I'm so glad Toady took the time to implement a screenreader for the blind players.

Most of the sounds are just recordings of Toady saying the name of what's on that tile in the most monotonous, bored tone of voice he can muster: "dwarf", "dog", "fungiwood cabinet", "water", "granite block floor", etc. on a loop until you move the cursor to a different tile. When there are multiple objects/surfaces on a tile (e.g. almost always), the voice recordings will play over one another simultaneously.

Of course, this must also encompass all the generated names, implying Toady will give us an official pronounciation for all the weird dwarven diacritics.

Alternatively, the names could be translated on the fly, meaning e.g. "channel" can be a designation or a dwarf called Catten.

Bug fix: Drawbridges no longer obliterate things under them.

Drawbridges obliterate everything that enters their tiles while they are raised. While lowered, they do not do this.

This includes while just sitting in the raised state, creating inconspicuous tiles of doom.

You know what? Any action, be it be attacks or other things that goes under the definition of "crushing" delete whatever they crushed from existence.
