Does B12 have many servers that don't require Hamachi? It doesn't work for me.

Kael's doesn't.

Speaking of which, when do people usually log in that server? I usually join that server and find no one's there.

I log on it on evening, european time, which means early afternoon for US people.

I log in late evenings in the US when I do log in. Which is occasionally.

Holy carp... I think I may have actually stumbled into an infinite lava duplication bug.

And I don't mean one where you have to click over and over to duplicate lava, I mean an infinite supply of lava that I don't even have to refill anymore.

I was playing with an obsidian generator, following two videos, one of infinite water, and one to clone lava REALLY fast, but I did something and now... the lava self refills permanently.

Stay tuned...

How to build an infinite water replicator with minimal blocks:

Requirements:
1 Bucket o' water
Glass blocks
A different block to block the water from falling while prepping

How to build:

G                                    G
GGGGGGGGGXGGGGGGGGGGGG <-- upper platform

                G  <-- lower section
              G  G

G = Glass
X = Drainage Plug

First, build the upper platform (glass) as shown above, starting from the left: 1 wall of glass, then 8 glass blocks, then the plug (place a different block there while building, it's important.), then 11 more glass block floors, then another wall of glass.

Next, build the lower section as shown above, underneath the plug.

Finally, go to the rightmost part of the upper platform, pour a bucket of water on the rightmost part (careful not to spill it over the walls), pick the thinned liquid you just placed, then go just one block to the right of plug and pour the collected water there.

Remove plug to create infinite water, if it was done correctly.

I use this:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It works. For some reason.

EDIT: Anyway.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I keep hitting that obsidian block by the yellow arrow, and neither the water or the magma lowers even a bit. I don't know the reason. I replicated the mechanism to the right in a different map and it doesn't do anything special if I drain it, so other factors are in play.

My theory is that the trickle is too little and the lava tank is high enough that the lava reduction wave doesn't quite reach the top. I did design the lower part to trickle as little lava as possible to the water (basically all you need is a single pixel high lava block on top of water.

Of course, the water part apparently simply keeps replicating, as per mechanism.

EDIT2: If anyone's curious, I used this method for FAST lava replication: http://www.terrariaonline.com/threads/the-absolute-fastest-lava-splitting-method-ever.29997/

It's crazy FAST. By the way, you don't need to click "really fast" with the bucket, if you hold the button it counts as two really quick clicks in a row.

I also use that kind of water duplicator, prior to finding the glass method. As for the magma, I wasn't able to make a fast replicator, so I scrapped it.

So.. texture packs? Is anyone else thinking an ASCII texture pack would be funny?
Like the dirt could be the block thing with lines in it like in DF, and stone might be completely solid, and ores would be the pound sign with different colors.

I approve. It would, at the very least, be funny.

So apparently there's a major mod of terraria now.

I've been giving it a shot and ehhhhhh.

Not bad for a first mod but it's kinda scatterbrained and all over the place. Still, it has functional water pipes (I think) so that's somethin.

Also make a backup of your terraria folder if you install this, people have been having trouble getting it installed and working sometimes.

Oh also, the hunger system they added as of now does absolutely nothing except make you generate a test food out of the air periodically so I wouldn't turn it on.
