If you want to do anything regarding gods, dump them in faith until you hit 40.
That would be a waste, my level 10 pianist last time had 20 from dreams only.
Pretty much the same here. Faith raise a lot during sleep, like healing and meditation. However, after a while the potential drop so low that it really could use a bit a investment. Since by this time the cost in platinum coins has increased, dumping a few skillpoints isn't a bad idea IMHO.
What I'm curious about is how you handle your skillpoints.
And where you would suggest to put them in as a pianist.
Can I dump all of them in negotiation?
It depends too much on your play style. Are you usually in the front smashing, slashing and butchering mobs? Then priorize combat skills, mining (for constitution), anatomy+cooking (for attribute gain from eating corpse).
Or are you rather staying behind a wall of pets shooting, throwing and casting? Defense and whatever ranged/magic skills you use should get the priority, riding so that you can stay out of melee range.
Maybe you are instead a pacifist, avoiding combat as much as humanly (whatever that means in Elona) possible and letting pets do the needed but dirty work for you? Then dump points into defensive skills, performer (to make $), negotiation (to get the most out of your $ and to make even more $), investing (to avoid wasting $), gardening (some $, but mostly good for attribute/items/food), riding (easier to be a pacifist when you move faster than the enemy
) and either some casting/literacy skill or magic device to get yourself out of trouble.
Or you can go for a mix. A quick riding claymore wielding fighter that slash than retreat, a heavy armored shotgunner, a nimble beer thrower supported by caster pets, a brute wielding a scythe supported by a pantie-throwing bell or a
Kill Kill Piano hurling performer.
The choice is yours and I couldn't give suggestions without also suggesting a playstyle. Elona has too much to offer to accept cookie cutter builds. The whole interest of the game IMHO is experimenting with different style... and yes that includes the ones that just can't work
P.S. I just decided the next character I play will be a beer-thrower, supported by a pantie throwing bell and a scythe wielding quickling
