From what I've seen thus far, If I had to generalize folks here with a set of traits, I'd go with "Long-haired, Intense Oddball Nerdburgers".

You're going to have to provide a definition for nerdburgers.

Neckbeards, nerdburgers, I've been outside the community for too long, I guess.

Just this weekend we stumbled upon a small game-shop in a small town, with nerds in the back playing MTG. It felt like coming home after 15 years. Of course, I was dragged out of there by my non-nerd better half before too long... ::)

Nerdburger comes from somewhere in an old memory... not sure what from though. In my mind, it's something akin to a Geek/Nerd fusion. A Nerd+, of sorts.

Nerdburger: n. (nurd-bur-gur)
1. A concentration of two or more like-minded nerds in a given group/sandwich.
2. One who displays a higher-than-average degree of nerdiness.
3. One who displays the qualities of both nerds and burgers.

I like Jacks better. We are sexy, serious looking nerdburgers.

Them youngsters and their internet facebooks on their dangfangled computer-machines!

Actually, I'm going on 24, so I can start to say stuff like that. Why, back in my day, vidoegames only needed 2 buttons, and 16 colors! And that's only if you were at the Arcade, or had a Color TV!

Yes but there is no room below.

There no room below the attic?

All the rooms below serve a purpose right now.

I have no basement.  Aquifer caused it.

A stick.

No, seriously, I have a weird fascination with sticks.  I used to collect sticks when I was a kid, finding inherent value in any number of unusual shapes and sizes.  Right now I have a stick on my desk that I've had for years, and that went through our move from Colorado to Nevada.

I was more interested in sticks than the family dog.

That's not too bad--my first "friend" was a tree >_>

Of course, I'm not so into trees nowadays.  I'm a book-collector.  If I ever get a camera, I'll have to post a picture of my bookshelves.

Oh, we totally used to play boardgames too. More often than that, we had no games, and had to cobble something together out of odds and ends. Nerf Gun Tag, etc.

My friends and I used to use sticks as props for games and such too. We were basically LARPing without any prior knowledge of what a LARP was, or RPGs for that matter. We just did collaborative storytelling on the playground or in the fields and woods and swamps around my trailer park.

We built lean-to shelters and forts in the woods too, and even had a functional outhouse made out of a shower curtain, a wooden chair, a bucket, a broken door, and other found objects (cleaned to the best of our 10-year-old ability).

That's not too bad--my first "friend" was a tree >_>

Of course, I'm not so into trees nowadays.  I'm a book-collector.

Something about that seems twisted. Basically you went from best friends with trees to butchering them, grinding them into a pulp, and reading words tatooed onto their dried, pressed corpses.

Well, when I was little, we had to work 25 hours a day, lived in a hole, and only had cold grit to eat.
