Title: An incredible realization
Post by: Remalle on June 21, 2011, 08:45:01 pm
I realized something, just now.  Bear with me for a second.
What are dwarves known for besides bearded women and abused livers?
Living underground, of course.  Like, deep underground.  In giant, complex, well, complexes.  What else are dwarves known for?
Bending the laws of physics.  Breaking them, even.  Even outside of DF dwarves are generally incredible metalsmiths on the order of "magical".  What else are dwarves known for?
In the context of DF, elaborate not-so-easily-escaped death courses.  What else are dwarves known for?
A bit of a stretch, but computers.  Fluid logic based intelligence.
Also, magma.
Now, who do we all know that also fits that exact description?  APERTURE LABORATORIES.  Your mind has been blown.  Thank you and good night.

Alas, Aperture is not known for its breweries.

Hmm... so my false entrance with the death machine in the centre surround by rooms full of trap now has a name.

now if I could only automate it I would have the perfect sociopathic homicidal AI

And the subject of bearded women is hotly debated.  I am staunchly anti-beard on the womenfolk (it's right there in the raws, people!)

Otherwise, mind blown good sir.

Beard are fine on women, as long as they comb them so that they're as soft as the rest of their hair.
