I was thinking we'd set up an orderly evacuation by helping the first few families load up and move out, and dismantle their homes before their eyes, all the while whispering sorry.
Bridge gives pre-cleared area, better view than rural with no destruction to scare people away. Portal is flow rate chokepoint. set checkpoints at bridge ends. set portal at bridge center. free-flow on bridge to portal. Use as no-mans-land against threats.
Hurricane, Blizzard 2 politely requests that you stop using the radio channel for interpersonal chats. I repeat, Blizzard 2 suggests that you not use the inter-team planning and coordination frequency to talk to people in the same damn room.((PW asked for people to keep chatter out of the mission threads. they're doing it right.))

System as it is now seems to work well enough.

"We have the gunship to provide support, and I'm checking if I can't patch into its feed. We should also have some extra eyes around once Flint has set up the cameras.
As for that spot, it seems suitable, but you might wanna see if you can't dig yourself in. If not for extra protection, then at least for concealment, and maybe a more stable firing position. You can use your laser to dig like what we did on the Heabi planet, should be doable enough. Dunno if Flint really has suitable long range weapons though.
In which case we will be able to quickly descend by rope to assist. There is no need to make ourselves another target while our ally remains uninjured.

I'm afraid claymores don't sound very useful, because I'm guessing we'll be the ones on the offensive most of the time. Even if they push us back somehow, I'm a little dubious they'd be arrogant enough to actually start chasing.
