It seems like no matter how many times I kill all the elfs but one, or seize stuff from the Humans.. ect..
They never declare war, And come back next year to trade..
Is this supposed to take a long time?..
And out of the many years I have played DF.. this still has never happened to me. Even after worldGen!
Suggestions? ideas?..
-
For the elves, try trading wood. I heard this would upset them more then jsut killing them. Another option might be to give elves a diplomat, as they will try to impose tree cutting quota.
-
I was trying to avoid using hack.. But seeing that there is no update for 34.11 yet, Ill start doing that..
-
Pfft..... war.... lol..... who needs war? Its more fun killing unsuspecting merchants every year.
-
I want more things to kill though..
:P For more fun.
-
Yeah, you'll be better off modding diplomats in or just using DFhack to add diplomats in. Then kill the diplomats.
-
Those elven bowman are a pain in the neck to fight. Many dwarves shall die for the cause!
I usually just trade them wooden barrels, wait till they get all pissy, they drop a bridge on their dirty little heads. I don't even care about taking their stuff, elven items are horrible anyway.

But there cloth! There cloth is dyed! Am I the only one who's entire industry revolves around elven cloth?
...Well I could grow it myself...

Plump helmets and pig tails, the only crops you'll ever need.

I dont play as dwarves. Humans or kobolds. So yeah. :D
To cause war, fixdiplomat using dfhack then murder every diplomat. Or for humans, there caravan.
-
For humans, use the fixmerchants command.

I would disagree. Running a cloth industry entirely on pig tails is nigh impossible during winter and spring.
So there are two other crop options needed to fill this niche;
Rope reeds, and Giant Cave Spider.
-
Giant cave spiders are crops?
...That gives me an idea for something to mod...
-
Giant cave spiders are crops?
You can sew crops
You can sew silk
Spiders are crops to me

Imma try and sig that.

I don't understand. If your clothing industry is run by anything other than elves, then you're doing something wrong.

So I am doing something right?
DAMNIT!

Thanks guys, I was gettint bored and hesitated to create a new fort, now I'm going to, just to really try the clothing, glass and ceramic industry and cause war with everyone else but dwarves. In front of a necro tower of course.

Give kobolds towns and [SIEGE], along with goblin siege triggers, so you get sieged by the GIANTASS ARMIES of kobolds.

Why aren't your dwarfs wearing leather? Why aren't you brewing the pig tails? Booze is far more important than cloth.

I have 700 pig tails. 1800 rope reeds.
700 units of Dwarven ale. 1600 River spirits.
It's easy to do process, weave and brew crops all at the same time.
I have very few animals.
I need leather for quivers.
Animal skins have a habit of trying to eat people.
Any one of those reasons.

My clothing industry is run by goblins. Crops are for booze.
