Don't worry, soon the ocean will be so full of US wrecks that the Japanese won't be able to cross the pacific anymore!

How did you discover my plan?  :P

What are you going to do with your air units? Do the nearly futile fighting back or saving your pilots? Even if you lost 0 to 100, the real loss is not in the machines (unless the losses are B-17, P-40E) but the men flying them. You might afford losing a hundred Buffaloes, but ask yourself, is downing 3-4 Zeroes and some bombers worth the 50 pilots?

We are infact breaking even. Inflicting as much damage as we are taking.

*In fact more for the moment.

You should try against a human... With the superiority in pilots, planes and numbers it has in the beginning anything but 5-10:1 for the Japanese means that eitehr the Jap doesnt even try or the Allies pulled their units back. If you get 1:1 losses now, expect 2-3:1 later.  :-\

AI is doing well, it just can't reach Singapore and Manila with escorts. Dont worry, i'm sure they will land fighters in the philippines soon  :P

It cant? It has 200+ fighters sitting in Formosa. They can all, but the 43s, reach Manila and beyond with the drop tanks.... Those Zeroes in Vietnam can reach Singapore too, its extended range so somewhat higher ops losses, but doable.

edit: remember Sakai's first kill was a P-40 over Clark Field on December 7th.  ;)

edit2: actually even Ki-43 can do 10/12 hexsides (400nm, 480nm) with the drop tanks... Not quite well as A6M but impressive compared to, say, Ki-61's normal range of 100 without the tanks...

and edit3: what did the AI raid on day 1? There are pretty much 2 options, airfields or Manila harbour. Airfields if you want to neutralize the US air units in almost 24 hours, harbour if you want to strike the 27 submarines. I went for subs first, got at least 8 of them. P-40s were evacuated when they lost 10-1 the second time.  :)

To be fair they raided well the first day, on the second I send CAP's up to fight and just managed to hold them off. I haven't really been analyzing the AI but I forget how many escorts they had.
