It's not absolutely copypast. I'm just take structure from Meph and textures from Phoebus. I made grass (it's absolutely my work), replase some textures from Meph items (clothing, weapons, workshops) and from trees (trees textures are absolutely mine). I love Phoebus main tiles and dwarves (I made some textures for new dwarves), but remade stone and pillar tiles. I made textures for vermins and animal's big corpses.
Permissions? Is that all works are free? Phoebus was stolen some textures from Minecraft, why I must not stole from Minecraft?

You should get permission from others before re-using their work. I don't know if Phoebus stole Minecraft textures without permission or not, but that doesn't mean that you, in turn, can steal Phoebus's textures.

This looks like a nice set. I like the idea of mixing Phoebus graphics with Meph's tileset. However, you really should specify the tile size somewhere.

I was confused because, while Phoebus is generally 16x16, the Meph Tileset (http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=161047.0) is 32x32. Potentially, a mix of the two could be 16x16, 32x32 or anything in between. I mistakenly assumed that this was 32x32. (Some have been enlarging 16x16 sets like Phoebus with pixel algorithms like HQx or xBr (https://code.google.com/p/2dimagefilter/) or waifu2x (http://waifu2x.udp.jp/).)

Edit:

Have you considered releasing a 24x24 size version of this for those of us with high resolution HD monitors? There are several 24x24 Phoebus and Spacefox sets out there. And the Meph Tileset naturally comes with 24x24 tiles and sprites. Just saying... I would not think making a 24x24 version of XXTatteredXX to be too difficult.

Huh no need to be rude... You are not entitled to anything, the work is provided for free. You can express criticism but why would you need to be so rude about it?

In all seriousness, update your raws to curb hostility down by a factor of 5 and completely remove "inflated sense of self". Then have the courage and generosity to create art and share it with the world. Option 2 is to just stop stealing all of the oxygen earmarked for worthwhile humans.


WATERPHAGE13- Great work. I think the style you have created by modifying these two works has made something entirely special. The vibe is both rich and compelling, spellbinding if you will. Kudos!

I've already done XAdmissibleX version for those who don't love my crappy raws work gameplay content and working on XXTatteredXX 0.44.09. I've made total revision of animal raws. Sorry for long delay, I was VERY tired.

16x16. I don't want to make large versions because it's need to redraw ALL textures (sorry, I'm just too lazy jerk for it). The only reason why I did not choose Meph's tileset is that the tiles of this set are too big for me (really, 32x32 on my 1366x768 looks like rotten crap) and my computer does not cope with its improved graphics, even though the Meph's set is beautiful. LNP? Hmm, pocket version needs two files.

Nothing I do is getting this to work with 44.10..

The OP doesn't really specify if there's special installation procedure.

Unzipping the rar just gives me an error: "! C:\Users\[USER]\Downloads\XXTatteredXX0.44.10 (1).rar: Checksum error in dwarf fortress 0.44.10\utilities\Armok Vision\Armok Vision_Data\sharedassets0.assets. The file is corrupt
! C:\Users\[USER]\Downloads\XXTatteredXX0.44.10 (1).rar: Unexpected end of archive"

Installing it without the Armok Vision gives me an error saying i'm missing 'zlib1.dll'..

Raw magic. Every tile of carpet have own type of material, so we have 12 reactions and linked materials for each type of carpet, then add more overrides - and we have laggy carpets!

Nice idea though. Could even just link it to normal materials for, say, green one (though there's only kimberlite and nethercap for dark blue).

Something similar has occurred to me for mix of diagonal and curved walls before, but didn't connect here.

It was first concept of carpets, but workshops have a very jerk behaviour with property system, so... I've fully remade it (but I can't pubish it in a case of TWBT and engine problems (long texture loading crash that can be fixed with new loading screen) that authors don't want to fix for me only).

Thats why I'm using raws. Carpets are techically constructions of 36 materials. I mostly found an easy way to make special materials for tables but need only working prefix.

So you made custom inorganics called "table top end", "table middle part", "table bottom end"? That would work. Lots of micromanagement for the player though.

I'm trying to find another way. A table (direction) is a class of substances. I have prescribed a reaction where will :TABLE{dir}:Get_material_from_reagent:table:none, but crafted table are don't wan't to have name correctly

For some reason, if I transfer the content code from, for example, building_custom.txt to building_custom_XXTatteredXX.txt, then things will stop working.

That's by far not enough info to help you. That being said, I quite like the idea of directional furniture, I'm working on adding it to my tileset as well. Once I'm done, you can have a look at the overrides, inorganics, reactions and workshops required. Maybe it helps.

If I do everything correctly, then a table unit, a bag of bartacks (yes, a bag), a cover made of fabric, dyes and edge elements (depending on the table material status) will be worked on the creation of each section of the table.
