In Adventure mode, checking temperature and weather:
"Being dead is cold and clammy" When you try to check temperature while dead!
"There is no sunlight when you are dead" When you check for weather while dead!
"Looking for home? Quite a long way yet."
and
"As you journey to the center of the world, feel free to read the death announcements of the dwarves that suffer your neglect."
Also, attempting to eat swamp water or mud gives you "No. Thats disgusting."

Unless you're super thirsty or hungry.

Awesome, never knew about those two. You also get a message when trying to search for 'Electrum' from the Manager menu if you don't have the Dungeon Master (or trying to buy it on 'Embark Journey') :

no worse then the endgame demon. not only is he older then time, but someone was forced to imprison him under a mountain, behind a wall of adamantine and he managed to strike down every single dwarf in your fortress once you breached that prison.
then you go ahead and cut him in half with a thrown -wooden ballista bolt-, or clobber him with your +steel warhammer+ which sends him flying into a wall where he blasts into pieces. yawn.

I always preferred to think that the dwarves put up a valiant fight and greatly weakened the demon. So much so that a single adventurer can strike him down and take all the glory.
Hopefully next version we get to fight him ourselves. Perhaps he's size 25, with a damblock of 50 and fire breath next version? Damn it. Now I have to mod one into current version to see how destructive it is!
EDIT: Heh, I modded one in. Nigh unstoppable. In fact, I'd say the endgame demon would have to be weaker than that, because the only way to kill the fucking thing would be to instagib its head, upper body, or lower body (since I set it so it can't bleed, doesn't need to breathe, and can't feel pain or get stunned)... and that's pretty much impossible with a damblock of 50 :P
Of course, I don't know how well it'd work against a wave of 50 dwarves, 20 of them champions, 20 more are weaponmasters, and every single dwarf has masterfully crafted adamantine armor and weapons. Dwarf forts in adventure mode are seriously weak and I never even saw any weaponmasters.
I beat the hell out of a hydra though. :P

That sounds perfect... So strong that nothing can destroy it; isn't that the idea? And you must admit... that would be a pretty epic fight.

And have the dwarves have all the skills and attributes of when they were alive. That will make it harder to kill the addy demon. Having to charge through your entire fortress of elite dwarves, nobles, workers and haulers. All with the equipment that you had produced for yourself. All that steel to kill goblins, and adamantine that you had produced to equip your adventurer will be used against you. Of course lever defenses won't be and if set up correctly could help you.

Well... not entirely.
If he needed to breathe or he died from bleeding... a single nonelite kobold bowman could have killed him with its not-so-lucky strike. :P
If you get a quest to kill something (cyclops) and bring wave after wave of people with you, for instans drunks (that can't fight for ****) and the quest target keeps on killing them, then when he finaly speak to you he will mentiona all the people he have killed with a evil touch. "I have slain **** **** who only took up arms becouse she couldn't find a man." , "i have buried **** *** alive under a mountin of hate." and on and on and on. Since i sent wave after wave of drunks against the cyclops, i got a two page list of people killed before it was finnished... and smashed my head.

You could try modding it into the raws as a monster that randomly turns up as your fortress, like the colossus (colossi?) or dragons. That way you'll get the chance to throw your entire army at it and see how it fares.

What's epic in getting squashed by an omnipotent symbol of evil?

The feeling of your ribs between your toes.
Did I mention I made his bite inject pure fire into the victim that burns them from within, paralyzing them? :P
Like a picture of a dwarf with the lines blurred out in a spiral I believe symbolised "some dwarven name" getting encased in adamantite in a time before time.
Anyone care to try just making speedy dwarves and doing tons of engravings for your adventurer to look at?
i found moss on my fortress wallsI found moss when embarked on shrine of bronze colossus.
