Hello everyone! I am here today because I need your help.
Relatively recently, I started writing fanfics on the Fanfiction.com website. Thing is, I would like to share my "work" (although I donīt really consider it a piece of art and I donīt consider myself to be an artist in any way) with you all in hopes of getting some feedback/comments and, if possible, help/tips/whatever.
The first fic is actually a crossover (Doom/RWBY/Borderlands) called "A Hunt Like No Other". This one is OC-oriented and focuses on action and/or supernatural. Have a look: Crossover (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12770092/1/A-Hunt-Like-No-Other).
The other is my attempt to write a MLP:FiM fic, called "The Book of Salzar". Truth to be told, I kinda got this weird idea and decided to give it a shot. Warning though, it is kinda dark: Regular Fic (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12831230/1/The-Book-of-Salzar).

Just do edits to the first post or something where you keep a record of what's been added on which day. For example,
2018-30-03: new chapter for A Coruscant Jedi in King Arthur's Court
2018-01-04: new To Kill A Mockingbird/Bright crossover fic, Laws Unwritten

Sorry. But if I do that, people wonīt bother to look at it if it hits the second+ page once it eventually goes there, due to the constant creation or updating of other threads. And since I need an audience, comment etc. I am kinda forced to do this, since posting it changelog-style wonīt place it in the first page.
Btw, the MLP fic got its seventh chapter.

Other people posting on the thread will still bump it up to first page, as well as sticking it in the previous posters' New Replies page. Once people (like KittyTac apparently) get interested and start to post, you won't need to update the thread yourself. And it does make it very hard to read.

Let's line up the pros and cons of the two methods!
New post every time you update:
Keeps you from going down if people do not post in your thread
Hard to read
Keeps newer threads from floating up somewhat
Changelog:
Very easy to read
Frees up space for newer threads
Doesn't bump the thread, only leaves a "new" mark
Changelog is better.

And the "new" mark makes it likely that other people (like KittyTac and myself, at the moment) do post in the thread, thereby bumping it.

Just something I forgot to add. Those of you that bother to check out the stories, can you please write a short commentary either here or on the sites? Thank you.

MAJOR UPDATE: I decided to remove the MLP fic/discontinue it. Simply put, it began feeling uninteresting to write it. So now that said fic is out of the way, I will focus completely on the crossover.
P.S. Updated the crossover to chapter 19, the biggest one so far, with 10 000 words (including AN).

Why remove it? Coming back years later to re-read something and finding that the author took it down is one of my pet hates.
Also, you might wanna make the thread title more descriptive than it is. Atm it looks like a general fanfiction thread.

Good idea. Doing it now.
As for why I removed it, there was simply a lack of interest in it. Not to be an attention whore or anything like that, but it is nice to see that people are actually aware of the thing you write, not even needing to comment or like or whatever. The crossover is also why I dropped it. Most of my ideas and creativity is invested into it.

UPDATE: I am going to post here what I posted on the story.
So I updated the story to chapter 27, which is the end of Volume 1. From this month onward, the updates won't be as frequent due to me being busy. I can probably put a chapter per month (maybe two if I'm luck).
ADDITION: what can you expect on Volune 2? Based on my current plans, it will probably be shorter than Volume 1, but the action will be more present. More threats will appear and more problems will arise. It's a clusterfuck waiting to be unleashed and it won't be pretty.

We are getting close to the 1 year anniversary of this story! Also, I updated it to chapter 29.

IMPORTANT: I apologize for the delay. The chapter should have been up 28th, but it got posted three days later. I had to do some proofreading and add some things. It is, by far, the longest chapter posted in the story, which is why it took me so long. If you can, please write some feedback in the comments. I really need those to improve future chapters and it seems I rarely get some, which is unfortunate.

Happy Easter to everyone! The recent chapter i posted yesterday is a filler which explains what happened during the absence. We are coming to the end of Volume 2, and its gonna be chaotic as time goes on! Stay tuned!

New chapter up. I should really mention this, even if you can read it on the end of the chapter: from now on, every chapter has details/plot taken from the original fic, though adapted to fit into this one. Just for those who liked the older story.

The final chapter of the current arc is finally out. Now comes the real stuff! Be sure to follow the fic as the story continues from where the previous one left off (in its reworked version, of course)!

BIG UPDATE:
1. The story can now be read on both SpaceBattles forum and the Archive of Our Own site.
2. I wrote a rewrite of the first chapter. It can be found on Fanfiction site. I will post it on the above-mentioned sites as well.
3. I began (recently) another fic. It is a Doom only story called "Doom: Redemption Denied" and it can be found on SpaceBattles and Archive of Our Own. You can find the links for both below.
