(new topic because we can discuss the actual game now) The latest sandbox game for the DS was released in north America today. hooray! for those of you who don't know, scribblenauts is basically a puzzle game where you can type/write almost anything, and it will appear. by the way, it's released in EU in about 15 days, and Australia in October. Finally we have the advantage over you people closer to japan. By the way, Cthulu, yes. you can spawn Cthulu.

So...

It's out now here then. Meh...

Who's actually played it? Does it fulfill its baser concept?

IMO, maybe something like this with a user-updated word base would work, but I dunno about a standing vocabulary...

I read on Kotaku that some guys hacked the rom to find that it had about 22 thousand words. The guys who made it said there are still more words.

That means they've made over 22 thousand objects you can interact with in the game. That's impressive.

ThingyMaster brilliantly spawned a knight, a lance and an ostrich.

My problem with Scribblenauts is I kinda fail to see the difficulty.

Ohh there is a pressure pad... I need to have it pushed by three different nouns... Let me think
-Rock
-Box
-Anvil

i've played it. most of the fun for me came from how creative you can be. ohh, there is a pinata and i need to break it.
-TNT

oh, and it gets harder. in one puzzle there was a mammoth tied to the starite. the starite was dangling down a gap in the floor over a bottomless pit and the rope breaks incredibly easily. you the gap is too small to fit through and the mammoth isn't strong enough to pull it up for some reason. what do you do?

Ive played it and its pretty fun. There is a challenge mode where you have to do the puzzle three times in a row but with different objects each time.

Also its pretty fun to spawn radioactive waste, put it in the water, and see it kill the shark. Got a "Bio-terrorist" medal for that one.
