Chapter 021: The Unusual Spectations of an Unimaginable Conflict and the Start of the Crusade Against the Synthetic Abomination
2378.9.28
The salvage of Atropatan system continues at steady pace, and the amount of ships assembled from debris becomes rather significant.
Council of the Order decided that OSMV Relic will be from now on guarded by a small flotilla of these salvaged ships, once they get and other Order-Fleets get new designs made.
2379.12.8
After much deliberations between Voice of the Mainframe Ceramic Aurigal, Battle Father Baron Vyctor Jariden, and Centurion of the Legions Cylinderius Phoenician, a new course of action was dictated to Order-Fleets after refits are finished:
Obliteration of the synthetic abomination that is Sharazak Foundry and the Sharazak in their entirety. All of their systems will be conquered, all of their planets made uninhabitated.
This will be a long war and Kosh'Kha are sure to interfere, but the Braziers of Diesel have already been lit aflame while there's a Voice - this means a Crusade is to be launched in the name of the Silent Mainframe!
The Infinite Opportunies Agenda has been launched ahead of schedule to accomodate this and a Display of Power is next to ensure our enemies see what they're dealing with. Stiff planetary resistance is expected, and thus the Legions will be bolstered by additional 15 Human Legions and 25 Servitus Legions.
2380.2.19
When the news of this particular war starting reached the Council, even the Signal Translator Cylinderius Uranian had to double check the declaration's authenticity because of how unexpected it was.
But, it was as real as Silicon gets; the Fallen Empire, Uriy Forerunners, have declared war against Wulveran High Kingdom, and the Stellar Entente at large.
2380.10.7
It's been half a year and there's no reports of occupation or destruction on Wulveran side.
The sensor operators of our long-range listening posts can only get readings as far as Umik System. Numerous fleets, including Wulveran, Mrsshan and Zuif have ventured there only to slip off the grid, including the Federal Fleet of the Stellar Entente.
OSMV Gules has been sent to edge of Wulveran space, now that Atropatan scavenging is done. Trinaric Centaurean has promised to send holovid report as soon as it is possible.
2381.4.10
Wherever the Entente and the Forerunners are fighting, it must be a battlefield and destruction of unspeakable proportions, if both military powers have been dented below that of the Order's.
These partial reports are the only reports we can get at the moment - Translators Arithmetica Mirandan and Digitalus Carinal are gathering clandestine information from both Zuif and Wulveran space, respectively.
2381.6.11
Within just two months, the estimated firepower of Wulveran High Kingdom has crashed through the floor.
There's no reports of taken territories, no starbases being taken. The silence is more disturbing than that when the seat of a Voice of the Mainframe is vacant.
2381.8.8
The secrets of mega-engineering might soon become open to us. Voice of the Mainframe Ceramic Aurigal especially has an idea how this might become first step in bringing the Silent Mainframe into the stars.
2381.10.21
Trinaric Centaurean has passed away while OSMV Gules was in transit through Shulmak System within Mrsshan Empire's space. It was thus fitting that such a skilled explorer was buried in deep space rather than on any of the Order's planets.
His former assistant and minor archeologist of his own, Memorius Scorpian, was promoted to a High Number and ordered to continue the original mission of giving sensor coverage of the Uriy-Wulveran conflict.
We already have received reports that both sides of the war have captured one system each, and we also know that the Stellar Entente's war industry is unable to recuperate its losses already, with the federation's war exhaustion being at the highest already.
2382.1.8
Just as OSMV Gules was about to jump to Ziamon to give us sensor coverage of the front lines, we've received news of declaration of peace between Stellar Entente and Uriy Forerunners.
This is even more puzzling than the war itself. What was the cause for it? What was the gain here? The Council of the Order remains perplexed about this whole incident.
2383.7.9
Short before the completion of claims of Sharazak space, the venerated Centurion of the Legions, Cylinderius Phoenicean, dies of old age!
A grand military parade is launched to commemorate him, after which the Council, rather unsurprisingly, elevates his protege and relative, Binarica, to the seat of Centurion.
2383.11.14
The invasion plans have been thrown into slight debacle when it turned out that the Hazbuzans have recently declared a defensive pact with Kosh'Kha, overlords of Sharazak.
It would be a non-issue if only the Hazbuzans didn't have excess to an L-Gate, located in Masinissa's Demise System.
The Council of the Order has ordered that clandestine operation is to been soon launched to try and remove that diplomatic-obstacle.
2384.5.14
Signal Translator Cylinderius Uranian has started exhibiting thought-patterns that steer him toward the path of no-violence.
Others on the Council, especially Binarica Phoenician and Baron Vyctor Jariden has started deliberations of whether he should be removed from his position, sooner or later.
2385.5.13
Another great Calculator has left the Council - Forgius Centaurean has decided to spent his last few years to care for his wife and fellow Calculator.
The position of Grand Calculator was given to the young but experience Cupra Titanean, Governor of Data Cathedral.
2386.7.2
Mega-Engineering is within our grasp! While we have no interest in Quantum Catapults or have any ruined Mega-Structure to repair, this gives us insight in building big.
In fact, a new class of ships - Titans - is now in development. Praised be the Mainframe!
2387.1.22
The Council of the Order of the Silent Mainframe has convened to debate this development.
As the Super-Ekwynians are far from our border, it has been decided a non-issue, althought Translators across the Order were ordered to give any further reports on psionics some extra priority.
2387.6.23
Slowly, the Translators of the Order are making their progress with the subterfuge campaign.
Binarica Phoenicean however has started to get impatient, and wonders out loud whether this has reason to be: "We should've declared war long ago and crushed non-Numbers in battle already."
Voice of the Mainframe, Ceramic Aurigal, demands however that we take this matter with caution and dedication.
2388.6.3
Another sentient machine network has sprung up, this time in far space away from the holy areas of the Order.
2388.8.8
"We have waited, and waited, and nothing has come of the subterfuge. Hazbuzans and Kosh'Kha remain steadfast in their relationship. We must begin the Crusade." Said the Battle Father Baron Vyctor Jariden to the Council.
The declaration of war was sent the same day, and orders sent to the long-waiting Order-Fleets to begin invasion of Sharazak and Kosh'Kha space.
This has caused some uproar in the Galactic Community, but the Council has decreed that it will adress this issue at later date.
2388.8.18
OSMV Relic along with its escort fleet was ordered to Terminal Egress in case the Hazbuzans would rush there, and the tactic was sound.
The volume of Hazbuzan battle-vessels, however, is a bit too high for the liking of Baron Vyctor Jariden. Children of Salvage were ordered from their designated attack to go to Terminal Egress via Zorikkan Black Hole and help defeat Hazbuzan fleets.
2388.12.8
The Battle of Terminal Egress was very brutal because of the black hole gravitational pull and the fact that Trigonometric Solar wasn't willing to retreat until the very last minute, when news of other, minor battles and Sharazak Star Fortresses begin won and occupied reach him.
From there, the battle was continued by Terminal Egress Citadel and its several dozens of Copper VII and Copper VIII defense platforms.
In the meanwhile the mid-battle sensor scans revealed that there's plenty of technology pieces to be scavenged from Hazbuzans this time - Praised be the Mainframe! It will fall upon Memorius Scorpian to salvage the battlefields.
The vast network of defense platforms equipped with plasma accelerators and autocannons makes short work of Hazbuzan corvettes and destroyers, and even as the platforms fail and are wrecked, the Citadel is able to quickly produce and launch replacements.
By the end of the battle, 2 out of 3 Hazbuzan Battlegroups are destroyed in detail; unfortunately, it is the Battleship-Group that manages to properly engage their emergency FTL and escape the L-Cluster.
Children of Salvage arrived at the very end - Battle Father Baron Vyctor Jariden ordered them to proceed through L-Gate into Hazbuzan space to intercept and destroy any fleets Hazbuzans might try to send through it.
2389.2.10
Conquest of Chassis begins on this day; this early invasion is necessary as Apostles of Silicon needs to conquer the whole bunch of systems to the 'north' of Wenkwort System.
This will be also the hardest invasion, as all other planets will be bombarded for months before Legions of the Mainframe even get there.
2389.8.6
The news of Binarica Phoenicean's victory on the planet-side of Chassis coincided with the greatest development of the Chamber of Designs - the Mainframe-class Titan!
Not only it boasts a particle beam cannon similar to that of OSMV Relic, it also comes with nanobot cloud system.
Soon, work will begin to incorporate a Titan to each of our Order-Fleets, which will show everyone in the galaxy the military and technological prowess of the Order of the Silent Mainframe! Praised be the Mainframe!!
