"I'll get him on foot. You three get to the shuttle, load the pod on it, then have Cabinboy direct you to the crash site. I'll find my own way back. Graves, do you have a sidearm for me?"

"I would have if we hadn't taken off so suddenly. Our driver really needs to ease up on the pedal..."
He is panting rather heavily.
"But... but... I don't think that was infantry fire..."

There is one viewport on each side of the vehicle, a slit through the armor, which is approximately 50mm on the sides/back and 75mm on the front. Graves takes up a spot on the left side of the vehicle.
"I can't see anything in this fricken weather."

Drive off towards the crash site once Cueball leaves. "So they are using artillery? Tell me, are we talking assault guns lumbering towards us or stationary pieces?

"I'll wing it. I think the survivor found a sidearm, and hopefully he won't shoot me.

Take Graves and CB to Graves' shuttle, Nyar. Don't be afraid to get rough with him, Graves.

Cabinboy, direct orders: cease jamming, escort current party minus myself to Shuttle G2, then navigate party to crash site of shuttle G19. Use of nonlethal friendly force and lethal hostile force authorized to fulfill these orders. Confirm.

Stick together until you reach G2, and you should be okay."

Give Cabinboy the printer blueprints chip. Leave the car, then go in the direction of S.D., keeping an eye out for his footprints. Not many people would be barefoot in this camp, or this weather. Check the visor settings to see if I can't cut through this rain again.

Scavenge the landscape for more items to add to my unlimited inventory.  Grab everything I find, regardless of how seemingly impractical and useless.  I got me some craftin' to do!

Miniroll for the people that posted so far:

Scavenge the landscape for more items to add to my unlimited inventory.  Grab everything I find, regardless of how seemingly impractical and useless.  I got me some craftin' to do!

[4] Disregarding the flamethrower group, you look around the general vicinity of the crash site some more. Here you find, buried in the ground, a large dirk made of high-quality metal and a staff built from a shining piece of chrome.

You feel that your movespeed has gotten slightly lower after you start carrying these items.

Got shrapnel piece!
Got broken pitot tube

"Okeydoke sir! Does this mean I can burn people again--"
Graves interrupts:
"Use the cabinboy to navigate? Your suits or shuttle must be malfunctioning. The shuttle has a directional radio it can use to approximate your direction. If everything were in order, you'd see the shuttle at all times on your HUD."

He is right. The shuttle doesn't appear on the HUD. You vaguely recall that it didn't appear even when you were near the shuttle--it only showed other people nearby, and even Nole and the others who stayed behind don't appear anymore except as gray icons marking their last seen position.
"Don't worry though, I can find the shuttle and modify yours to hand all communication over to mine. Let's get going."

Give Cabinboy the printer blueprints chip. Leave the car, then go in the direction of S.D., keeping an eye out for his footprints. Not many people would be barefoot in this camp, or this weather. Check the visor settings to see if I can't cut through this rain again.

[2] You exit the armored car. As soon as you emerge, you see a muzzle flash in the distance, to the right of the car. There is a shadow in the dist--
You hear a sudden high-pitched tone. The side of your suit was temporarily breached, although you don't feel any injury. The suit self-seals (1 damage).

The survivor seems to have run toward a thing that looks like a small crane being used to lift a piece of shrapnel... in the middle of nowhere.

Drive off towards the crash site once Cueball leaves. "So they are using artillery? Tell me, are we talking assault guns lumbering towards us or stationary pieces?

Slight problem--you got hit.

The armored car rocks to the right side as the high explosive round hits the armor. The entire cabin shudders--but the shot didn't seem to be lethal. The engine still runs, and you don't smell too much smoke. The throttle and steering still works.

lel
Hide somewhere nearby. If they don't find me, I shall scavenge for goodies near the crane. Carefully.

[6+1=5] You approach the crane in search of goodies... and you realize that the pile of sand was no pile of sand, but a magnificent sand fortress crafted with the finest details you thought possible in a sand castle... and the crane is also made of sand. And the rope. And there are little sand people in front of the castle! They don't seem to be moving, but there is a group of about ten holding up something about a meter from the castle in your direction. You pick it up without a response from the sandmen. It's a note:

YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES

"Thank you. I shall deliver it immediately."
Run away towards the car. Start screaming after I get a bit further from the sandmen.

Nole had been a little concerned with her lackadaisical attitude, but this was the last straw.  He grabbed her by the shoulder and pulled her back from the pod to face him.  "What are you doing!?  You've been acting very strangely.  Why are you eating oxygel?  And what kind of a name is NightHawkAssassin?  It sounds like a shitty username, like... I dunno "Slayer1557"."  He tries to calm down a bit and softens his look.  With a more gentle voice he continues.  "Please try to focus.  I'm not really sure what's come over you, but I need your head screwed on straight.  Let's start here.  Why did you think eating the oxygel was a good idea?  I mean, I doubt it's going to hurt you, but it seems like a pretty poor idea."

((Too bad the VR spree was after Nole's time.  While he's aware of it's existence, it's not something he would think of.))

"Deal." Move to the turret and turn it left relative to the front of the vehicle and scan around the left flank. "Though don't imagine that you will be a better driver than me, the problem with these road wheels is there seems to be a lack of road."

To think that I would find myself in the only situation that I am actually qualified for, World War two era combat. Nyar finds himself more focused than usual. It seems all of the reading of World War two era history Nyar indulged himself in is actually paying off.

Though I didn't plan on being useful to any old boring quack. I suppose I'll just have to meet my 'fucking around' quota later. For now... Asskicking time.

"So assholes, I wonder what roads they where planning on driving this thing down."

((Is this vehicle designed for a single gunner/loader or a both a gunner and a loader? Also according to my post the car rocked to the right indicating a hit on the left, in Cueball's post he sees the blast to the right relative of the car. I'm assuming my left is Cueball's right.))

Nole (Slayer1557):

Nole had been a little concerned with her lackadaisical attitude, but this was the last straw.  He grabbed her by the shoulder and pulled her back from the pod to face him.  "What are you doing!?  You've been acting very strangely.  Why are you eating oxygel?  And what kind of a name is NightHawkAssassin?  It sounds like a shitty username, like... "Haven't you had any?"
She holds up a piece of the gel. It gently oozes down her gloved fingers.
"This piece, in addition to carbohydrates, contains every important vitamin and mineral necessary for human sustenance. It also tastes like sugar.
How else do you live inside for hundreds of years? It's not like the pods freeze you solid, they only slow your metabolism and repair cell damage."

You have 10 red fish, 1 cooked
You have 6 green fish, 0.9 cooked
You have .9 cooked sand slug

Nyar Donovon (WunderKatze):

"Deal." Move to the turret and turn it left relative to the front of the vehicle and scan around the left flank. "Though don't imagine that you will be a better driver than me, the problem with these road wheels is there seems to be a lack of road.

((No, the muzzle flash is to the car's right, and the rocking is toward the car's right as well.))

You swap places with Graves, who briefly looks over the controls while you turn the turret, looking through the periscope attached to an eye above the gun.

[2] There is nothing to your left. Nothing to aim at, at least~

(5) You hear an explosion on the ground to the right, and then a gunshot. [5-new miniquest] it missed!

[5] In response, you swing the turret around and nail the target with whatever round is currently loaded. (1) It hits (2+2) and explodes on the side. But there is return fire still. You saw a crater about two meters away from your vehicle on the ground.

(3) The second incoming round [3] hits with a glancing blow (+1 effective armor) and (5+3) is deflected effortlessly to the side. Graves throws his head back.
"That round just came within a foot of my face..."

Current Armor: +2
Current weapon: 60mm Mark III Gun (Accuracy: 4close/3mid/2far)
Ammunition:
6x High Explosive (Power: 3) (Can hit multiple infantry)
7x High Velocity (Power: 4)
2x HEAT (Power: 5)

Cueball (Paphi):

Cueball throws his hands up in annoyance when he sees the survivor running towards him.

Quote from: Radio
"This damn kid is coming back. Nyar, I'll drive. You man the turret."

Get back in the car and drive carefully toward Smooth, stopping to let him get in.

You re-enter the vehicle, and it seems that Graves is now driving while Nyar is the gunner. Graves floors it after Nyar fires. [3] Nyar struggles to reload while moving, so you help him complete it by next turn.

S. D. "Smooth" McGroove (SaberToothTiger):

You run screaming toward the pyramid-shaped car that ran over the infirmary! Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, it is under fire from an unseen threat. Busy screaming through your gas mask, you can't tell where the shots are coming from. There's no tracers, unlike what you see in action movies.

You are now at Close Range from the car.

Defeated, he lets out a sigh and his hand drops to his side.  "Ahh, sorry.  I didn't know.  It never really occurred to me.  For your sake I hope you're right.  I'm just on edge.  So much can go wrong here, especially before we get in contact with the others.  Hell, that's assuming they even landed safely.  Anyway, just... be careful.  And let me know if you plan to run off."  He casts a sideways glance at the offered gel, and takes a tiny bit with a finger and tastes it.  Embarrassed at his outburst he leaves her be and goes back up top.  He felt a little guilty about the whole affair and decided to just finish off what he had cooked. (Master Chef Bonus, get?)

Putting himself to something more productive he sets about making some face masks for the group to protect themselves from the particulates in the air without wasting the Magnus suits.  Grabbing one of the two unused jumpsuits, he cuts it into at least 6 masks, maybe a few extras depending on how much material remains.  Just trying to protect the mouth and nose.
