Problem with modding ranged weapons for new race

A friend and I have created a mod based on a race of creatures from some stories I write, and aside from one oddity, they work just fine.

That oddity being that the ambusher/marksman classes don't come with the crossbows or ammo that we added. They turn up with empty quivers, but neither bows nor bolts.

Marksmen use the CROSSBOW skill, not the BOW skill.
The Bow skill is generally hard to use (and impossible to assign in Fortress mode), so it's recommended you change the bow to use "CROSSBOW" skill, even though it's not a crossbow.
Only difference will really be the name.
