Is there any way to simulate rifle clips? Only a muzzle- or breach-loading rifle would use bullets one at a time like arrows. I want my dwarves to wear trenchcoats and wield Thompson SMGs with 100-round drum magazines!
-
The only way I think you could simulate this is by setting them to be made in stacks of one hundred, and making them break on impact 100% of the time. Other than that, I don't know.
-
That's not a bad idea. Bullets should break anyway, since bullets aren't reusable. Ammo doesn't stack yet, right?
-
It can't restack yet, so you'd need to make them break so that your dwarves won't carry around single bullets all the time. For different weapons, you could vary the number produced per bar to change the clip size.
Also, you should make the stick-in chance pretty high. Charging into battle with a dozen bullets embedded in each limb would be awesome.
-
I'm thinking of making this into an entire mod. Booze-loving dwarves + Prohibition = CHAOS! I should make a police civ that raids your fortress.

Slaves to Moonshine, God of Booze: Mobster Fortress.
DO IT!!

Is there a name for the style of hat mobsters wore? If you go to the Wikipedia page about Al Capone there's a picture of him wearing one.

I... really haven't a clue, now that you mention it. But I thought I heard about doing something like that awhile ago.
