Infraarcana: a lovecraftian roguelike

It's still in early phases of development, but I've fiddled with it a bit and it looks promising.

There's two kinds of performance reviews: the one you make they don't read, the one they make whilst they sharpen their daggers

How are the graphics? Taz makes a funny.

Seriously though, about on par with vanilla DF.

*glances at muted master volume*

Perfect sound quality, imo. Don't have to go through the effort of tuning it correctly. By which I mean, "Turn it off."

Decent for an alpha. Has dynamite, blood, quick death... good for a quick spin. You get some quasi-spells via scrolls. Atmosphere's alright. Something to keep an eye on as it develops.

Pretty fun, accidently read a "Scroll of Pestilence" a large amount of rats and spiders suddenly appeared and I had to fight them off with a machete.

Well I guess that answers all my questions about the game.

Ohh well... I'll have Lovecraft Roguelike one day.

I assume your dancing skills helped you greatly on your struggle against rats and spiders with a machete.

Heh I was thinking of precisely that, which eventually caused me to think of your shrewd dancing skills.

This could be promising! Gonna watch how it progresses. Any other Lovecraftian roguelikes out there? I have a sweet tooth for these things, and "Cthulhu saves the World" was too humor-like to my taste.

How should one implement sanity in a Roguelike? This is an interesting question i think, and something the Dev of Infraarcana is currently pondering. I would feel sad if this Roguelike didnt have some form of sanity system implemented at some point, its such a persistent trope in the genre that it wouldnt feel right if it was left out. of coarse it needs to be FUN!

i will now copy paste a post from the dev board in hopes that the brilliant bay12 minds might brainstorm some cool ideas!
