosphere. I can, will, and have modkilled people before and will probably do so in the future. If you join, you promise to be both respectful and diligent while playing.
Sign ups will last for one week or until 13+ players have signed up.
Basic rules:
- No PMing to anyone but me, the mod. I won't make this an action either because PMing is stupid.
- No Quoting of the Mod in relation to PMs. You are free to quote anything in the thread. You may paraphrase your PM, but if you break this rule, you will be penalized in ways you won't like.
- Semi-hammers in effect. Days last on a soft 72 hours, unless a majority is voting for any player or No Lynch. If a player is hammered, there is to be no more talking. If you accidentally post something after the hammer, you can and should edit out the post. If an event happens that would modify the Votecount, the Day is extended 48 hours.
- Official Votecounts will be posted once every 24 hours. Spamming Votecount will not get you an additional one because I won't be here at that time.
- Nights last 48 hours or whenever all the actions are sent in. If you do not wish to action, please send a PM stating so. If you do not PM me the first Night, I will auto-!none every Night afterward until I receive a PM.
- Weekends count for 0 hours, as I enjoy my free time on them. I might Votecounts during the time period.
- Extensions require a 66% vote. This will be limited to 1 extension per Day, because, seriously, make up your minds already. Extensions are an additional 48 hours.
- There may be Post Restrictions. These should not interfere with gameplay.
- I cannot answer questions about player's roles unless that player's role is available to be seen (i.e. Roleflips.) I cannot answer questions about your role in thread. I can, however, answer generic questions. I will simply ask you to rephrase the question, if I deem the question is bad.
- I’ll make this game open to newbies, if you want.
- ADDENDUM: Days will contains 4 Action Phases: Morning, Midday, Afternoon, and Evening that will happen around every 12ish hours. All actions sent during that Phase will happen at the same time, as will any actions that modify the race. The race will end at Day end, and any additional actions after Evening will not be accepted (Though, the race MAY still be modified. You're never safe.)
- ADDENDUM: If the Day is ended before a Day Phase is hit (i.e. hammering, shortening, etc.), all actions sent up until the hammer are processed. If no players are killed during this period, the Day ends immediately. If any players are killed, votes will be reset and the Day will continue.
You are not in the game until I receive a role. Also, don't under- or overestimate your abilities or your role. And have fun! Because, honestly, that's the whole point.
Also, for those without knowledge of how I style roles, here's a little cheat sheet! If you ask me one of these questions, I will not answer it.
Common questions:
Q. What is a Cycle/Phase?
A. A Cycle is a Day and Night Phase. There are two Phases in a Cycle.
Q. Can I use more than one ability during a Phase?
A. Not unless your role specifically states as such.
Q. Can I self-target?
A. Not unless the action specifically states that you can. It is now labelled [target/self] or [self] for easy viewing!
Q. Can I target 2 or more people?
A. Only if stated in the action with [target x(some number)].
Q. If my action doesn't have a Phase to be used in, can I use it any time?
A. Yes!
Q. Can I Mafiakill and use an ability on the same Night?
A. This counts as using two abilities, so not unless you are allowed to use two abilities.

(1-Shot, Night) 1-Shot Night Ability [targets x(1-5)]: This ability is used during the Night and can only be used once per game. This may target up to 5 people.
(2-Shot) 2-Shot Ability [target/self]: This ability may be used at any time but only twice per game. This ability may self-target.
(Unusable) Unusable Ability: This ability cannot be used for some reason.

Q. Does the Mafia have a kill they can use at Night?
A. Yes. It is called the Mafiakill. It is available to all members of the Mafia unless otherwise stated.
Q. Does the SK/Cult have a built-in kill/convert?
A. No. No other alignment besides Mafia has any group/alignment ability available to them.
You are given one of these 13 alignments (or a combination of them) when the game starts. Usually, it will be Town, but you might be lucky!
